Prayer: Impacting lives!
We are the salt of the earth, and we can’t lose the flavor, we can’t forget what our mission is, and we need to fight for it. I want to remind you that to impact lives we don’t need to be just in a prominent position, we can do it where we are with the surrounding people. In fact, we must start within our own families, after all, if we don’t make a positive impact at home, how are we going to do it out in the world?
I leave here a passage especially for you today:
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its flavor, how can it be restored? It will be good for nothing, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. “You are the light of the world. You cannot hide a city built on a hill. Also, no one lights a lamp and puts it under a vessel. Rather, he puts it in its proper place, and so it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I will leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.
Prayer
Beloved God, first of all I would like to thank You for giving Your only Son to die for me and for having free access to You today. I thank You for the missions You have assigned to me, for the people You have placed in my life who have taught me and whom I have been able to teach or make some positive impact on, I ask that I may see every situation where I can spread more of Your love.
I ask today for wisdom and discernment to impact the lives of those around me and all those who cross my path. I want to be a useful tool for You, and I am willing to run after Your mission for my life. Forgive me, dear God, for the times that I have failed in this mission by putting my wants and needs ahead of Your desire.
I pray that the first place where I will make an impact for Your glory is my family, by being willing to love, care, and protect. I pray that I will be like salt and light, that I will not lose flavor, nor my light go out. May I be strengthened each day in your word and your presence be my favorite place, remove from me everything that hinders my walk beside you.
Thank you for listening to me and I ask forgiveness for my mistakes, words, attitudes and thoughts that displeased You. My God, Yours is the power, the glory, and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words may reach You like a sweet perfume!
