Praying for the month of October!
We reached another month of the year 2020, a year in which the world has faced many challenges both in health, as in the economy and education. Many events in a year. We need to be steadfast, strong in the unwavering rock because this phase lived due to the Covid-19 pandemic will come to an end and I want to pray with you for this month, you may be waiting for an answer, needing a solution in some area of your life, or even if you just want to say thank you, today I invite you to pray and put everything on God’s altar.
Remembering that you do not need to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, as each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak your way.
Prayer
Dear God, first of all, I want to thank you for the month of October for everything you have done so far and for everything you are still going to do, thank you for taking care of me and my family even when I do not realize, for all the care that the Lord had me this year. Even in the tribulation, you took care of me and I am very grateful to you for that.
Father, I have waited on You for some answers and once again I ask for them, I also pray that you will come up with solutions in all areas of my life, family, financial, sentimental, educational … come with your solution. I pray that October will be a month of solutions and answers, and also that my relationship with the Lord will become even more intimate each day.
May the month of October be filled with your grace, the joy, and the peace that comes from you, and may my decisions be wise and please the Lord. I pray for a different month than the rest of this year. If there is something in me that needs to be transformed, if there is something hidden in my heart, I ask you to deal with it right now.
I also pray that my country and the world can recover from all the damage caused by the pandemic, provide comfort for those who have lost relatives and friends, and provision for those who have lost their jobs and source of income. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray and ask that my words come as a gentle perfume to the Lord!
Prayer of a mere servant of God
Lord, remember David and all his self-denial. He swore an oath to the Lord, he made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob: “I will not enter my house or go to my bed, I will allow no sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, till I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
We heard it in Ephrathah, we came upon it in the fields of Jaar: “Let us go to his dwelling place, let us worship at his footstool, saying, ‘Arise, Lord, and come to your resting place, you and the ark of your might. May your priests be clothed with your righteousness; may your faithful people sing for joy.’”
For the sake of your servant David, do not reject your anointed one. The Lord swore an oath to David, a sure oath he will not revoke: “One of your own descendants I will place on your throne. If your sons keep my covenant and the statutes I teach them, then their sons will sit on your throne for ever and ever.”
For the Lord has chosen Zion, he has desired it for his dwelling, saying, “This is my resting place for ever and ever; here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it. I will bless her with abundant provisions; her poor I will satisfy with food. I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her faithful people will ever sing for joy.
“Here I will make a horn grow for David and set up a lamp for my anointed one. I will clothe his enemies with shame, but his head will be adorned with a radiant crown.”
Psalm 132
