It was never about a feeling!

Have we based our relationship with God on feeling? Do we understand that we should not seek only the feeling? Today, I would like us to talk a little about this topic so much talked about in the Christian world. Have we sought the Lord’s presence just to feel Him? Shall we talk about? A rational search “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” Jeremiah 17: 9 I don’t know if you have been through this situation, but for a good part of my spiritual walk, I carried a heavy burden on my heart because I was deceiving myself. I thought that I would only be having a total surrender to the Lord and would only be living a sincere relationship with Him, if I felt His presence in all services and at all times. It hurt me for a long time and even demotivated me. I went to conferences, services, had my moments with God, but I didn’t feel His presence. Many times I was stressed with the Lord, I was angry and sad, because I did not understand why all this was happening. It didn’t make sense to me. I was looking, […]

Help not to look back!

I would like to say a prayer with you to ask for the help of the Lord for us to be consistent and look forward! We constantly need to remember that it is not good to look back and desire what we used to do before we truly met God! Remembering that you don’t need to repeat this prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. So if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, but feel free to speak your way. Jesus, first of all I want to thank you for Your love for me and for Your mercy! Even though I don’t deserve it, You pour all that I need into my life. I confess that I have had some difficulties in relation to my past! The desire to look at back and do the same things again has increased! So I ask you to give me strength and make me see with my spiritual eyes, instead of seeing with carnal eyes. Help me to see the beauty in the journey and in the processes! As a sinner, I have […]

What are your priorities?

Have we given due importance to the Word of God? Has the Lord been a priority in our lives? Or do we leave to have a moment with God only at the end of the day and prefer to do other things before? In today’s blog, we would like to bring this reflection! We know that God and His Word are extremely important, but have we given due attention? I think this reflection is valid for all of us! Come on? The day by day! “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6: 33 In our life, we have several things to do. We have dreams, plans and projects and we strive and dedicate ourselves to achieve them. However, we understand that if our dreams and plans are not in accordance with God’s will, we will never be able to please God, much less be truly happy. Happiness is exclusively tied to the will of God in our lives. We Christians know very well that deep, true and overflowing happiness cannot be found in the things of the world. Okay, but what does all this have to do […]

I would like to say a prayer with you to thank the Lord for all that He has done for us! We constantly need to give thanks to God for His goodness and mercy! Remembering that you don’t need to repeat this prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. So if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, but feel free to speak your way. “Jesus, thank you so much for the life the Lord has given me. I am grateful for all the undeserved things I have and received. With my own hands, I could never reach any of them, but by His grace, love and mercy, I can enjoy them. Thank you for my family, God. I apologize, because I often end up stressing them out and I don’t appreciate their presence and life. But I am extremely grateful for each one of them. I am also grateful for the friends You gave me. For all the dear companions that the Lord has placed beside me. And I ask You to show me if any of my friendships are […]

I can’t hear God’s voice

Have you also been troubled by not being able to hear the Lord’s voice? Have you ever wondered why you didn’t hear God speak? Are you going through this today? Today I would like to talk about one of the phrases that I spoke most in my life and that I hear many times! If you’ve ever felt that way, I imagine it’s an important text for you! Shall we talk about it? The noise is too loud! “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” Luke 5:16 The Bible shows us that, on several occasions, Jesus withdrew from the presence of others, went to a quiet place and prayed to His Father. But for what reason did He do this? In my view, Jesus withdrew for two reasons: to avoid noise and to be alone with the Lord. I would like to speak specifically about the noise. Noise that deafens us and disturbs us. What noise would that be? The vast majority of us have a busy schedule and a very busy life. We got involved in a lot of activities and ended up with a very full mind too. It is important to say that there is […]

Men of the Lord!

Today’s text is especially for men and I would like to ask: have we properly performed the role of men of God? Or are we disrespecting and not caring for the people around us? This is very important to talk about this topic, because many of us men do not understand what it is to be a man of God and end up acting in the way they think is best. Shall we talk about? A man loves! “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.“ 1 Corinthians 16: 13-14 One thing I find interesting about this passage is the way Paul talks about love. He doesn’t just tell us to love one another, but he tells us to do everything with love. But what’s the difference? The principle itself is the same, but the big difference is the verb “to do”. We can often think that love is just a feeling and that there is no need for anything else. However, it is extremely important to understand that love comes with actions. If we love Christ, we act as one. It should likewise work with the people around us. The Lord told […]

Remembering that you do not need to repeat this prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. So if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, but feel free to make it as you wish. “Father, today was a difficult day. Several times I got distracted from Your ways and I gave way to temptation. Even though I knew I was going the wrong way, I decided to go on. I got dirty with the impurities of sin, polluted my mind and ignored Your Spirit, I am dirty and I have neither the strength to get up nor the water to wash myself. Therefore, I ask You, once again, to pour out Your water on me and extend Your mighty hand to me. Free me from myself, purify my heart, my mind and my soul from the things that I put in me. I ask you, God: please, have mercy on me […]

Where can I run from You?

Have we tried to flee from the Lord? Have we tried to hide from our responsibilities to Him? There is not a single space that the Lord is not in. Today I would like to talk about our responsibilities to the Lord! It is important to understand, embrace and fulfill the responsibilities we have as children of God! Come on? We have nowhere to go! “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,”even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.” Psalm 139: 7-12 I think it is very important to make a correlation between our responsibilities and the Lord’s omnipresence! How does it work? As we said in the last text on Communion, each of us has a specific responsibility in the kingdom. So, if […]

Have we enjoyed the communion of people, even through technology? Have we spent time with our brothers / sisters in the faith? Or have we walked alone? Today I would like to talk a little about the importance of communion between the brothers. We often think that there is no need to be in communion! Is that really it? Let’s talk about? The Society! ” Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, you his servants; praise the name of the Lord. Let the name of the Lord be praised, both now and forevermore. From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised. “ Psalm 113: 1-3 As we have already said in one of the last texts, it is not new for any of us who live in society. And, because we live in society, we need to understand the value of relating to the people around us. Many times, people hurt us or we hurt other people and it ends up disturbing our relationships. In fact, many people turn away from God and stop attending churches, due to the attitudes of people who hurt them. But we need to understand that just as we have flaws, so do the people around […]

Also, for the times that I didn’t worship you in spirit and in truth. I do not want my search, my life and my devotion to be superficial. I want to find fullness in You; guide my heart, show me how to overflow of joy in Your presence. I’m tired of living something shallow and meaningless. Be patient with the others!

Have we been thinking about each other? Have we understood that each one has their own time? Or have we easily lost patience? Today I would like to comment on a very interesting topic, which we often do not pay attention to! Will you join me? Self-control “Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.” Proverbs 16:32 Self-control has to do with our ability to control our impulses, attitudes, behaviors and emotions. And it has everything to do with patience. Unfortunately it is very easy and common for us to get stressed and lose patience with the people around us, doesn’t matter if they are relatives, friends or even people we do not know. In my point of view, this happens because of the selfishness that exists within us. We always tend to think about ourselves before we think about other people. This is something of our nature and, consequently, we started to want everything to happen when and the way we want. Consequently, we tend to react in the wrong way to situations that are not as we wish. But that’s not how things are supposed to work, right? The service […]

Love and respect the others!

Have we been stressed easily? Have we respected and loved people, regardless of their opinions? Both Christians and non-Christians? Today I would like to talk a little about love and respect! I was talking to my psychologist, who is a Christian, and she showed me that love and respect goes beyond what I thought it was! Come on? Constant respect! “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,” Philippians 2: 3 In this conversation with my psychologist, I started talking about relationships with her. Through my speech, she noticed that my attitude / posture changed, depending on who I was talking to. When I talked to a person who respected herself and was respectful, I was respectful, but when I talked to a person who did not respect herself and was not respectful of others, my behavior was different. I thought about it a lot and went to research what the Bible said about respect. I found the above verse, which says that we must consider others superior to ourselves, that is, treat absolutely everyone with respect, listen to everyone and love each one of them. And that is totally related to the […]

There is no problem on having fear!

Many times we go through difficulties, moments of tribulation and we are afraid! And fear is a natural human feeling. The big problem is from there: in what we do in the face of fear. Have you been afraid? Have you let fear paralyze you, or have you taken advantage of that fear to grow? I would like to talk to you today about how to use fear to learn, grow, depend more on God and glorify Him more! Come on? Be afraid! “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalms 56: 3 It is extremely common to be afraid and, unfortunately, it is also common to think that it is wrong to be afraid! Fear is a simple reaction of our mind and thoughts. It is normal to be afraid of something. However, we need to use this fear to glorify God! But how? Use that fear to depend even more on the Lord. The moment we are afraid is the perfect time to look at ourselves and realize how small we are. I would like to bring a brief and simple message, to analyze our hearts! Have we done things from the heart for the Lord? Did we fall into the routine and end up praying or reading the Bible out of obligation? Do we worship the Lord in spirit and in truth? Shall we talk about? Routine compliance It is true that we all have a routine and that, regardless of how busy the routine is, we need to have time for our spiritual life. Time for prayer, reading the Word and worship is sorely needed. However, we often fall into the routine and start doing things out of a simple obligation and do not think about the real reason we are doing that. Unfortunately, this often happens in our spiritual lives. We started to pray simply to pray, to fulfill the table. Read the Bible to fulfill the table. Is this right? With absolute certainty, it is not right at all! The Lord wants us to be whole, wants us to do things with our understanding. What does the Lord seek? “let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts […]

In these times of social isolation, I have realized how great the impact of worship on our lives. Worship must always be present in our lives! I would like to talk a little about it today! Come on? Worship is individual I always had the habit of not worrying about my secret worship, after all, the fact of praising in the church is enough, right? Quite the opposite. It is very common to think that we go to cults, conferences and events to fill up, but this is completely wrong. The moments of worship must be of surrender to the Lord. We go to church to serve, to empty ourselves and to worship the Lord. Spiritual food, receiving, being filled and filled is in everyday life, in the secret, in the place where we are not seen, where only the Lord sees our surrender. Your difficulties, your failures, your sins … with whom have you shared? Who has helped you on your spiritual journey? I have realized the importance of having people to accompany us in our life with Christ. We cannot walk alone, because together we can grow and learn more about our Father and his principles revealed in the Word. I would like to talk to you a little about this! Come on? Have someone accompany you “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10: 24-25 The Bible makes it very clear to us the importance of having fellowship with our brothers and encouraging one another. We all know that a spiritual journey is far from easy. Every day we have struggles, problems, difficulties and sadness that we carry. Undeserved life No. I don’t want to talk only about the goods and passing things that we receive from the Lord! I want to talk about everything, everything! I imagine that the main thing we receive from the Lord is life. I think about it a lot and the more I think about it, the more I realize that God really didn’t need any of us! Run to the Lord!

Where is our refuge? Who have we believed and trusted? In moments of anguish and pain, into whose arms have we been running? These days I have been thinking a lot about refuge. Where is our heart? “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21 The Bible makes it very clear to us that what we pay attention to will greatly influence our decisions. However, several times we pay attention to things that do not matter and this brings us great losses. Whenever we have our hearts in the wrong place, as soon as we experience some difficulty, we tend not to run to God or even to blame Him, even though we have no reason to do so. However, this does not happen only when we are in an uncomfortable or painful situation. This also happens, often, when we are happy and “without problems or difficulties” in our lives. The importance of interceding

We need to talk about the importance of intercession! In moments like the one we are experiencing in the world, of great crisis in several sectors, one of the best things we can do is to intercede. But do we know the true importance of intercession? Are we interceding correctly? Prayer / intercession is one of the sustenance of the body of Christ. A church that moves forward to establish the Kingdom of God is also a church that prays and intercedes. If we want to make a difference, we need to intercede! Shall we talk a little about? Intercession for those who exercise authority I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 1 Timothy 2: 1-2 Many passages speak about prayer. But I would like to bring this biblical passage to show that there are important issues related to intercession. One is that we must intercede for the authorities and leaders who are above us. Although we often find it difficult to accept certain leaders or certain actions from our leaders, we need to […]

Forgiveness that heals!

I would like to bring up a very important topic today: Forgiveness! Have we forgiven as Christ taught us? Have we been meek of heart? Or do I fear we are easily stressed, compassionate and resentful? The question of forgiveness is a very delicate one. A theme that must be rooted in our minds, so that the Body of Christ may be built and communion may grow. Why should I forgive or ask for forgiveness? “Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.” Matthew 18:21-22 I believe that the biggest reason why we should forgive our brothers and accept a request for forgiveness is for simple fact that we are sinners and did not deserve God’s forgiveness, yet He gave His Son to forgive our sins, so if we are Christians (the meaning of the word Christians in Greek is “Little Christs”), we must follow the ways of Christ There is something very interesting about forgiveness in Jewish culture: in Judaism, it was considered honorable to forgive three times. However, in this line […]

How much time have we invested in the study of the Word? Have we taken advantage of the time we have to read the Bible? Today we are going to talk about the importance of the Bible in our lives. The Bible in my life As I was saying, my walk with the Bible was never a good one. I have always been reluctant to spend time reading the Word and would rather have my leisure than invest time with the Bible. Without a doubt, the consequences of this in my life were not good. If I had spent more time with the Word of the Lord, when I was younger, today I could have a better understanding of who God is, who I am in Him and many other things, such as my calling. Did you sin? Take Christ’s hand and get up!

From the moment we sin, accusations arise and can take over our minds. We need to talk about the danger of the charges. This is a topic that has spoken a lot to my heart and I have realized how much the accusations can hinder our spiritual journey! Come on? The accusation does not come from God “Then I heard a strong voice from heaven, saying: “Now has come the salvation, the power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ, forbeen cast out the accuser of our brothers has, who accuses them before our God, day and night.” Revelation 12:10 Whenever we fall into temptation, Satan will try to put us down, saying that” we are no longer children of God, who “are not worthy of God’s forgiveness” and many other things. Undoubtedly, listening to the accusations was one of the things that hindered me most in my spiritual journey. In today’s text, we are going to talk about the person who generated us, the person who carried us in her womb and the one who was chosen by God to bring us into the world. God attaches great importance to mothers, especially in raising their children. Together with the father, both have the role of caring, protecting and walking their children’s lives in the ways of the Lord. And children have the obligation to respect, obey and honor their parents. “My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.” Proverbs 1: 8-9 The mother takes care of her children with her own body and is the second person to know that little, fragile, helpless and so loved being, coming right after God.
