Prayer: Influencing through the Spirit

In the previous message, I mentioned the importance of not allowing ourselves to be influenced by others, but rather allowing ourselves to be guided by God and influencing others through that.

I would like to take this moment to pray together about this matter.

Remembering that you don’t need to pray exactly as I’m going to say here. I know that everyone has their own way of communicating with the Father, and it is important that we seek this intimacy. Feel free to talk to the Lord in your way. But if you wish, I am here to accompany you in this prayer.

Prayer

“God, lead my heart to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Teach me the way and direct my focus to where You want me to go. I long to move towards Your promises and the calling You have for my life. I do not want to be shaped by the influences of the world around me. I acknowledge, Lord, that You are the source of all wisdom and truth, and Your words and deeds are the standard by which I should live.

Empower my heart to discern what I should absorb and learn from the things around me, and to understand what I should reject and rebuke in my life. I desire to follow those influences that draw me closer to You and make me more like Jesus. Help me not to be swept away by the fleeting values and ideas of this world, but to remain firmly anchored in Your Word and the teachings of Jesus.

May the example of Jesus be my guide in all areas of life. I want to learn from His humility, compassion, and sacrificial love, always seeking to do Your will and serve others with generosity and kindness. Empower me to be a true disciple of Christ, bringing His message of love and salvation to all people around me. Teaching what I know and learning what You want me to know, to grow and reach higher places.

Father, may my words and actions be inspired by Your Holy Spirit, reflecting the light and love of Jesus to all whom I encounter. May I be an instrument in Your hands, bringing hope and restoration to a world that desperately needs Your love. Prepare me spiritually to be in the world without being corrupted by it, so that I may bring Your light to dark places far from You.

May my influence in all places be always positive and uplifting, bringing Christ and the truth of Your Word. Empower me to be a channel of Your grace and mercy, sharing the love of Jesus in practical and tangible ways. May my life be a reflection of Your love and glory, O God. In every place I go, may I seek and bring Your grace.

In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen!”

Prayer: Purify and restore

Prayer: Purify and restore

Father, today I stand before You, acknowledging my need for the presence of Your Holy Spirit. There are areas of my life that often resemble dry, weary, and barren land. There are times when my faith weakens, my heart becomes heavy, and my soul thirsts for the water that only You can offer. Therefore, I ask You: pour out Your showers of blessing upon me. May Your Spirit renew what is worn out, restore what is broken, and bring life where there is dryness. Just as You promised to pour water upon the thirsty land, I acknowledge my dependence on You. I do not want to seek satisfaction in the fleeting things of this world, but in the inexhaustible source of Your presence. Fill my heart with Your peace, strengthen my faith, and help me remain close to You at all times. May Your Spirit flow through my life like rivers of living water, bringing hope, direction, and renewal to every area that needs Your touch. Holy Spirit, fall upon me like a flood. Invade the places in my heart that I have not yet fully surrendered to the Lord. Wash away my worries, my fears, my insecurities, and everything […]

Rain and fire upon us

Rain and fire upon us

Throughout the Scriptures, God uses powerful images to reveal the work of the Holy Spirit. Among them, two appear repeatedly: rain and fire. They may seem like completely opposite images when we read them, but rain speaks of life, renewal, and abundance, while fire speaks of purification, holiness, and power. When we cry out, “Holy Spirit, fall like a flood” or “Holy Spirit, send Your fire,” we are echoing deeply biblical symbols that point to God’s work among His people. The Holy Spirit is not merely a force or a passing emotion. He is the living presence of God dwelling within us, transforming dry hearts into fertile ground and igniting cold lives with the fire of His presence. Rain upon dry ground “I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.” Ezekiel 34:26 Since the Old Testament, God has promised to pour out blessings upon His people like rain that falls at the proper time. The image of water is frequently used to describe spiritual renewal, restoration, and abundant life that come from the Lord. In a world marked by spiritual exhaustion, many hearts […]

Procrastinators

Procrastinators

We live in a tired generation. We constantly hear about procrastination, discouragement, and the difficulty of completing even simple daily tasks. Many times, our lives seem organized on the outside, but inside there is an overwhelmed mind with no strength to begin. Getting out of bed feels difficult. Small tasks become gigantic. Simple things remain unfinished and, without realizing it, we accumulate pending matters that increase our anxiety even more. Procrastination is not always born from laziness. Sometimes, it comes from mental exhaustion, emotional overload, and a mind that can no longer handle so many demands at the same time. And perhaps the answer is not in doing more, but in slowing down, breathing, and learning to walk one step at a time before God again. The body stops “For he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.” Psalm 103:14 Our minds were not created to carry everything at once. When we look at a huge list of responsibilities, pressures, and expectations, the brain tends to search for a place of comfort and escape. That is why, many times, we become paralyzed even before small tasks. Not because we do not want to do them, but […]
