Praying for the waiting time
I’ve been thinking a lot about the waiting time in our lives, have you ever stopped to think that we all expect something? A job, a relationship, a child, the purchase of a property and so many other things … we all wait for something, be it an answer, a solution or a miracle.
What I have realized is that we often do not understand why we are waiting and we forget its importance, because it is during the waiting that we are prepared and shaped according to the will of God so that His plans are fulfilled.
Thinking about it, today we will pray for the waiting time. I also want to leave here 3 verses about waiting:
Hope in the Lord and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it.
Psalm 37:34
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
Isaiah 30:18
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31
Remembering that you do not need to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, as each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak your way.
Prayer
Dear God, today I want to thank you for the waiting time, because I know that it is necessary in my life, so I thank you for all the learning, because I know that even if I am failing and thinking that the Lord is not really listening to me You always listen to me, but you know the right time for your plans to come true in my life.
Today I also pray that my dreams, plans and goals will correspond to what You want for me and that they will serve to glorify Your holy name. May my heart’s greatest desire be to please and honor You Lord in all areas of my life, so that my testimony can attract more people to You.
Father, help me to be patient and faithful while waiting, just like David who waited a long time after being anointed to finally become King, he had patience and acted like a true servant of the Lord, I also want to have that same conduct and so I ask for your help, because I know I’m failing.
I know I still have a lot to improve and I have tried to be better every day, so I ask you to work on my heart in this waiting period, so that when my victory and blessing comes, I can be prepared. Today I recognize that waiting time is not a bad thing, but it is part of the process and it is there that the Lord works in my life so that his glory is manifested.
Once again I thank you for everything you have done in my life and for everything you will do. I love you my God. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray and ask that my words come as a sweet perfume to the Lord!
