Prayer: Focused on the miracle

In the last text I talked about some small miracles in our days that we let go unnoticed because we are focused on other situations, waiting for big signs while God does small things every day.

Today I want to use this space to pray together for open eyes and a vision focused on the Father and His small and great wonders. Focused on the small and powerful clouds of the Lord that bring renewing rains.

Remembering that you don’t need to pray exactly as I’m going to write here. Each one has a specific way of talking to God and it is important to have our intimacy with Him. I want you to be comfortable talking to the Lord in His way. But if you want, I will be happy to accompany you in this prayer.

PRAYER

Father, I want to thank You today for Your daily and wonderful actions. From the small details to those actions that easily catch our attention and make our eyes shine. May my vision be focused on each of these events.

I want to have my eyes open to contemplate everything the You do and worship You from the small cloud to the big rain. I don’t want to wait for great wonders, I want to know how to be grateful for each of the small miracles. Make me perceive You in every breath, in every step and action. Be present in my life at all times and guide me towards what You, Lord, dreams for my life.

Everything You do, regardless of how big my eyes measure it, is great and magnificent. I want to learn and know how to see Your power in every detail.

Lord, minister to my heart and may my spirit be so close to You in relationship, that I can easily distinguish Your movement upon me.

Remove the blindfolds from my eyes and make my ears attentive to Your voice. That in those moments when I can’t see You, I can listen. And when it’s time to stop listening, may I feel You in the storm or in the gentle breeze.

It is in the mighty name of Jesus that I pray to You, Father. Amen!

The right place

Throughout life, we are constantly called to make choices. Some seem obvious, attractive, and full of opportunities. Others require faith, patience, and trust in God. The problem is that not everything that looks good to our eyes is truly what is best for our future. The Bible shows us this through the story of Abraham and Lot, a narrative that remains extremely relevant for everyone who desires to live according to God’s will. Appearances can be deceiving “Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.)” Genesis 13:10 There came a time when Abraham’s and Lot’s flocks had grown so much that the land could no longer support them together. To avoid conflict, Abraham proposed that they separate and gave Lot the opportunity to choose first where he would go. Lot saw a place that, from a human perspective, seemed like the perfect choice. The plain was fertile, abundant, and promising. Everything pointed to prosperity. But Lot evaluated only what he could see. He observed the appearance of the land but ignored […]

Prayer: Running from religious fear

Prayer: Running from religious fear

In the previous text, we talked a little about religious OCD and how it takes our focus away from what Christ truly expects from us. Today, I want to invite you to pray with me about this subject, so that we may feel free in the Father’s presence, seeking Him with love, gratitude, and true peace. You do not need to pray exactly as I will write here. Open your heart genuinely to God. But it will be a pleasure to accompany you in this moment of prayer and seeking. Prayer Father, I know that many times my mind is filled with fear, guilt, and thoughts that steal the peace of my faith. I know that You do not want me to live imprisoned by spiritual anxiety, constantly trying to earn a love that was already given to me on the cross. Teach me to rest in You and to remember that Your love is not sustained by my performance, but by Your infinite grace. When intrusive thoughts come, when the fear of condemnation tries to dominate my heart, and when I feel spiritually overwhelmed, help me remember Your truth. Your Word says that I was not given a spirit […]
