We are human, and daily, we deal with other humans—with their mistakes, failures, and shortcomings. Because we are so accustomed to living with people, we sometimes project human traits onto God in our minds, thinking He is like us, with flaws and limitations. But even though He once became flesh and walked among us, He remained God. Constant God “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 It’s not because people have abandoned you that God will do the same. Or because you lost a job that God stopped being your provider. People are not as constant as God; they easily break promises and lose focus on their goals. But God remains steadfast, strengthening and guiding those who seek direction and power in Christ. It is crucial that our foundation is built on God, on His truths and His presence. Do not rely on human understanding—it can frustrate your plans. Instead, focus on God’s grace and follow it.
