Wearing the armor of God
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the celestial kingdoms.
Ephesians 6:12 (NIV)
As soldiers of God, we need to be ready for battle every day and that is why it is very important to put on spiritual armor, because as it is written in Ephesians 6:12 our struggle is not against the flesh, but against principalities and powers , then our spirit must be strengthened. I invite you to pray with me and to wear the protection that comes from our Lord!
Remembering that you do not need to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, as each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak your way.
Beloved God, I ask you for spiritual protection, for me and my family so that we can stand firm against the enemy’s traps.
Prayer of a mere servant of God
I pray that you put on all your armor: the belt of truth, the breastplate of justice, shoes with the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith and the helmet of salvation.
May the belt of truth protect me from all lies and may the breastplate of justice protect my heart, for as it is written in your word, the sources of life come from it.
In the same way, I ask the Lord to give me strength and courage to proclaim His word everywhere I go, with the shoes of preparing for the gospel of peace and that the shield of faith and the helmet of salvation, protect me from any doubt cast by the enemy.
I ask for your armor, because I know that I depend on you and that my strength comes from the Lord, so I also pray that each day is closer to your ways and that you have eyes capable of seeing danger.
Father, I already thank you for your protection, for taking such good care of me and my family. May my home be a place protected by you and the fear of the Lord.
It is in the name of Jesus that I pray and ask that my words reach you like a soft perfume!
Wear all the armor of God, so that you can position yourself against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the celestial kingdoms. So, put on all the armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you can stand firm and, after doing everything, stand firm. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth fastened around your waist, with the breastplate of justice in place and your feet prepared with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the fiery arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit at all times with all kinds of prayers and requests. With that in mind, stay alert and always pray for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words will be given to me, without fear, to make known the mystery of the gospel, of which I am a chained ambassador. Pray that I can declare this without fear, as I must. Tychicus, the dear brother and faithful servant of the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you too will know how I am and what I am doing. I am sending him to you for this purpose, so that you know what we are like and he can encourage you. Peace to brothers and sisters and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an everlasting love.
