How are you in this quarantine period: happy or sad? What kind of news and content have you being consuming? Where have you been looking for happiness?
In the midst of the crisis we are experiencing, we consume negative content, such as news about deaths, fake news, economy in crisis and many other things! But we must not let that shake us!
Let’s talk about it?
Contaminated by Bad News
In this period of contamination with the covid-19 virus, we end up letting our minds be contaminated with the amount of information and sad news that we receive.
Such contamination can be devastating in our lives, as it shakes our minds and, consequently, there is a great possibility of shaking our spiritual lives. But we cannot let that happen to us or to those around us.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.””
Joshua 1: 9
To keep our minds from being filled with sadness, fear and anguish, we need to hold on to God and put everything we are and have in His hands! Let us delight and rejoice in Him! We need to take root in the Word and get closer to Him!
Christ is the Good News
““I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”“
John 16:33
Christ warned us that we would experience difficulties during our lives, but He proved to be a Safe Harbor for all of us. For if we have Him with us, we can, through the power of God in us and not by our strength, overcome the world.
Even though he suffered everything he suffered and went through everything he went through, Jesus always remained meek, calm, loving and gracious.
So, so be it in our lives. May we not let the news shake us or let fear take over our minds. We must rejoice and maintain faith in God.
After all, we always have reasons to thank our Father. Even in times of trials and difficulties, He continues to take care of us and teach us.
Challenge for this Easter:
Easter is the celebration of the life of Christ, for He died for us and rose again. Is there any better news than that? So, here is our challenge: tell good news and share Jesus to at least 3 people!
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.“
Philippians 4: 8
Think about what pleases God and spread it out to people! Feed your mind with good things that come from the Lord.
Rejoice, for God is at your side! And don’t let those you love get lost in the midst of sadness, but let the joy of Christ in you be shared to more people.
