Prayer: Saying goodbye to insomnia

These days I can’t sleep, and I was thinking about how many times we have insomnia and say we don’t understand why, and sometimes we just don’t want to admit that we are worried about a specific issue or that we need to solve something with someone. But we can’t always do what we need to do at that exact moment, or we don’t even know how to solve such a situation, so we need to give it into the Lord’s hands and let Him guide us to rest and then calmly know how to act on a certain matter. With this in mind, today I want to pray with you that we can together say goodbye to insomnia. Prayer: No more tears!

Crying can sometimes be good, but we know that it isn’t always… so many times we have a lump in our throat that doesn’t seem to go away, the world gets a little gray and everything seems worse than it really is. But lately I’ve learned something that has helped me a lot, and I believe it can help you too: when the world seems bad, be thankful for the good things. Once, when I was very young, my father taught me to look out the window. That is, to look out the window and see what was beautiful through it. Our eyes are sometimes so used to looking at everything in a negative way that we simply forget to look for what is good and brings peace. Prayer: Humility before the Father!

Today I want to pray for a delicate subject in a world where we are encouraged to think only about ourselves, which is humility. So many times we don’t inflate our ego not only before people, but especially before God who is our father, we are proud, we consider ourselves as the owners of reason, and we act as we please considering what is best for us. The lack of humility also leads us to rebellion that keeps us away from God, so today we will pray for humility before the father and with people. Prayer: Health to keep going!

In the last few days we have been talking about healing here on the blog and today I want to pray for health to continue standing firm, fulfilling the purpose that God has for us, whether it be work, academic, family or ministry. Prayer: Returning to the arms of the Father

We are called to be children, but how often by our pride, arrogance and sinful nature, we decide to go our own way, without asking the Father’s direction, trusting that we know what is best. We turn away from God’s presence and at some point we realize that we are actually doing a tremendous amount of nonsense. We are troubled in the depths of our soul, anguish beats, sadness and so many other bad feelings of restlessness. But you know what? God loves you, he never stopped loving you and is eager to welcome you with open arms again. Prayer: Constance to build!

Today we will pray for constancy, so necessary in our lives, because without it we won’t build anything, nor will we get anywhere. In the Bible we find countless stories of people who, through constancy, took their relationship with God to another level and were used by our Lord. Being a fickle person leads to frustration for never building anything you want, not to mention that this bad feature can lead someone to a divorce or the loss of a job, maybe you have been that way until today, but it’s ok, because I know that with the help of the Holy Spirit, you can change that in your life. Prayer: Bringing peace to the afflicted heart!

How is your heart? There are some days when all we think about are problems and worries about the future. Consequently we feel a bad feeling in our hearts, a weight, a restlessness that we don’t even know how to solve. Prayer: Throwing out anxiety

Do you usually feel anxious? Well, I sometimes feel that way, I don’t have clinical anxiety, but not always a person “is” anxious, sometimes they find themselves in this condition in front of important decisions or something that is waiting for a certain time to happen. Last night I was a little anxious what impacted my sleep. I couldn’t sleep properly, I woke up countless times, had nightmares and finally it was as if I hadn’t slept. I wasn’t worried, but I knew that the next day great events were coming. The Bible teaches us that we should not look forward to the day of tomorrow, this is because it belongs to God, but we as failed human beings do not always remember this, so today I invite you to pray throwing away all anxiety. A blessed year is a year with the knee on the ground

To have a blessed year we need to keep our knees on the ground, that is, we need to pray. Prayer is the main way to develop intimacy with God and the prayer of the just is powerful, so it is one of the main weapons of everyone who believes in the Most High. Prayer: See the opportunities of God

Sometimes I find myself wondering if we don’t miss many opportunities for such banal reasons as time, mood, shame and so many others. I don’t speak only of those opportunities that are very clear, but also of those that seem more like a common everyday event. Examples of this are moments between children and parents that are lost because they are “too busy”, when a friend comes to tell us about a delicate situation that is going on, and we simply speak a generic phrase instead of being willing to pray, or when we have the great opportunity to speak of God’s love for someone and out of shame we stop doing it. Finally, in 2021, we cannot let opportunities pass us by, whether big or small, and today I invite you to pray that God will open our eyes before them. Prayer: Renew your hope!

We are already on December 23rd and as we have already said, this has been an intense year, very different from what we could imagine and what we would like to experience. But now it is time to look at what is to come, to remember God’s faithfulness this year to us, and to renew our hopes. We must do this having the confidence that God will not abandon us, he is with us even in the midst of the storm. The year is ending but it is still a time of hope, every day is a day to keep hope. Our Lord will not act only in 9 days when the year “turns”, no, he for sure has already done great things throughout this year, is doing, and will continue to do. So, today my prayer is for us to keep hope and have hope in the one who has the power to change everything. Prayer: Bringing to mind what God has done!

How many times have we forgotten what our Father did and has done in our lives? We live daily miracles that are beaten or simply seen as chance. The point is that 2020, with all its problems, was also a year of provision, family reunion, healing and faith. That’s why in today’s prayer I want to remember the good things that happened to us, because no matter how difficult the moment may be, there is still something for which we can be grateful. Father, fulfill your plans in my life!

How many times have you prayed asking for the concretion of a plan or a dream? I can say that I have prayed this prayer a few times and I have not always received what I wanted in the time I was waiting. Many people are discouraged by this, but they forget that there are some reasons for these wishes not to come true. The most obvious is that these plans and dreams might not be good for us and our God as Father does not grant them because he knows the evil they would bring. Another, and that many times still is not the right time, so the Lord needs to work in us so that they can be realized in a perfect way. Prayer: Discouragement? Never!

How many times we feel discouraged, with a feeling that we can’t describe, we just feel and want to get rid of this “weirdness”. Anyway, I believe that everybody sometimes feels this way. With this, we end up not having the will to do what we need, we stop in time, we become stagnant. This discouragement can be momentary or not, sometimes situations end up causing it, a discussion, news we didn’t expect and so many other things. Prayer: Shame, never more!

Whoever is more shy knows how difficult and challenging it can be to talk to people for anything, to talk to many people then… Shame can get in the way of our lives in many ways, whether at work, college or even at church. With this, even our ministries and calls from God to our lives can be impacted. The fact that we have shame also hinders the fulfillment of a great commandment for us Christians, which is found in the text of Matthew 28:19;20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Do you thank or murmur?

These days I was thinking that we seldom sadden or identify murmuring as a sin, we forget that murmuring is ungrateful and we usually do it without realizing it. Murmuring is the same as slandering, mumbling, speaking in a low voice, speaking ill of someone or something. So I ask how many times did you mumble today? We complain about so many things that we don’t even notice, because the more we complain, the more we will complain, but also the more we thank, the more we will be grateful. In 1 Thessalonians it is written that we should always be grateful, because that is what God wants from those who are united to Christ. We may not realize it, but murmuring takes us away from God, because when we murmur we cannot see everything he has done in our lives. Our Lord is faithful to us and does not rejoice in ingratitude, being grateful is an act of worship and that shows confidence in God. Praying for the waiting time

I’ve been thinking a lot about the waiting time in our lives, have you ever stopped to think that we all expect something? A job, a relationship, a child, the purchase of a property and so many other things … we all wait for something, be it an answer, a solution or a miracle. What I have realized is that we often do not understand why we are waiting and we forget its importance, because it is during the waiting that we are prepared and shaped according to the will of God so that His plans are fulfilled. Prayer: God, restore my family!

Family was created by God and should be a place of safety and protection. But because of the sin that exists in the world many families live in a real war footing, where the parents do not respect each other, the children do not respect their parents and everyone lives in total disunity. Fear is a natural feeling, which can even be positive in some situations, serving as an alert, but often causes us harm, despair, paralysis and leads to wrong decisions. All of this is not good, but I have some good news to give you today … and it is, with God’s help, you can win! Have you ever been in a situation where you didn’t know what was the best decision to make? Most likely, yes. I’ve been in this condition a few times and I know how difficult it can be, because we don’t want to make mistakes or make decisions that may not be the best in the future and it’s not always clear what we should do. Fortunately, our God and Creator knows all the ways, knows what is best for us and is willing to give wisdom to anyone who asks. The rush can hinder our lives a lot, because when we are affected by it we fail to give due attention to what we need.
