Prayer: Father, help me to deal with nervous people!

Prayer: Father, help me to deal with nervous people!

Dealing with nervous people is not easy, maybe you are one of them yourself. However, the word of God teaches us how to deal with different kinds of people as we can see through the teachings left by our master Jesus Christ. Still, there are situations in which besides reading the Bible, we need discernment to put into practice what we read. And today we will pray asking the Father to help us to deal with nervous people, giving us the right strategies and working on us to see where we can improve as well. I leave here some passages especially for you today: A calm answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1 Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult, but rather bless; for to this you have been called, that you may inherit blessing. 1 Peter 3:9 Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way. Prayer […]

Prayer: Overcoming your insecurities!

Prayer: Overcoming your insecurities!

As human beings we sometimes have complexes, insecurities that come in and make us feel too small, but as we saw in the last text, we don’t need to live feeling inferior or having self-pity, because we are children of God and all equal before Him. As it is written in 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of fortitude, and of love, and of moderation. With this in mind, today I want to pray with you, that you will overcome your complexes. Your God is bigger than any feeling of inferiority or self-pity. I also suggest reading the last text if you haven’t read it yet (click here). I also leave here some passages for you who have been feeling this way: For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of fortitude, and of love, and of moderation. 2 Timothy 1:7 Why are you downcast, O my soul, and why are you troubled within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, who is the salvation of my face, and my God. Psalms 42:11 As He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that […]

Prayer: Getting rid of childhood fears

Prayer: Getting rid of childhood fears

The other day I wrote here about fears that we develop as children and sometimes accompany us into adulthood, be it the night, abandonment, need, sickness… Anyway, you are not guilty or to blame for this fear, but it is certainly horrible to live in fear and we have been called to freedom in Christ Jesus. So today I want to pray with you, asking for deliverance from these fears that you have been carrying around since you were little. Here are some passages especially for you today: I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 Remember that you don’t have to repeat […]

Prayer: Adoration and Gratitude!

Prayer: Adoration and Gratitude!

Today I want to join you in a prayer of adoration and gratitude, to bring to mind all that our good God has already done for us. After all, we should not pray as if we were making a “checklist” of requests. It is good to stop and give thanks for what God has already done or is still doing, and to worship Him for His infinite grace and goodness. Worship, like the act of giving thanks for what God is already doing in our lives, creates peace, calms anxiety, as we remember the goodness of the One who first loved us. So I invite you to take this time to reflect a little. I leave here some passages especially for you today: 1 It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High,2 proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, Psalms 92:1-2 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, Hebrews 12:28 Remembering that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m […]

Prayer: For a Generous Heart!

Generosity is a powerful tool of connection as we wrote these days around here, which is essential for all areas of our lives, whether in the church, at work, or in our homes. It has the power to transform environments, people’s day. Our God is generous with us many times, although we don’t always realize it, He is so generous that He gave us His only son so that we could have eternal and abundant life. And thinking about this I want to pray with you that we can be more and more generous, have a generous heart. I leave here a passage especially for you today: As a result of your service, (1) they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers (2) will show that you are obedient to the good news of Christ. And (3) they will pray for you with deep affection, because of the overflowing grace God has bestowed on you. 2 Corinthians 9:13-14 Remembering that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you […]

Prayer: Crying out for God’s help!

What is the help or care from God that you need? We live in a world of 7.874 billion people and each one is going through a different struggle, has a different need, which God knows well and is there to care for and teach. Even with so many people in the world, our Lord still knows the innermost of each one, for He is God, powerful, omnipotent and omniscient. Have you ever thought about how wonderful this is? Well, even with all His majesty, He still has patience for you and me, He cares for each of His children. That is why he hears your and mine cries, in the desert times he is by our side and thinking about this today I want to pray with you. Let’s pray together for God’s help, in whatever area you need it. I leave here a passage especially for you today: The Lord watches over the life of the upright, and their inheritance will remain forever. In times of trouble they will not be disappointed; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty. Psalms 37:18-19 Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m going to leave it […]

Prayer: Gathering treasures in heaven!
·Nicole Leao

Prayer: Gathering treasures in heaven!

The other day we wrote here about store up treasures in heaven, we saw that despite the importance of our work and projects, we must also keep in mind where our real good is, that is, in our eternal home. This reminds us that the riches of this world are temporary and as much as we should plan and save, we cannot see our neighbor in need and fail to act. More than having a fat reserve, diversified investments that provide us with a secure future here on earth, when we are generous and invest in people, in the church, in the Kingdom of God, we are accumulating a secure treasure in heaven. So today I want to pray with you to rebuke greed, remembering that your trust is not in earthly possessions, but in God, even if overnight everything is lost, he will still take care of you, because you are His child. I leave here a passage especially for you today: Sell your possessions and give to the needy. By this you will store up treasures in heaven, and the purses in heaven will not wear out or crumble. Your treasure will be secure; no thief will steal […]

Prayer: Impacting lives!

We are the salt of the earth, and we can’t lose the flavor, we can’t forget what our mission is, and we need to fight for it. I want to remind you that to impact lives we don’t need to be just in a prominent position, we can do it where we are with the surrounding people. In fact, we must start within our own families, after all, if we don’t make a positive impact at home, how are we going to do it out in the world? I leave here a passage especially for you today: You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its flavor, how can it be restored? It will be good for nothing, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. “You are the light of the world. You cannot hide a city built on a hill. Also, no one lights a lamp and puts it under a vessel. Rather, he puts it in its proper place, and so it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. […]

Prayer: Trusting in the unshakable rock!

Our Father is the unshakable rock and as it is written in Psalm 125, those who trust in the Lord are like the mountain of Zion that is not shaken. We will have afflictions in this world, but as we well know our savior has already overcome them all. Know that even if the struggle is difficult, our God is a righteous judge and has the power to change any story. With this in mind, today I want to pray with you who are going through a struggle, making a prayer of adoration and surrender. I leave here some passages especially for you today: ‘For it is I who know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world. John 16:33 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken, but which stands forever. Psalm 125:1 Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer […]

Prayer: Our treasure is in heaven

These days I wrote a text about the importance of remembering that those who have been renewed in Christ do not belong on earth, but in heaven, with our Father, where we will praise him at all times. When we know this we change our way of living, because we know that our treasure is in our eternal home. Then we start to live for the honor and glory of God, no longer for ourselves or to accumulate worldly treasures, but to serve others with the certainty that one day there will be no more sadness, hunger or pain. With this in mind, today I want to pray with you that our goals and dreams will be in the right place. I leave here a passage especially for you today: Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; John 11:25 Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. Prayer: Living in God’s time!

Prayer: Living in God’s time!

This week I wrote a text about how we should not live our lives in a hurry, much less comparing ourselves to others, because each person has a time and more important than that, there is a right time for everything and God knows what it is. After all, life is a big puzzle, in which we do not know which is the final figure to be formed, but our good Father does. That is why we must trust Him, we have no way of knowing what will happen in the future, because it belongs to God, so the best we can do is to entrust it to the Lord. So, with this in mind, today I want to pray with you to deliver our goals into God’s hands and live in His time. I leave here a passage especially for you today: There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep […]

Prayer: Prepare for battle!
·Nicole Leao

Prayer: Prepare for battle!

In the last text I wrote about the importance of putting on the armor of God to prepare us for battle, whether it occurs within ourselves, when it is against our flesh, or when the enemy uses someone to get at us. We pray asking and giving thanks for so many things and sometimes we forget to put on the only armor that not only protects our physical, but also our mind and heart. Remember, your mind is meant to be a place of peace, as well as your heart, and if it hasn’t been, maybe it’s time to do a self-evaluation and understand why this has been happening. You are a child of God and called to live a life of abundance, so let’s pray together against the snares of the enemy, against the lies he tells us, for self-control and wisdom. I leave here a passage especially for you today: 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the […]

Prayer: Letting go of fear!

Today I had to take a test that I do every year because I have had diabetes since I was 11 years old, called the glycemic curve. It is a lengthy exam that takes about 3 hours to complete, so I spent a long time in the laboratory to collect all the necessary blood tests. In the meantime three people passed by that caught my attention. The first was a young man about my age who was scared to death of needles and as I am very communicative I started to talk to him to divert his focus, who soon calmed down and finished the exam. The second was a little 10 year old girl, who came into the room crying because she was afraid of the exam, her mother told her repeatedly not to look, but she was so afraid that she needed to see what they were doing in her arm, I started talking to her again, telling her a little about my experience with this uncomfortable exam and even though she was crying she stopped paying attention to the needle and stayed with our conversation, managing to let the nurse take the blood. The third was an […]

Prayer: We can always improve!

Even those who are meek and righteous need to constantly evaluate themselves. We cannot settle for the progress we make in the spiritual life. Even if you consider yourself more meek or righteous than others, the Lord still warns us to examine our hearts, not least because we are all sinners and should seek to grow further according to God’s standards and not our own. So today we will pray for transformation and change of behavior. I leave here a passage especially for you today: Let no one be deceived: if anyone among you considers himself wise according to the standards of this time of ours, then it is better to become foolish in order to attain wisdom. 1 Corinthians 3:18 Remembering that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way. Prayer: Destroying False Fortresses

Throughout life we can build walls around us believing that they are there to protect us, but in fact they are only keeping us from everything and everyone. Even many times they are just lies invented by us or thrown up by the enemy to keep us from living the supernatural things God has set aside for us. So today I want to pray with you to destroy these strongholds, freeing yourself to live a new time in your life. I leave here a passage especially for you today: Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the Kingdom and healing all sickness and disease among the people. News about him spread throughout Syria, and the people brought to him all who were suffering from various ailments and torments: demon-possessed, madmen, and paralytics; and he healed them. Matthew 4:23-24 Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure; feel free to speak it in your own way. Prayer Beloved God, […]

Prayer: Saying Goodbye to Jealousy!

Today I want to pray with you about an issue that I see afflicting many people and that can cause so many disagreements: jealousy. This is a difficult feeling to deal with, which takes people off their axis and can even become an obsession. Jealousy is not only related to the love relationship of a couple, so it can affect any relationship and cause damage that is difficult to repair. I leave here a passage especially for you today: Incline my heart to your statutes, and not to greed. Turn away my eyes from worthless things; make me live in the paths You have marked out. Psalm 119:36-37 Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way. Prayer: For the sick

These days passing in front of a hospital I got shivers when I thought how many people were there fighting against an illness or worried about a relative in a bed and today I wanted to pray for the sick of the nations. The last few years have not been easy for many with the worldwide crisis caused by the coronavirus, but I have faith that everything will get better. So today I invite you to pray for those who are sick, either in hospital beds or in their own homes. I leave here a passage especially for you today: Prayer made with faith will heal the sick; the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. James 5:15 Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. Prayer: a well-resolved parenthood

When we are born, God who is our true Father, grants our parents here on earth the blessing and grace to care for that human being who still has so much to learn. However, these parents do not always fulfill the role given to them in the best way, for they are human beings and are bound to fail. There are parents who do their best to take care of their children and others who choose not to play this very important role. I don’t know what your reality is or how your parents were to you, but today I want to tell you that your True Father will never abandon you. He loved you even before you were in your mother’s womb, He raised you and knows you better than anyone else, He listened to all your nights of crying and will stand by you no matter what. I know that it is not easy to have an absent father, I also know the marks that this leaves and the time that these wounds take to heal, but this does not define who you are, because your true identity is in the Father who will never leave you. Today […]

Prayer: No more injustice!

Unfair situations can happen to us, and when we are hit by them, we usually feel weak and powerless. We may even feel anger and many other unpleasant feelings, which do us no good at all. But I would like to tell you that our Father is a just Judge, and although man’s justice is flawed, His is not. And today we will pray that the righteousness of God will reign over our lives and that His kingdom will be exalted, recognized and glorified. Before that, I leave here a passage especially for you today: Whoever sows injustice reaps calamity, and the rod they wield in fury will be broken. Proverbs 22:8 Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way. Prayer Beloved God, I thank you for being my savior, for being a just God who always watches over me. I thank you because you do everything perfectly. Today I want to pray that there will […]

The power of intercession

The power of intercession

As you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many. 2 Corinthians 1:1-11 We are living a moment in which intercession is so necessary, with a health crisis that directly affects the economy, causing besides deaths, unemployment, and so many evils to society. It is at this moment that we think there is nothing more to be done, we see no way out, and the only desire we have is to disappear until everything is over. However, we have what to do, we are children of God, called to freedom and to be light in a world of darkness. Now you may be asking yourself: “but what is within my power?”, and I answer you that you have a powerful weapon against all that is attacking the world, prayer, and more than that, prayer with the intentionality to intercede. So often our prayers can be shallow and selfish, focused only on ourselves, sometimes not even seeking what God wants for us, but almost begging for our own will to be done instead of the will of the Most High. But it is […]

Prayer: Remembering the sacrifice on the cross

We are approaching Easter, such an important date for us Christians, where our Savior died for us on the cross, freeing us from the bonds of sin. And today I want to pray that we will never forget what our savior did for us, giving his life so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. I also leave here a passage especially for you today: 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I will leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak in your own way. Prayer Dear God, I thank you for giving up your only Son to die for me on the Cross. Prayer: May the wall fall!

Today I want to pray with you for the falling of the walls in our lives. Sometimes we may feel that we can’t go any further, that something is holding us back and this can discourage us. However, this is the time to gather our strength and keep going until the walls that are keeping us from going further fall down, and we can enjoy the peace and fullness of what our God has for us. We need to be prepared for the battles in fasting and prayer. So today I invite you to pray for the walls to fall to the ground. I also leave here a passage especially for you today: He will bring down your high fortified walls and lay them low;he will bring them down to the ground, to the very dust. Isaiah 25:12 Prayer Dear God, thank you for your protection, your love, and for being with me in the battle. Thank you for all that you have done for me, for the opportunities that I have had and for those that are to come. Today I pray to You, for I feel that there are walls in my way. Prayer: Saying goodbye to insomnia

These days I can’t sleep, and I was thinking about how many times we have insomnia and say we don’t understand why, and sometimes we just don’t want to admit that we are worried about a specific issue or that we need to solve something with someone. But we can’t always do what we need to do at that exact moment, or we don’t even know how to solve such a situation, so we need to give it into the Lord’s hands and let Him guide us to rest and then calmly know how to act on a certain matter. With this in mind, today I want to pray with you that we can together say goodbye to insomnia. I leave here a passage especially for you today: In peace I lie down and soon I fall asleep, for only you, Lord, make me live in safety. Psalms 4:8 Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. Prayer: No more tears!

Crying can sometimes be good, but we know that it isn’t always… so many times we have a lump in our throat that doesn’t seem to go away, the world gets a little gray and everything seems worse than it really is. But lately I’ve learned something that has helped me a lot, and I believe it can help you too: when the world seems bad, be thankful for the good things. Once, when I was very young, my father taught me to look out the window. That is, to look out the window and see what was beautiful through it. Our eyes are sometimes so used to looking at everything in a negative way that we simply forget to look for what is good and brings peace. So I want to pray together with you for joy and that our window of the soul, the eyes, will be clean to look for what is good. I leave here a passage especially for you today: For your anger lasts only a moment; in your favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalms 30:5 Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer […]
