Purified by the storm
Rain is also seen as purification.
I know that sometimes we see it as something that causes dirt and often gets in our way. At many times we see storms as a delay in our day, and I know that it can really be difficult to get through them. But they are also a way of purifying.
Rains are necessary
“Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime. It is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone”
You’ve probably been through a time when it hasn’t rained for a while.
The air becomes dry, at times it is difficult to breathe, the heat intensifies and crops are damaged.
After a while without rain, when it finally rains, breathing becomes better, the streets are clean, the plants grow more easily…Physiologically we need this moisture and cleanliness.
As frustrating as it is to get ready to go out and get your shoes wet in unexpected rain, the pleasure and purification that this rain brings makes it worth it later.
Rains are inevitable
“Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground.”
Genesis 2:5
The lack of rain prevents birth, growth and cleaning, in other words, it makes many processes stagnate.
Whether we are close to God or not, we go through storms and difficult times. The difference is that, close to the Father, we learn from these moments, being shaped, and strengthened by Him. When we are in Him we keep the joy of God in our hearts even in the midst of struggles, which gives us hope to continue and take each step as a lesson for life.
At all times in the Bible, God did not answer prayers with the absence of difficulties, but by giving free access to His strength and presence, covering with love and grace those who prayed and cried out to Him.

Rains clear the path
“If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit.”
Leviticus 26:3-4
If I am going through a storm that the Lord sent for me to learn something and grow, it will only end when I am taught by Him. And to learn, I need to have my eyes and ears open and attentive to hear His voice.
Rain teaches us and purifies us. He will use the storms to make us learn and have our paths clean and washed. Purifying, renewing, giving new air and an open sky to see more clearly after the storm.
Just as He sends the rain at the right time, He also knows the right time to stop it.
Don’t complain because it’s raining. Instead, open the umbrella, protect yourself from the strong wind and pay attention to each step to stay firmly on the correct path.
When we are clear about where we want to go, no amount of rain or wet shoes can take us off the right path.
