Prayer: Guarding my steps

Father, I know that many times I make decisions based only on what my eyes can see. Just as Lot saw a land that was beautiful, fertile, and full of possibilities, I am also tempted to choose paths based on appearance, comfort, and immediate opportunities. Forgive me for the times when I considered only the visible benefits and failed to seek Your direction. Give me a sensitive heart to discern not only what seems good, but what is truly part of Your will for my life. Help me understand that the environments I choose to remain in deeply influence who I become. Guard my heart from influences that pull me away from Your presence, and strengthen my faith to remain in places that promote spiritual growth, even when they do not seem the most attractive in human eyes. May I never exchange Your peace for temporary advantages, nor Your presence for empty promises that do not come from You. Father, give me wisdom to recognize the moments when I need to leave behind certain seasons, relationships, habits, or environments. Many times I cling to what I already know out of fear of change or uncertainty. But I know that when […]

The right place

Throughout life, we are constantly called to make choices. Some seem obvious, attractive, and full of opportunities. Others require faith, patience, and trust in God. The problem is that not everything that looks good to our eyes is truly what is best for our future. The Bible shows us this through the story of Abraham and Lot, a narrative that remains extremely relevant for everyone who desires to live according to God’s will. Appearances can be deceiving “Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.)” Genesis 13:10 There came a time when Abraham’s and Lot’s flocks had grown so much that the land could no longer support them together. To avoid conflict, Abraham proposed that they separate and gave Lot the opportunity to choose first where he would go. Lot saw a place that, from a human perspective, seemed like the perfect choice. The plain was fertile, abundant, and promising. Everything pointed to prosperity. But Lot evaluated only what he could see. He observed the appearance of the land but ignored […]

God doesn’t speak to me

…Really? Many people carry in their hearts the feeling that God is distant or silent. They pray, wait for answers, try to move forward, but seem to hear nothing coming from heaven. Yet, perhaps the problem isn’t the absence of God’s voice, but the excess of noise within us. We live at a fast pace, surrounded by distractions, worries, and a routine that never slows down. And, in the midst of this confusion, we still say that God is too quiet. The truth is that God continues to speak. He continues to guide, teach, and call His children closer. But often, we are too busy to perceive His voice. Inner noise “After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.” 1 Kings 19:12 We live in a generation that hardly ever stops. We wake up thinking about commitments, we go to sleep worried about tomorrow, and we spend the whole day consuming information. The mind never rests. The heart is never silent. Between work, studies, bills, social media, projects, and anxiety, we fill our souls with noise. Then, we look to the sky and ask, “Why doesn’t […]

Prayer: Meet me in the secret place

Father, today I stand before You, acknowledging that many times I have allowed busyness, distractions, and the need for approval to steal from me the value of the secret place. Forgive me for the times I sought appearance more than intimacy, and recognition more than Your presence. I do not want to live a superficial faith, but a true relationship with You, built away from prying eyes and close to Your heart. Teach me once again to return to the secret place. May my prayer time not be a matter of obligation, but of a deep desire to encounter You. May I learn to seek You not only for what You can do for me, but for who You are. Give me a heart that delights in Your presence, that longs to hear Your voice and remain with You even in silence. Holy Spirit, reveal everything that has taken the center of my heart. If there is vanity, spiritual pride, or a need for human validation within me, I ask You: transform me. May I not live to appear spiritual before people, but to be known by You. Form in me a sincere and profound life, aligned with Your will. […]

The crisis of life “with” God

The crisis of life “with” God

We live in a generation that values what is visible, shareable, and recognized. In the midst of this, life with God faces a silent risk: losing the value of what is done in secret. What should be the foundation of our faith—intimacy with the Father—is often replaced by a spirituality that is visible, yet empty. Jesus taught us a completely different path—a path where what is done in secret is not optional, but essential. Where It all begins “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen…” Matthew 6:6 A true life with God is not born in public, but in secret. It is there, away from human eyes, that the relationship is built, the heart is aligned, and faith becomes real. Jesus was not only teaching about prayer, but about priorities. What we do in secret reveals where our heart truly is. When that place loses value, faith begins to grow shallow, and everything starts to feel difficult. Without secrecy, there is no depth. Without intimacy, there is no real transformation. Public expressions may impress, but it is the secret place that sustains. I know there are days when […]

Prayer: I Surrender

Prayer: I Surrender

Father, today I stand before You acknowledging that You are the God of new beginnings. Even when everything seems lost, when cycles end and paths break apart, You remain the One who restores, who lifts up, and who writes new stories. I thank You because Your mercy is never exhausted, and Your love is greater than any mistake, pain, or past that I carry. Many times I feel stuck to what has already passed — wrong decisions, missed opportunities, difficult seasons. But today I choose to trust that You do not define me by my past, but rather by Your purpose. Teach me to look ahead, to believe that new beginnings are possible in You. I want to walk in faith, even when I cannot yet see everything clearly. I ask You to strengthen me to live in this new season. May I not only desire to start over, but have the courage to take different steps. As Your Word says, I want to be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus, knowing that I do not depend on my own strength, but on what You release over me every day. Transform my mind and my heart. Remove […]

Prayer: Reveal Yourself

Father, I know that You are not guided by appearances, but that You search deeply into my heart, my intentions, and my motivations. I often worry about the outward, about what others think, but today I ask You: purify my inner self, because I know that it is there that You dwell and it is from there that You cause Your grace — true life — to flow. You are sovereign over all things. Just as Your power was revealed in Egypt, confronting everything that rose up as a god, I know that nothing can compare to You. Tear down within me every hidden “idol,” everything that takes Your place in my heart, and teach me to live surrendered to You alone, understanding that Your power and Your truth are above all things. Jesus, I thank You because, in the midst of judgment, You always offer redemption. Just as the blood of the lamb brought deliverance, I acknowledge that it is Your sacrifice that saves me, cleanses me, and gives me new life. I do not want to trust in myself, nor in my own works, but in the grace that comes from You, in the oil poured out by […]

Prayer: Seen by God

Father, today I stand before You acknowledging that You see beyond what our eyes can see. You are not impressed by appearance, by beautiful words, or by what others see in me, but You search the heart. Therefore, I ask You: align my inner self with You, because I know that it is from within that true life with God is born. Many times I worry more about what people think than about what You say about me. But Your Word teaches me that man looks at the outward appearance, while Your eyes are turned toward the heart. Remove from me every need for human approval and form in me a heart that is upright, sincere, and fully devoted to You. Separate me from the weeds, make me like You, and guide me fully toward Your purpose. May I live for Your Kingdom and no longer live for myself. I do not want to live a superficial faith, based on appearance or religiosity. I want to live a real, deep faith that remains even when no one is watching. Because I know that You desire truth in the innermost being and are pleased with a broken and humble heart before […]

What God really sees

What God really sees

We live in a world where appearance is often confused with essence. People may seem spiritual, righteous, and aligned with God, but only He knows what is truly in the heart. The parable of the weeds and the wheat confronts us with this truth: not everything that grows together belongs to the same purpose. More than seeming, God calls us to be. And in the end, that is what will make all the difference. Same field, different nature “Let both grow together until the harvest.” Matthew 13:30 Jesus explained that the weeds and the wheat grow together in the same field, sharing the same environment, the same soil, and even the same conditions. To human eyes, it is often difficult to tell them apart. This reality teaches us that being in the same place — in the church, in a Christian community, or in environments of faith — does not mean having the same essence. The weed may even resemble the wheat for a time, but its nature is different. Therefore, the calling is not merely to be present, but to be transformed. God is not impressed by outward proximity, but by inward truth. Essence above appearance “Thus, by their […]

Prayer: Surrender to the Source

Father, I know that many times I act as if I were the one who is always right. How often have I trusted more in my own understanding than in Your wisdom, forgetting that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge” (Proverbs 1:7). Today I surrender, recognizing that true wisdom does not come from within me, but from You. I confess my pride. Many times I struggle to accept correction, to listen, and to acknowledge when I am wrong. My ego speaks louder than Your voice. Therefore, I ask You—break in me everything that prevents me from having a teachable heart that is sensitive to Your direction. Teach me to trust less in myself and more in You. May my heart not be grounded in my own opinions, but in Your truth. As Your Word says, what I value directs my life, so align my desires, thoughts, and decisions with Your will, so that I will not lose my way by trusting in myself. Holy Spirit, work in me the humility to recognize when I am wrong and the maturity to accept and allow myself to be shaped by Your hands of love and justice. Even when […]

Prayer: The sound of worship

Father, I praise You because all creation reveals Your greatness, and yet You have chosen to hear the sound of my worship. The heavens, the earth, and everything that exists glorify You, but You have given me the privilege of knowing You and responding with a praise that comes from the heart. Thank You because I can draw near to You not only as creation, but as a child. Teach me not to live a worship that is automatic, empty, or distracted. I don’t want to merely exist before You—I want to recognize You, love You, and honor You in a conscious and intimate way. May my worship not depend on circumstances, but on the revelation of who You are. Even in difficult days, may my soul choose to worship You. Thank You because my worship carries redemption through Jesus. I do not praise You only as Creator, but as Savior, as Father. Your love found me, restored me, and brought me back into Your presence. May I never forget this. May every word that comes out of my mouth carry gratitude for all that You have already done for me. God, awaken in me a sensitivity to hear Your […]

A sound that only comes from us

A sound that only comes from us

All of creation reveals the glory of God. The sky, the sea, the mountains, and even the wind express, in their own way, who He is. There is a constant praise happening all around us, often imperceptible to our ears because it is so commonplace in our daily lives, yet fully known by God. Yet, there is something unique about human worship. There is a sound, a surrender, an awareness that only we, as His children, can offer. Nature praises for what it was created to be. We worship because we know who created us, and that changes everything. Creation glorifies “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” Psalm 19:1 Nature lives in constant witness to the greatness of the Creator. The sun rises and sets in perfect order, the seas obey their limits, and all creation responds to the voice of God without question. Psalm 148 invites the sun, the moon, the stars, and all the earth to praise the Lord. This praise does not depend on choice, feeling, or circumstance. Creation fulfills its purpose automatically, reflecting God’s majesty simply by existing. It doesn’t need to understand in order to obey; it simply responds […]

Prayer: Preparing ourselves

God, in a season when our days are filled with commitments, lists, and expectations, we pause before You to acknowledge that many times we organize everything around us, yet neglect the space within us.We ask for forgiveness for the times our schedules have been too full for Your presence. Teach us to slow down, to be silent, and to remember that what matters most is not what we prepare externally, but the place we open in our hearts to receive You. Jesus, just as on that night when there was no room for You in the inn, we recognize that at times there is no space in our routine for Your voice. We clean the house, plan gatherings, and dream about the new year, but leave our hearts disordered. Today, willingly, we open the door. Remove from us anxiety, the need for control, and haste, so that You may not be just a visitor, but the One who remains with us. Help us align our expectations with Yours. In the midst of earthly plans, teach us to prepare the way for Your presence. May we not be merely excited about dates, but passionate about walking with You every day. May […]

Prepared

Prepared

We are in the final month of the year, when preparations for Christmas and the New Year fill our days: lists, goals, shopping, schedules, and expectations. We organize everything to welcome guests or to visit someone special, to turn the year “the right way” and begin a new cycle. But amid so many external adjustments, an important question arises: are we preparing in the same way to receive Jesus? A full schedule “She gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.” Luke 2:7 Many times, our lives are so full of commitments, tasks, and plans that there is no room left for the presence of Christ. We tidy the house, plan the dinner, organize gatherings, and set goals for the coming year, yet we leave the heart disordered. Jesus continues knocking at the door, as Revelation 3:20 says, longing to come in and dine with us—but He does not force His way in. He waits for the door to be opened willingly. Preparing for Jesus is not about filling our lives with activities, but about removing excess. It is emptying the […]

Prayer: Sensitive heart

Lord, I know that so often my heart becomes heavy, hardened, and distracted. How many times have I let feelings and desires pull me away from Your presence. Visit the deepest parts of my being and make my heart sensitive to Your voice once again. May I hear Your whisper again and move according to Your Spirit. I don’t want to live with a heart of stone, unable to receive Your seed. Give me a heart of flesh—soft and willing to be shaped by Your hands. Free me from all resistance to Your will, and teach me to obey even when I don’t understand what You are doing. May my repentance be sincere, and may I never grow comfortable living far from You. Lord, help me not to be distracted by the voices of this world. May sin find no space in me, and may pride not close my ears to Your correction. Renew in me the first love—the one that moves me to pour myself out and rejoice in the simple things of Your Kingdom. May my love for You never grow cold, and may Your presence be my greatest delight. Take control of every area of my life. […]

Hardened heart

Hardened heart

We can become resistant to God’s voice when we allow pride, hurt, or unbelief to take control. A hardened heart is like dry soil—unable to receive the seed of the Word and bear fruit. The danger lies in becoming accustomed to living far from God’s presence. Hardening the heart doesn’t happen all at once, but gradually, as we resist the voice of the One who desires to transform us. Stopping to listen “As has just been said: ‘Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.’” Hebrews 3:15 The hardening of the heart begins when we stop listening. God speaks in many ways—through His Word, prayer, circumstances, or even through people—but when we ignore His warnings, our hearts begin to grow insensitive. A hardened heart is not one that cannot hear, but one that hears and chooses not to yield, or is too numb to discern. That’s what happened with Pharaoh in Egypt. Even in the face of miracles and wonders, he insisted on resisting God’s will. The result was destruction. Likewise, when we insist on controlling our own lives and denying the work of the Spirit, we begin to drift away […]

Prayer: Perfected in the fire

Lord, I know that true faith is not born from easy days, but forged in the flames of trials. Even when I do not understand the path, I choose to trust in You. Remind me always that I am not tested to be destroyed, but to be molded, purified, and strengthened. Teach me to rest in Your purpose, even when the fire feels too intense. You know my limitations and my fear in the face of difficulties at times. But I know that the same God who allowed the fire for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego was also inside the furnace with them and did not let it consume them. Do not let my eyes focus on the possible pain, but turn my attention to Your constant presence in the midst of it. May I see Your hand even in the hardest circumstances, and learn to recognize Your care even in the furnace. May the fire transform me, burning away pride, self-sufficiency, and doubt, and reveal a heart completely surrendered to You. Purify me like gold, so that my faith may become precious in Your eyes. Through it all, may Your name be glorified. Father, I believe that every furnace has […]

Friends of sin

Sin never stopped destroying; it only learned to disguise itself better. What was once seen as abominable is now often treated as natural, acceptable, or even entertaining. What we forget is that the same sin that led Christ to the cross is the same one that tries to steal our spirit every day. When we befriend sin, we stop noticing how it slowly weakens us until it completely separates us from God. Comfort as a covering “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 Sin never presents itself as destruction at first. It arrives softly, wrapped in comfort, as something harmless that seems to ease life’s weight. Little by little, it settles into our hearts and becomes part of our routine. An indifferent glance, a proud word, a selfish choice—each seems too small to cause great harm. But that’s exactly how sin works: a slow trap. It gives us a false sense of freedom while quietly making us slaves. The Christian life requires surrender, and the enemy knows how hard it is for us to let go. That’s why he makes sin attractive, offering temporary pleasure […]

Prayer: Humble in spirit

Father, everything I am and everything I have comes from You. May I not seek my own glory, but Yours. True greatness is found in bowing before You and serving the people You have placed in my life. Teach me to think less of myself and more of Christ, according to Your call to live by the spirit of the Kingdom. Jesus, in Your example we see that humility is not weakness but strength—and it exalts God. May I have in me the same mindset that was in You, and may my heart be that of a servant, not turned toward pride, but molded to love as You have loved and continue to love. Dwell in my heart, and let humility blossom with every step I take. Help me to let go of selfish ambitions and to bear with one another in love, decreasing my “self” so that more of You may be seen in me. Heal the soil of my heart; remove from me the heart of stone and give me a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). May I be sensitive to Your voice and become teachable—ready to learn, grow, and change. Let humility not be mere appearance but […]

Prayer: Changing the heart

Father, I recognize that many times I have prayed expecting a visible change—a clear answer that would ease my worries, take me out of one place, and move me to another in the blink of an eye. But I know that You will not always alter the circumstances the way I desire. Forgive my impatience and my doubt of Your love when I should be trusting even in the silence. Help me understand that even when I don’t see external change, You are working within me, and in Your perfect time, everything—including myself—will be transformed. Teach me the mature prayer that Jesus prayed—the one that surrenders control, placing my will under Yours. Teach me to pray not only for relief but for my heart to be shaped by Your grace, for my inner being to be renewed even if my circumstances remain still. God, I pour everything at Your feet—my disappointments, wounds, anguish, joys, dreams, and deepest desires. May my understanding of prayer not be tied to what I see, but to what Your heart has prepared for me. Grant me peace beyond understanding. In the midst of the storm, may my hands still rise in worship and my heart […]

Resurrection and eternal life!

Resurrection and eternal life!

“And this is what he promised us—eternal life.” 1 John 2:25 Eternal life is the greatest gift we receive in Christ. It is not something earned by human merit, but by God’s grace through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. This promise reminds us that death is not the end, but the door to eternity with the Lord. Living with this certainty transforms the way we face the present. When we know our story does not end here, we can better deal with pain, loss, and challenges, for nothing is final. The hope of eternal life sustains us and gives us reason to remain steadfast, even in the midst of adversity. Jesus Himself declared that He is the resurrection and the life, and that whoever believes in this truth, though they die, will live. This is the guarantee that by believing in Him, we will experience victory over death. Eternal life is the fulfillment of God’s love, which never abandons us, not even in the face of what we see as the end. Learning and transformation “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into […]

The christian and the small choices

The Christian life is not built only on great moments, but on the small daily choices that reflect who we are in Christ. God calls us to live in holiness not only on Sundays, in church services, or on special occasions, but also in the simple things: in the way we speak, act, and decide. It is in the seemingly small choices that we reveal whether our life is being guided by ourselves or by the Holy Spirit. Holiness in everyday life “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.’” 1 Peter 1:15-16 Holiness is not limited to moments of prayer or worship. It is manifested in how we treat people, how we manage our time, how we handle our words and thoughts. Every choice, no matter how small it seems, carries the responsibility of revealing who is guiding our life. Choosing to forgive, even when it is not easy; deciding to speak the truth instead of lying; choosing kindness when we could be indifferent. These gestures shape a holy heart and demonstrate that the Holy Spirit is in control of our […]

Prayer: Reorganizing the heart

Father, so often my heart is like a house of negotiation: filled with distractions, selfishness, and motivations that pull me away from You. Forgive me for allowing human priorities, fleeting desires, and personal comfort to take the place that rightfully belongs to You. I cry out for You to flip the tables within me, just as Jesus did in the temple, so that the true altar of worship may be restored in my heart. I know You discipline those You love, Your chosen and set-apart children. Thank You because Your work is an expression of love and care, not meaningless punishment. Your correction has a purpose: to purify us and align us with Your heart. May I understand that what seems like chaos is not always destruction, but rather purification for what is to come. Holy Spirit, may every area of my heart be poured out before You and reorganized according to Your will. May Your work completely change my motivations, aligning my life with Your presence and not with the noise of the world. Allow me to fully live out Your plans for me; fix my eyes only on You. May God’s work within me not be temporary but […]

The God Who flips the tables

There are moments when God needs to intervene firmly within us. Just as Jesus entered the temple and overturned the money changers’ tables, showing that the house of God was not a place for bargaining, He also needs to bring order to our inner being. Our hearts often become filled with distractions, selfishness, and greed, and in His love, the Lord disrupts to reorganize, cleanses to sanctify, and flips tables to bring us back to the focus: His presence. The Heart as a Temple “Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.” Matthew 21:12 Jesus’ act in the temple was more than just a reaction to religious corruption—it was a symbol of the purity God expects. The temple, a sacred place, had become a marketplace. The same happens in our hearts when we set aside what is holy to prioritize what is convenient. Allowing God to “flip tables” inside us means recognizing the areas contaminated by ego, haste, and the pursuit of personal gain. He must purify our inner being so that the true altar of worship can be restored. […]
