Prayer: Forgiveness and Love

In the last texts we talked about forgiveness and perfect love. Although we’ve talked about the two separately, forgiveness and perfect love always go together. God’s love is full of mercy and grace, so we have the Father’s forgiveness at all times. Today I want to use this space to pray for forgiveness and love. I invite you to pray with me so that we can learn from the heart of God. Remembering that you don’t have to pray exactly as it is written here. Everyone has their own way of talking to the Father. Please feel free to pray as you wish and if you wish, I will be happy to accompany you in this prayer time. Prayer “Lord, Your heart teaches me so much! Your steps minister and illuminate mine. Mold my heart to be like Yours. May I in all my days remember the walk of Your Son Jesus, which was full of wisdom and full discernment of Yours word. Where does forgiveness live

I want to talk to you today about the power of forgiveness and reconciliation. That’s how God demonstrated on the cross how he loves us. He calls us to act in this way towards one another as well. What have you valued? “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” Matthew 6:14 In this passage from Matthew 6 Jesus teaches us about the importance of releasing forgiveness. He underscores in that sentence how the forgiveness we offer others is linked to the forgiveness we receive from Him. Forgiveness shouldn’t be a choice for us, it should already be one of our foundations. When we offer forgiveness we can experience the fullness of the Father’s forgiveness. We are not perfect, we all make mistakes at some point. We are often inflexible. When we demand of the people around us that they be perfect, we seem to erase from our minds the fact that we fail too. Knowing True Love

Here in Brazil, June is Valentine’s month. Dating is the initial step towards one day having a marriage and building a family, which is the greatest ministry. Love is something that needs to be watered and taken care of. Once it exists, it is necessary that we work to keep it firm and grounded. Loving like Christ “Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ… For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, His body, of which He is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word.” Ephesians 5:21-26 Bible shows how to keep love firm and grounded: Loving as Christ loved the church. Access to salvation

The word says that we must confess our sins and that, through this, He forgives us. But if He already knows everything before we even speak, why do we need to say? He has the password “According to His eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” Ephesians 3:11-12 Salvation has been offered to us, but grasping it is in our hands. Jesus died for us and we now have full access to God, but if there is no movement from us, we are not saved. We need to receive Jesus! Do you know what I mean? It works for other areas as well. God won’t do anything if we don’t want to and if we don’t hand it over to Him. I look at all of this like a bank account. Imagine that someone deposited a very high amount in an account that you don’t have access to, because you lost your password. Prayer: Cleanse me Lord

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:9 We are human beings, full of sins. The Word itself says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23). We are in need of the Lord’s forgiveness. And for that we need to repent. Today, I invite you to pray with me, asking the Lord to purify our hearts from any and all sins. Remembering that you don’t need to pray exactly as I wrote here, because everyone has their own way of talking to the Father. But if you want, I’ll be happy to accompany you. Prayer for forgiveness

Every relationship has a risk, as the people who go through our lives can hurt us or generate some kind of mark on our hearts. Just as we too will surely fail someone at some point. Glad there is forgiveness and reconciliation. However, we often find it difficult to forgive and we carry resentments with us. But today the Lord invites you to change that situation. Let’s pray together in this regard! Remembering that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m going to leave it here, because each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord.
