Don’t compare yourself!

Don’t compare yourself!

You know that person you admire and look up to? I need to tell you something: she also has bad days, and her life is not perfect. Lives on screen These people will not go around shouting to the world that they have health problems, financial problems, or what struggles they are facing to everyone around them. Just like you don’t tell everyone that yesterday you went to sleep crying. What we see on social media or in person when we go out is a very small part of the lives of the people around us; there is no way to base it solely on that. God has been acting in your life too, delivering miracles and blessings every day. Don’t look around, don’t compare your path with others. Understand what He has done for you individually, with a measure made especially for you. You are loved You are no less loved because you are crying while others laugh. Just like it doesn’t mean God loves you more because you’re smiling now while others cry. Battles are necessary; struggles exist to make us grow and teach us, and we all go through them. We let the world see what suits […]

Prayer: Building tomorrow

Prayer: Building tomorrow

Previously, I spoke to you about being grateful for everything we have today. The Father pours blessings upon us every day so that we can build our future with Him. Shall we pray about this gratitude? You don’t need to pray exactly as I’m going to say here. I know that everyone has their own way of communicating with the Father, and it is important that we seek this intimacy. Feel free to talk to the Lord in your way. But if you wish, I am here to accompany you in this prayer. Prayer “Father, the Lord pours so much upon us! Unique blessings and wonders, things that we only achieve by being in You, for the Lord is the source of everything! Help us to recognize and value everything You have already placed in our hands, to live a life of gratitude, even without having yet reached the place we dreamed of, but recognizing that the Lord places us in a place of honor every day, before Your grace and majesty! May our eyes be open to see each of the blessings we have already received, for it is through what we have and are now that the Lord […]

Where does the future begin?

You know that dream you have? That goal you work so hard to achieve? God is working on it today! Molded now Many times we want something so much that we can only look forward, forgetting today. But don’t belittle what you’re experiencing now, because this is when God is working. He is using what you have today so that you can achieve what you want and need tomorrow. He wants who you are today to transform and shape who you will be tomorrow. For the next day to come, you need to wait for today to end. So, make this day count! Creating today What you have may seem little to you now, because what we dream of is usually greater than what we already have, and what God has for us is even greater. This makes us look forward to tomorrow and close our eyes to the present. But God will use what you have now. Everything He has already placed in your hands is crucial so that you have the tools necessary to build the future. Everything you will experience begins based on the way you live today, the choices and directions you take now. Don’t forget […]

Prayer: Directing dreams

Prayer: Directing dreams

There are dreams that are aligned with God’s, others that walk outside of God’s footsteps, and even those that are blessed by the Lord but become wrong dreams because we seek them incorrectly, far from God’s teachings. I want to invite you to pray together at this moment so that our dreams and paths align with those of the Father. Only in this way can we bear fruit for the Kingdom and experience everything that God desires for us. Remembering that you don’t need to pray exactly as I’m going to say here. I know that everyone has their own way of communicating with the Father, and it is important that we seek this intimacy. Feel free to talk to the Lord in your way. But if you wish, I am here to accompany you in this prayer. Prayer “Father, thank You for everything You give to me. Be the Author of my dreams and the guide of my paths. May my dreams and projects be in perfect harmony with Yours, so that I can live according to Your purpose and Your will. Teach my heart to discern the desires that You have, and may my plans be in accordance […]

Anointed

Anointed

What have you done with what God has poured out on you? We often seek instant fulfillment, asking for everything or new things immediately, hoping to feel needed. However, true fulfillment comes only from Him, and we can only attain new things when we learn to cherish what we already have. God desires to anoint what you already possess! You already have the gift “If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:2 God will not give you something new if you do not value what you already have. Routine makes us forget all that we have with us, everything we have received from God. We ask for gifts and more gifts, and we neglect the anointing. We long to be talented people, but when we have the ability to do something, we often think only of serving ourselves. Seeking validation in something that should point to the Kingdom. There is a very big difference between a gift and anointing. God wants to anoint us in our gifts; He wants to direct us to impact lives through our […]

Prayer: Living in the Supernatural

Let’s pray together about the supernatural? Just as I mentioned in the previous text, God wants us to live out promises and miracles through His hands and calls us today to draw near to Him. And it’s important that we pray for this, entrusting our trust to the Father. You don’t need to pray exactly as I’m going to say here. I know that everyone has their way of talking to the Father, and it is important that we individually seek intimacy with Him. Therefore, feel comfortable talking to the Lord in your own way. But if you want, I will be happy to accompany you in this prayer. Prayer “God, allow us to live in the supernatural. Open our eyes to Your wonders and miracles. We don’t want to see just the ordinary in our days, but to perceive the extraordinary that happens through Your mighty hand. We know that You are a God who performs miracles, and that Your power knows no limits. We ask, Lord, that You pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us and grant us the ability to see miracles in our lives, just as we see in the Bible. You parted the Red Sea […]

Live the supernatural

Live the supernatural

I see many people questioning why those who don’t follow God prosper, while others who do, encounter afflictions. But that’s simply the nature of life. Natural cycle “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” 2 Corinthians 9:6 Whoever walks without God experiences what is natural. There is planting, rain, and then the harvest, as this is the normal cycle of things. And amidst all this, there are the consequences of your mistakes. We who live with God experience the supernatural daily. We witness miracles and events that can only exist in Him, which clearly demonstrate the presence of God and His hand in everything. Those who walk far from the Father only experience the natural, the obvious, and the expected cycle. But those who live for the Kingdom also need to understand that this does not provide an antidote to the bad things that happen. Battles exist, whether they are necessary for our growth or those in which we get involved due to wrong choices along the way. But achievements exist too, those of our own work and those that the Lord grants us. He promises to be with us […]

Rebuild the altar

Rebuild the altar

God is calling you to rebuild your story. He not only wants you to appear healed and renewed on the outside, but He desires a genuine transformation from within. He needs to flow in you for something to flow through you, through His hands. Build an altar to Him in your heart, and witness the Lord moving everything else. Restoring the connection “Despite their fear of the peoples around them, they built the altar on its foundation and sacrificed burnt offerings on it to the Lord, both the morning and evening sacrifices.” Ezra 3:3 If the altar is the first step in reconstructing your story, there will be no difficulty in building everything else. In the biblical context, the altar was a place of encounter with God, where sacrifices were offered as expressions of devotion, lament, and surrender. Rebuilding starting at the altar implies restoring connection and intimacy with the Lord first and foremost, placing Him at the center of our lives, and prioritizing our relationship with Him. After the people returned from exile in Babylon, the first thing they did in the reconstruction was to build the altar. They offered sacrifices and surrendered everything they had to God, seeking His presence […]

Get out of the boat!

Get out of the boat!

When we hear the word “worship,” one of the first things that comes to mind is music, praising in songs. But it’s not just that. We can worship Him in songs and melodies, but worship is a lifestyle and holds a much deeper meaning. We need to worship Him beyond the comfort of the boat. Complete delivery The first mention of the word “worship” is found in Genesis 22, verse 5, where God instructs Abraham to take his only son, Isaac, to offer him as a sacrifice: “He said to his servants, ‘Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.” This initial mention of “worship” was associated with an offering, not a song. To worship means to be in complete devotion. This absolute surrender can occur through a song, but it is also evident in our decisions, the steps we take, the way we speak, act, and love. We can engage in various activities, but what characterizes an action as worship is the act of surrender. When we give something to the Lord, pour out everything at His feet, and submit it to His […]

Prayer: Liberation

I invite you to join me in prayer today, seeking deliverance and the true freedom that comes from God. Our Father desires our hearts to be free from guilt, remorse, and the shackles of sin. Life with the Lord leads us to a healthy fear of Him, which, in turn, guides us to obey His will. Let not the weight of sin and guilt keep you at a distance from Him, preventing you from recognizing the intricate details of His work in your life. Keep in mind that you don’t have to follow my words precisely in prayer. Each person has their unique way of communing with the Father, and it’s crucial that we individually strive for intimacy with Him. So, feel free to speak to the Lord in your own manner. However, if you’d like, I’d be delighted to join you in this prayer. PRAYER God, thank you for never giving up on me. Despite my mistakes, Your love persists, and Your arms remain open to welcome me back. Open my eyes to see Your wonders and continuous blessings in every detail of my days. I want to avoid the risk of complaining about something that You, Lord, did […]

Overcoming

Overcoming

I have a special affection for the story of Joseph. It speaks about overcoming, forgiveness, perseverance, dreams, and faith. Joseph suffered physically and psychologically. He was emotionally wounded, saw bonds being broken in all his relationships, and experienced God’s silence for a while. But in every moment, he remained steadfast in his faith and held onto his hope in the promises of the Lord. Focus on What’s to come “…Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,” Philippians 3:13 I don’t know if it happens the same for you, but when the end of the year approaches, I feel the need for overcoming. Overcoming the bad things that happened, learning from the difficulties, and leaving them behind, looking forward to the sense of renewal that a new year brings. At this time, I always remember the story of Joseph, which teaches a lot about overcoming, that is, about leaving the past behind and striving to achieve every dream we have. After everything Joseph went through, he was elevated to a position of great influence and power in Egypt, becoming an instrument to save his people from famine. The one who experienced hunger, poverty, forgetfulness, sadness, and the feeling of […]

The sign of return

The Bible is full of details, and the more we study and get to know it, the more we realize those that make all the difference. Today, I want to talk about the death of Jesus and how the tomb was left when the promise is fulfilled. Folding the cloth When Jesus died, a cloth was placed over his face at the time of burial. In John 20:7, we can see that the cloth was not just left aside when He rose, as all the cloths were left in the tomb: “…while the cloth that had covered Jesus’ head was folded up and lying apart from the other wrappings.“ At that time, while the master was eating, the servant would stay out of his sight. When he finished, he would crumple the cloth and set it aside, which meant the servant could clear the table, as the master would not return. If the master got up but, before doing so, folded the cloth, it meant he would come back, and the servant should wait for him. Other studies also suggest that if a man went to eat at the house of his intended bride’s family and folded the cloth when […]

Prayer: Focused on the miracle

Prayer: Focused on the miracle

In the last text I talked about some small miracles in our days that we let go unnoticed because we are focused on other situations, waiting for big signs while God does small things every day. Today I want to use this space to pray together for open eyes and a vision focused on the Father and His small and great wonders. Focused on the small and powerful clouds of the Lord that bring renewing rains. Remembering that you don’t need to pray exactly as I’m going to write here. Each one has a specific way of talking to God and it is important to have our intimacy with Him. I want you to be comfortable talking to the Lord in His way. But if you want, I will be happy to accompany you in this prayer. PRAYER Father, I want to thank You today for Your daily and wonderful actions. From the small details to those actions that easily catch our attention and make our eyes shine. May my vision be focused on each of these events. I want to have my eyes open to contemplate everything the You do and worship You from the small cloud to the […]

Unnoticed Miracles

Unnoticed Miracles

Even though I am a very observant person who pays attention to the smallest details, there are times when I let events go unnoticed. When it seems like we’ve been stagnant for a long time and that our life is stuck in the same place, it means we need to pay more attention to something. There may be miracles that are not receiving due attention. Grains that become beaches “Go and look toward the sea,’ he told his servant. And he went up and looked. ‘There is nothing there,’ he said. Seven times Elijah said, ‘Go back.” 1 Kings 18:43-45 Guimarães Rosa, a Brazilian poet, one day wrote a sentence that really impacted me: “When nothing happens, there is a miracle that we are not seeing.” If for a year you’ve felt like your life is going nowhere, you’re definitely not paying attention to small miracles every day. God is always doing. On some days something big, which easily captures our attention, and on other days small grains of sand that gradually fill in and form a large beach. Small miracles deserve our attention and gratitude. God doesn’t just do what you can see from miles away. But also things […]

How does the glory reveal itself?

How does the glory reveal itself?

Anyone who has never tried to take control out of God’s hands should throw the first stone… I often thought that my way was better and closed my ears to what He had to say to me. I closed my eyes to His ways and followed a direction that I invented and judged to be sensible. In some moments when I decided for myself and for myself, everything worked out right away. But then I saw everything falling apart, becoming almost impossible to hold. He’s not like us “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18 If miracles happened as we imagine and according to our dynamics of faith, those miracles we see in the Bible would be different and much less impactful. This is because often, in our prayers, we plead for deliverance, and not for more structure and strength to face a given situation. But the glory of God is revealed in the midst of trials. We would not recognize the Father’s grace if it were equal to our thoughts and actions. We would easily think that a certain event occurred due to our strength […]

Purified by the storm

Purified by the storm

Rain is also seen as purification. I know that sometimes we see it as something that causes dirt and often gets in our way. At many times we see storms as a delay in our day, and I know that it can really be difficult to get through them. But they are also a way of purifying. Rains are necessary “Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime. It is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone” Zechariah 10:1 You’ve probably been through a time when it hasn’t rained for a while. The air becomes dry, at times it is difficult to breathe, the heat intensifies and crops are damaged. After a while without rain, when it finally rains, breathing becomes better, the streets are clean, the plants grow more easily…Physiologically we need this moisture and cleanliness. As frustrating as it is to get ready to go out and get your shoes wet in unexpected rain, the pleasure and purification that this rain brings makes it worth it later. Rains are inevitable “Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent […]

How do you feel inside?

How do you feel inside?

The problem is not that there is chaos around you, as you need to focus on what is happening inside you. God is much more concerned about how you are than how things around you are… He’s in us… “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 In Acts 16 we see the story of when Paul was arrested. He was in captivity, but Paul’s inside was at peace and that set him free. In the story of Mark 4, when the storm hits, Jesus was at peace within and the storm stoped. Their states of mind, the feeling of peace within them coming from God changed the environment. What is within us has enough power to transform everything around us, it is not the other way around… When we fear the Lord, prosperity and peace accompany us wherever we are. Even if the environment calls you to make mistakes, to sin, to lie, to steal… If your principles are well established and your interior is at peace in Him, the environment is changed, not you. 1st step: Obedience “We must […]

All spiritual blessings

All spiritual blessings

“All spiritual blessings,” as written in Ephesians 1:3, is a way of describing the abundant blessings received from the Lord. They are divine favors. This term is linked to the favor and grace of God manifested in our lives. It is not something received on merit or at random. The essence of this term “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” Ephesians 1:3 Many times our mind refers the word “blessing” to something material. Like money, house, car… But God blesses us from the material to the immaterial. He blesses us spiritually and emotionally. He gives us health, family, relationships, spiritual growth, peace and resources. Receiving all spiritual blessings does not exempt us from challenges. Trials exist and difficulties can arise in some areas, even as they coexist with blessings in other aspects of our lives. The point here is that He has already blessed us and we can rely on God’s love and faithfulness in all circumstances and at all times. This awareness of God’s presence and care in our lives is sharpened as we develop intimacy with Him, not whether we […]

The power of prayer

The power of prayer

I have watched some sermons and read a lot about the power of prayer. Unfortunately we often forget about this. We have access to such a powerful tool. Our first step should always be to pray, but often, in the face of situations, we leave prayer for last. Prayer makes things possible “So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him. The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. ‘Quick, get up!’ he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.” Acts 12:5-7 Last Friday I brought the story of Peter’s arrest and the church’s fervent prayer for his release. The text in Acts 2 says he was in prison between two guards and bound with chains. There was no way he could get away from there, much less get out unnoticed. But while he was in that difficult situation, the church prayed to God for a miracle to be done. Then […]

Forged by fire

In the book of Daniel there are 2 very important passages, in chapters 3 and 6. One of them talks about when 3 men were thrown into a blazing furnace and the other talks about Daniel being thrown into a den of lions. The stories are different, but there is something in common in them that caught my attention… There was a 4th man “Now when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, if you are ready to fall down and worship the image I made, very good. But if you do not worship it, you will be thrown immediately into a blazing furnace. Then what god will be able to rescue you from my hand?” Daniel 3:15 In the passage of Daniel 3, King Nebuchadnezzar commanded that nations and peoples of all languages should prostrate themselves before the golden image that he had set up, when they heard the sound of the instruments. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did not prostrate themselves before that image, for there was only one God whom they worshiped. Even knowing the risk they were taking, they didn’t go against their faith at any time. On the […]

Scars are Stories

In times when we go through turmoil, if our minds are not connected to the Father, they will make us believe that we will be known by our pains. But that’s not what He promised us. Tagged “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.“ 1 Peter 2:9 “Is the glass half empty or half full?” Do you know this phrase? You can focus on your pain and you have complete freedom to do that, although it is a bad path to choose. Such decision can stop you and lead you to a place of stagnation. That’s not what God called you for. The situations He allows us to go through are not to stop us, but are to mark us. And that doesn’t mean that we will be marked by pain, but by a victorious passage through difficult times. Pointing to a miracle When Jesus was resurrected, He didn’t come back unscathed. His hands still had the nail marks. Christ went to meet His disciples when Thomas was not there. So the disciples told Thomas that Jesus had […]

Have you been focusing on death or resurrection?

At Easter time we remember how loved we were by God, who sent His own Son to suffer and die for our sins. The sacrifice of an immaculate lamb that cleansed us and made us the Father’s family. But what about in our day-to-day life? Have we been focusing on the resurrection? The lost “At noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’)“ Mark 15:33-34 It’s beautiful how Jesus gave Himself for so many people who didn’t deserve even a drop of His sweat. The sixth shows us this pain and makes us recognize His sacrifice. But when we focus only on her, losing hope is inevitable. People who loved Jesus suffered with Him, saw the Man they trusted and followed being killed in a cruel way. We humans know that death is the end here on earth. The people who were close to Him thought they would never again see the One who “was” the promise. In our lifetime, in the midst of what seems like death, finding hope for […]

Sin does not stop the miracle

The Bible often has that part that we almost always skip when reading: the long and neglected genealogy. I understand why we skip. There are many names and that gives that feeling of wasting time in our devotional. But today I want to show you something very special. Everything has a reason “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness“. 2 Timothy 3:16 Everything in the Bible has meaning and importance. God doesn’t do anything for nothing, without purpose and that doesn’t carry a special message. Understanding where we came from and the path we took to a certain place teaches us to be grateful for where we are in the present and also to be hopeful about where we will go. Even if the walk was not made with 100% beautiful steps and only correct choices. An imperfect lineage “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope“. Romans 15:4 The genealogy of Jesus is presented in two ways: by Matthew, beginning with Abraham, and by Luke, who tells it from Adam. Regardless […]

Have you been a disciple or one of the crowd?

In the stories of Jesus we see several miracles happening wherever He went. But what most calls my attention in them is where the focus of each character was in the face of everything that happened. We can compare it to our focus on situations these days. The crowd seeks the miracle “And the people all tried to touch Him, because power was coming from Him and healing them all” Luke 6:19 The crowd followed Jesus for His works, often craving what He could offer rather than who He was. After the healings and miracles it was possible to see people worshiping Him with greater vehemence. It always leads me to think that I too am often the crowd. Who asks, begs and hopes for a miracle, but who only has that as a goal. We seek God many times for what He can do for us, and we forget to seek Him just because He is God, our Father. The Master for the crowd was often an attraction. The disciple seeks Jesus “Many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. ‘You do not want to leave too, do you?’, Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, ;Lord, to […]
