Prayer: On our knees to reach

God, I thank You for the freedom I have to know Your Word, to open the Scriptures, to hear about You, and to share the Gospel. I know that I often treat this privilege as something common, but today I want to recognize how precious it is. Lead me to places where Your Word encounters closed doors. May I not remain indifferent in the face of barriers that try to prevent Your Word from acting.

Draw near to us and make Your Church one body. May the pain of a brother also find space in my heart, and may the need of someone I do not even know lead me to prayer. Teach me to understand that the mission of the Gospel belongs to us all, and everyone needs to hear it. Where there is someone announcing Your name, may I rejoice; where there is someone suffering because of the faith, may I intercede; where there is someone prevented from hearing, may I not be silent.

Lord, give me courage to use the freedom I have received. I do not want to be silent. Do not allow me to waste opportunities while there are people who desire what I so often have within my reach so easily. May my relationships, my family, my church, my work, and all the places where I am become spaces where Christ is known and where Your Word can reach other hearts.

When my hands cannot reach a certain place, teach me to put my knees on the ground. I want to intercede for those who still cannot freely access Your Word, for the Christians who remain firm amidst difficulties, and for those who perhaps are looking for You without even knowing where to find You. Open doors that no man can close and sustain those who announce the Gospel. May our prayers cross what our feet cannot cross, and may our communion not be limited by distance.

Jesus, gather Your people around the same mission and the same love. May we not be a Church indifferent to closed doors, but a Church that prays, serves, announces, and remains on its knees. When I remember those who do not have the same freedom that I have, may this not produce only sadness in me, but also responsibility and intercession. Use my life so that other people may know Your grace, and make me part of a Church that walks united until all nations can hear about You. And, when our feet cannot arrive, may our knees remain on the ground and our hearts remain united in You. Amen.

Prayer: He is here!

Lord, I acknowledge that there are pains I cannot explain and questions for which I may never find an answer. But, in the midst of everything I do not understand, I want to remember that I was not created to walk alone. Draw near to me and also to those around me. May Your presence be at the center of my relationships so that, even when life seems difficult, I may find in the fellowship of my brothers and sisters a place of welcome, care, and hope.
