Prayer: Our treasure is in heaven

These days I wrote a text about the importance of remembering that those who have been renewed in Christ do not belong on earth, but in heaven, with our Father, where we will praise him at all times. When we know this we change our way of living, because we know that our treasure is in our eternal home.

Then we start to live for the honor and glory of God, no longer for ourselves or to accumulate worldly treasures, but to serve others with the certainty that one day there will be no more sadness, hunger or pain. With this in mind, today I want to pray with you that our goals and dreams will be in the right place. I leave here a passage especially for you today:

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;

John 11:25

Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.

Prayer

Beloved God, thank you for giving your only son to die for me. Thank you for your care and love, thank you because you forgive my sins and accept me as your son. Thank You that even those who die in You will live. Your love is so perfect that even though I am the worst sinner, I still find forgiveness in You and I thank You for that.

I know that my home is not here, but with You. Sometimes it is hard to imagine what heaven will be like, but I know it will be wonderful, because You, my God, made it. I pray that I live with the certainty that my place will be with You, forgive me for my sins, search my heart to live a just and righteous life in Your eyes, to one day live in the eternal home.

I pray that during my time on earth I can make wise decisions, be a light wherever I go, and take more of your love to people. May I be a tool in your hands and may many other lives be reached! May my dreams be Your dreams for me!

My God, Yours is the power, the glory, and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks, and ask that my words may reach the Lord like a sweet perfume!

Prayer of a mere servant of God

God bless you!

Prayer: Purify and restore

Prayer: Purify and restore

Father, today I stand before You, acknowledging my need for the presence of Your Holy Spirit. There are areas of my life that often resemble dry, weary, and barren land. There are times when my faith weakens, my heart becomes heavy, and my soul thirsts for the water that only You can offer. Therefore, I ask You: pour out Your showers of blessing upon me. May Your Spirit renew what is worn out, restore what is broken, and bring life where there is dryness. Just as You promised to pour water upon the thirsty land, I acknowledge my dependence on You. I do not want to seek satisfaction in the fleeting things of this world, but in the inexhaustible source of Your presence. Fill my heart with Your peace, strengthen my faith, and help me remain close to You at all times. May Your Spirit flow through my life like rivers of living water, bringing hope, direction, and renewal to every area that needs Your touch. Holy Spirit, fall upon me like a flood. Invade the places in my heart that I have not yet fully surrendered to the Lord. Wash away my worries, my fears, my insecurities, and everything […]

Prayer: Guarding my steps

Prayer: Guarding my steps

Father, I know that many times I make decisions based only on what my eyes can see. Just as Lot saw a land that was beautiful, fertile, and full of possibilities, I am also tempted to choose paths based on appearance, comfort, and immediate opportunities. Forgive me for the times when I considered only the visible benefits and failed to seek Your direction. Give me a sensitive heart to discern not only what seems good, but what is truly part of Your will for my life. Help me understand that the environments I choose to remain in deeply influence who I become. Guard my heart from influences that pull me away from Your presence, and strengthen my faith to remain in places that promote spiritual growth, even when they do not seem the most attractive in human eyes. May I never exchange Your peace for temporary advantages, nor Your presence for empty promises that do not come from You. Father, give me wisdom to recognize the moments when I need to leave behind certain seasons, relationships, habits, or environments. Many times I cling to what I already know out of fear of change or uncertainty. But I know that when […]
