A year of victory!

A year of victory!

We are on the fourth day of the year 2021, which is just beginning. Well, one of the most beautiful things for me at this time is to see how everyone fills up with hope, a few weeks ago I wrote here in one of the blog texts about how and important it is that this hope is not only kept in the time of parties, but that we carry it all year long. This is because we serve a God who is hope itself.

Over the past year I’ve heard many pastors saying that this would be a special year for the people of God, of many victories and I really don’t doubt it at all. I don’t know if you noticed the same thing, but I saw many people returning to Jesus last year, choosing baptism and having their lives transformed, which is already a victory.

The True Victory

With this, I believe that 2020 has been a year of preparation, but the preparation does not last only a year when we are God’s people, but a whole life, because our victory is in heaven, it is on high. The true victory is the one we have in our Lord, because what comes from him is good and complete.

The fact that our victory is in heaven does not mean that we will not win battles here on earth, in fact, Christ came to the world exactly to bring victory over our sin and as it is written in John 16:33, in the world we will have afflictions, but our savior has already overcome him, freeing us and in him, we are more than winners.

So if you have Christ already and a victorious person, but as we know well accept Jesus as our savior implies to walk with Him and as in every relationship, care is needed.

How to have a year of victory?

Having salvation is already a victory, but God also wants us to be victorious in our daily lives and for that three things are essential. The first is to have done, in 1 John 5:4-5, it is written that what is born of God overcomes the world, therefore he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God overcomes the world. When the world attacks us with difficulties, Jesus helps us overcome them, but we must believe in it.

The second point is that we must be faithful. In Revelation 2:10, it is written that we must be faithful until death, and then we will receive the crown of life. Some difficulties may last longer than we imagined, but if we remain steadfast and faithful to God, he will give victory. So do not compromise your faith and remember that the Lord will never abandon you.

And the third and last point is that we must do good. Many times we are in a battle that involves another person and the world teaches that victory is achieved with vengeance, violence and cruelty, however, the Bible teaches that victory is achieved by doing good, even for those who do us harm. We must remember that our fight is not against flesh, but against the enemy and his tricks. As it is written in Romans 12:21, we must not let ourselves be overcome by evil, but we must overcome evil with good.

Conclusion

A victorious year is a year in God’s presence, where we seek to be perfected in his love. So, invest time in your relationship with God, read the bible, pray, because this is how we prepare ourselves to win battles and achieve victory.

God bless you!
