5 essential tips to evangelize

In this time of so much bad news, when people are suffering or anxious, you can share the good news of the gospel. Let’s take this opportunity to spread the love of Jesus Christ.

1. Pray first before everything

Think about the person you would like to evangelize and pray for them. I recommend that you pray for 1 month, breaking all difficulties that may prevent that person from receiving the gospel of Jesus. Continue in prayer also during the time you are discipling her, as there is a spiritual battle.

2. Be a true friend

Be a true friend of the person you want to evangelize. Always be helpful and available. And, of course, this will need to be true in your life. Show Jesus’ love with sincerity. In practice, be helpful, invite the person to a coffee, call him.

3. Don’t use difficult words

Always be approachable when speaking and avoid difficult words, as they may move away instead of approaching. Avoid silly discussions and unnecessary confrontations. Jesus does not need to be defended, he needs to be introduced. Try to present Jesus through the Bible, because when He is well presented, He is simply irresistible.

4. Study the Bible

Each person has an understanding of the gospel readings, but there are hermetic meanings that only those who study in depth know. The Bible is more than a lot of verses that need to be memorized, it is a master book that tells the stories of how Jesus went on earth. Having a clear understanding of these books is the first step in properly evangelizing.

5. Share your testimony

Few things are as powerful as your testimony when it comes to evangelizing someone. If you never thought about it before, write it down on paper as you met Jesus. The apostle Peter, who learned to evangelize with Christ himself, said in 1 Peter 3: 15-16: having a good conscience, so that when they speak ill of you, as of evildoers, those who blaspheme your good behavior in Christ are confused ”.

God doesn’t speak to me

…Really? Many people carry in their hearts the feeling that God is distant or silent. They pray, wait for answers, try to move forward, but seem to hear nothing coming from heaven. Yet, perhaps the problem isn’t the absence of God’s voice, but the excess of noise within us. We live at a fast pace, surrounded by distractions, worries, and a routine that never slows down. And, in the midst of this confusion, we still say that God is too quiet. The truth is that God continues to speak. He continues to guide, teach, and call His children closer. But often, we are too busy to perceive His voice. Inner noise “After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.” 1 Kings 19:12 We live in a generation that hardly ever stops. We wake up thinking about commitments, we go to sleep worried about tomorrow, and we spend the whole day consuming information. The mind never rests. The heart is never silent. Between work, studies, bills, social media, projects, and anxiety, we fill our souls with noise. Then, we look to the sky and ask, “Why doesn’t […]
