Do you thank or murmur?
·Nicole Leão

Do you thank or murmur?

These days I was thinking that we seldom sadden or identify murmuring as a sin, we forget that murmuring is ungrateful and we usually do it without realizing it. Murmuring is the same as slandering, mumbling, speaking in a low voice, speaking ill of someone or something. So I ask how many times did you mumble today? We complain about so many things that we don’t even notice, because the more we complain, the more we will complain, but also the more we thank, the more we will be grateful. In 1 Thessalonians it is written that we should always be grateful, because that is what God wants from those who are united to Christ. We may not realize it, but murmuring takes us away from God, because when we murmur we cannot see everything he has done in our lives. Our Lord is faithful to us and does not rejoice in ingratitude, being grateful is an act of worship and that shows confidence in God. Thinking about it, today we will pray thanking our Lord for everything he did and asking for help and forgiveness for the murmurings. I also want to leave here 3 lines about waiting: Give […]

Praying for the waiting time

Praying for the waiting time

I’ve been thinking a lot about the waiting time in our lives, have you ever stopped to think that we all expect something? A job, a relationship, a child, the purchase of a property and so many other things … we all wait for something, be it an answer, a solution or a miracle. What I have realized is that we often do not understand why we are waiting and we forget its importance, because it is during the waiting that we are prepared and shaped according to the will of God so that His plans are fulfilled. Thinking about it, today we will pray for the waiting time. I also want to leave here 3 verses about waiting: Hope in the Lord and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it. Psalm 37:34 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! Isaiah 30:18 But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will […]

Prayer: God, restore my family!
·Nicole Leão

Prayer: God, restore my family!

Family was created by God and should be a place of safety and protection. But because of the sin that exists in the world many families live in a real war footing, where the parents do not respect each other, the children do not respect their parents and everyone lives in total disunity. This certainly does not please our Heavenly Father and today I want you to say the following prayer: God, restore my family! Before, I leave here three passages of the Bible on family: That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. Genesis 2:24 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. Ephesians 5:33 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” – which is the first commandment with a promise – “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6: 1-4 Prayer Dear God, […]

Prayer: Fear, never again!

Prayer: Fear, never again!

Fear is a natural feeling, which can even be positive in some situations, serving as an alert, but often causes us harm, despair, paralysis and leads to wrong decisions. All of this is not good, but I have some good news to give you today … and it is, with God’s help, you can win! In Psalm 34: 4 it is written: “I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears”. We cannot let ourselves be dominated by fear, so today I invite you to pray, throw away all the fear that paralyzed you, remember that God is greater than everything that afflicts you so much and He will take care of you. Here are some verses to help you: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Hebrews 13:6 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for […]

Prayer: Making wise decisions!
·Nicole Leão

Prayer: Making wise decisions!

Have you ever been in a situation where you didn’t know what was the best decision to make? Most likely, yes. I’ve been in this condition a few times and I know how difficult it can be, because we don’t want to make mistakes or make decisions that may not be the best in the future and it’s not always clear what we should do. Fortunately, our God and Creator knows all the ways, knows what is best for us and is willing to give wisdom to anyone who asks. So today we are going to pray for the guidance of our Lord, but first I would like to remind you that the right decision is one that will glorify the Father. Here are three verses that can help you: So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1: 5 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21 Prayer Beloved God, […]

Prayer: It’s time to slow down!

Prayer: It’s time to slow down!

Have you ever stopped to think how much hurry gets in the way of your day to day, fellowship and relationship with God? The rush can hinder our lives a lot, because when we are affected by it we fail to give due attention to what we need. These days I came across the following phrase: “If the devil does not make you sin, he will occupy you”. I know it may seem like extremism, but think with me, when we are busy we do not have time for God, nor to exercise love for those around us. Because when we are in a hurry we get easily irritated, we want to solve everything running and certainly not how Jesus Christ acted with his followers and disciples. In fact, He did the opposite, dedicated himself to each one in a sublime way. So today, I invite you to pray with me, because it’s time for you to slow down! Remembering that you do not need to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, as each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will […]

Praying for the joy that comes from God!

Praying for the joy that comes from God!

So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. John 16:22 In Monday’s blog this week, we talked about the difference between happiness and joy, we saw that happiness is an emotion, unlike the joy that according to the Bible fills the spiritual void through an intimate relationship with our God. Therefore, happiness is a feeling of joy that depends on something good to happen, but our Lord wants us to be happy regardless of the circumstances. Despite this, God knows that we will not be happy all the time, in fact there are times when we will be sad and everything is fine, but we cannot help but hope that better days will come. So, today I invite you to pray for a heart that overflows with the joy that comes from God! Remembering that you do not need to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, as each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak […]

Give me patience!

Patience is a fruit of the Spirit, which must be produced by every Christian. We live in a time of immediacy, many want everything for yesterday, always in a hurry, making wrong decisions, and acting hastily. But we must not act like this, as followers of Jesus and new creatures we must reflect in our lives the patience generated by the Holy Spirit. So I invite you to pray and ask God: Give me patience! Remembering that you don’t need to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here because each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak your way. Prayer Dear God, first I would like to thank you for being so patient with me and for loving me even though I am a sinner. Sir, I know I am a failure, I often stress about small things or I want to do everything in my own time, so today I ask you: Give me patience! May I be patient with people in my daily life, whether they are my family, friends, or even strangers. […]

5 teachings of Jesus Christ on prayer

5 teachings of Jesus Christ on prayer

Prayer is fundamental to our intimacy and relationship with God, but it is not difficult to hear someone say that they are ashamed to pray in public or that they do not know how to pray, perhaps you will try it yourself. Fortunately, we find passages in the Bible where our Master instructs us on how to pray. So, check out 5 teachings of Jesus Christ on prayer! 1. Reserve a place and time to pray And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:5-6 It is very important that we have a time of intimacy with our Father, where in secret we try to hear His voice. In addition to creating a place not to appear or “make it beautiful” just for the satisfaction of our own ego, when we enter our room or […]

Wearing the armor of God

Wearing the armor of God

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the celestial kingdoms. Ephesians 6:12 (NIV) As soldiers of God, we need to be ready for battle every day and that is why it is very important to put on spiritual armor, because as it is written in Ephesians 6:12 our struggle is not against the flesh, but against principalities and powers , then our spirit must be strengthened. I invite you to pray with me and to wear the protection that comes from our Lord! Remembering that you do not need to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, as each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak your way. Beloved God, I ask you for spiritual protection, for me and my family so that we can stand firm against the enemy’s traps.I pray that you put on all your armor: the belt of truth, the breastplate of justice, shoes with the readiness […]

Praying for physical and emotional healing

Praying for physical and emotional healing

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16: 17-18 (KJV) God has the power to heal, whether it be your physical or mental pain, and just as the Lord can heal you, he can use you to bless and intercede for others. Of course, we do not like to feel pain and we do not want those we love to go through afflictions, but many diseases come to us so that the glory of God may be manifested. So I invite you to pray with me for healing. Remembering that you do not need to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak your way. Dear God, I want to thank You for Your grace and fidelity, I know that I am […]

God, teach me to take care of my finances!

In recent times many people have lost their jobs and the world is going through a major financial crisis with the coronavirus. I know this is not an easy time, but I also know that our Lord is faithful to the righteous. God is so good to us, that he even left precious teachings in the Bible about the care we should take with our finances, a passage that I really like is Luke 14:28, where it is written: “Which one of you, if you want to build a tower, do not sit down first and calculate the price, to see if you have enough money to complete it? ”. Planning is very important and I know that in times of unemployment or financial hardship it can be a challenge, so I would like to invite you to pray with me for your personal finances and the homes of our nation. Remembering that you don’t need to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak your way. […]

God, break my heart!
·Nicole Leão

God, break my heart!

Having a broken heart is fundamental and it means recognizing our own limitations so that God can work in us. In 2 Corinthians 12: 9 it is written: “And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, because my power is perfected in weakness. Therefore, I will be happy to glory in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me ”. It is through brokenness that our lives are transformed and we are shaped according to God’s plans. Praying for a broken heart may not be such an easy task, but the Lord is with us to go through everything we need, as it is written in Psalm 34:18, that God is close to those with a broken heart, so I invite you to do this prayer of surrender with me. Remembering that you do not need to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, as each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak your way. Beloved Father, I want to be closer to You, to Your infinite love […]

Teach me to depend on You, Lord

Teach me to depend on You, Lord

We need to learn to depend on God, on His amazing grace. It is this grace that enables us to go through the most difficult situations in life without losing sleep, faith and hope. So I would like to say a prayer on this topic. Say this powerful prayer with me! Lord, teach me to depend on You, only You. In so many situations I place my dependence on people, resources, my work or my own understanding of life. May I remember Your sovereignty every day. That You are the One who has all knowledge, understanding and power over any circumstance. In this prayer, I want to exalt You and recognize that You Lord is greater than everything. Bigger than any health crisis, bigger than any financial crisis, bigger than the economy, bigger than any illness. There is no one like You. There is no one greater than You. May I always remember all the great things that the Lord has done, the greatest miracle that was the life we received through Jesus and all the miracles that the Lord has already done in my life and in my family. So many times I depend on things that are fleeting, […]

It was never about a feeling!

It was never about a feeling!

Have we based our relationship with God on feeling? Do we understand that we should not seek only the feeling? Today, I would like us to talk a little about this topic so much talked about in the Christian world. Have we sought the Lord’s presence just to feel Him? Shall we talk about? A rational search “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” Jeremiah 17: 9 I don’t know if you have been through this situation, but for a good part of my spiritual walk, I carried a heavy burden on my heart because I was deceiving myself. I thought that I would only be having a total surrender to the Lord and would only be living a sincere relationship with Him, if I felt His presence in all services and at all times. It hurt me for a long time and even demotivated me. I went to conferences, services, had my moments with God, but I didn’t feel His presence. Many times I was stressed with the Lord, I was angry and sad, because I did not understand why all this was happening. It didn’t make sense to me. I was looking, […]

What are your priorities?

What are your priorities?

Have we given due importance to the Word of God? Has the Lord been a priority in our lives? Or do we leave to have a moment with God only at the end of the day and prefer to do other things before? In today’s blog, we would like to bring this reflection! We know that God and His Word are extremely important, but have we given due attention? I think this reflection is valid for all of us! Come on? The day by day! “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6: 33 In our life, we have several things to do. We have dreams, plans and projects and we strive and dedicate ourselves to achieve them. However, we understand that if our dreams and plans are not in accordance with God’s will, we will never be able to please God, much less be truly happy. Happiness is exclusively tied to the will of God in our lives. We Christians know very well that deep, true and overflowing happiness cannot be found in the things of the world. Okay, but what does all this have to do […]

Thank You for everything!

So if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, but feel free to speak your way. “Jesus, thank you so much for the life the Lord has given me. I am grateful for all the undeserved things I have and received. With my own hands, I could never reach any of them, but by His grace, love and mercy, I can enjoy them. Thank you for my family, God. I apologize, because I often end up stressing them out and I don’t appreciate their presence and life. But I am extremely grateful for each one of them. I am also grateful for the friends You gave me. For all the dear companions that the Lord has placed beside me. And I ask You to show me if any of my friendships are […]

I can’t hear God’s voice

Have you also been troubled by not being able to hear the Lord’s voice? Have you ever wondered why you didn’t hear God speak? Are you going through this today? Today I would like to talk about one of the phrases that I spoke most in my life and that I hear many times! If you’ve ever felt that way, I imagine it’s an important text for you! Shall we talk about it? The noise is too loud! “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” Luke 5:16 The Bible shows us that, on several occasions, Jesus withdrew from the presence of others, went to a quiet place and prayed to His Father. But for what reason did He do this? In my view, Jesus withdrew for two reasons: to avoid noise and to be alone with the Lord. I would like to speak specifically about the noise. Noise that deafens us and disturbs us. What noise would that be? The vast majority of us have a busy schedule and a very busy life. We got involved in a lot of activities and ended up with a very full mind too. It is important to say that there is […]

I got dirty with the impurities of sin, polluted my mind and ignored Your Spirit, I am dirty and I have neither the strength to get up nor the water to wash myself. Therefore, I ask You, once again, to pour out Your water on me and extend Your mighty hand to me. Free me from myself, purify my heart, my mind and my soul from the things that I put in me. A sincere heart!

I would like to bring a brief and simple message, to analyze our hearts! Have we done things from the heart for the Lord? Did we fall into the routine and end up praying or reading the Bible out of obligation? Do we worship the Lord in spirit and in truth? Shall we talk about? Routine compliance It is true that we all have a routine and that, regardless of how busy the routine is, we need to have time for our spiritual life. Time for prayer, reading the Word and worship is sorely needed. However, we often fall into the routine and start doing things out of a simple obligation and do not think about the real reason we are doing that. Unfortunately, this often happens in our spiritual lives. We started to pray simply to pray, to fulfill the table. Read the Bible to fulfill the table. Is this right? With absolute certainty, it is not right at all! The Lord wants us to be whole, wants us to do things with our understanding. What does the Lord seek? “let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts […]
