God, teach me to take care of my finances!
In recent times many people have lost their jobs and the world is going through a major financial crisis with the coronavirus. I know this is not an easy time, but I also know that our Lord is faithful to the righteous.
God is so good to us, that he even left precious teachings in the Bible about the care we should take with our finances, a passage that I really like is Luke 14:28, where it is written: “Which one of you, if you want to build a tower, do not sit down first and calculate the price, to see if you have enough money to complete it? ”.
Planning is very important and I know that in times of unemployment or financial hardship it can be a challenge, so I would like to invite you to pray with me for your personal finances and the homes of our nation.
Remembering that you don’t need to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak your way.
Dear God, I give thanks because You have been faithful to me, food has not been lacking and I have a house to live in. The Lord supported me even in the midst of adversity and protected my family. And that is grace! So I thank and revere you.
My country and the world are going through a turbulent time with the pandemic, many have had great emotional and financial losses.
I pray that every home in my nation will, that You Lord will help every citizen manage their finances, just as I pray that You will teach me how to manage well everything the Lord has given me.
I know that many people are experiencing financial difficulties, I ask you to insert the provision in each of their lives. I also pray for those who manage public money, that the Lord will give them wisdom, Father.
May there be prosperity in my country and in my home. I ask that there is no lack of sustenance, bless my work. I also pray for those who find themselves without work, open the doors for these men and women, my God. And again, thanks for another day and for your affection!
Finally, I recognize Your sovereignty in everything because all the riches and resources of this world were created by You. May we use the riches of Your creation and all the resources that You Lord has given us to glorify You.
It is in the name of Jesus that I pray and ask that my words reach you like a sweet perfume!
Prayer of a mere servant of God
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[a] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
