Take Risks!

Take Risks!

“It is only fair that much costs what is worth much”. This phrase is one of my favorites. I heard it from a writer that I admire a lot and it was forever in my heart.

Many times we want something so badly, and we make it too valuable for us. We ended up marveling at the idea of arriving at this place, forgetting that the path we have to walk to it requires a responsibility on our part.

Come out of the shadow

“You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did”

James 2:20-22

A lot of passion doesn’t get you anywhere, it needs to be filled with strategy and action. And the answer to that comes from above.

When we don’t leave the place and don’t take the risks that come with what we want, we also don’t get anywhere and here comes the monotony and frustration, making us believe that God has abandoned us.

Trusting in God’s hands is also acting through His will. It’s not just listening, getting a juice and sitting in the shade, waiting for God to do everything.

If something is worth a lot to you, it is right that it also costs you a lot.

Make space in your hands

“It teaches us to say ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives  in this present age

Titus 2:12

This writer who led me to that sentence said it through the maternal image. She had just had her daughter and always shared on social media how good it was, but also how difficult it was.

Because being a mother to her is very valuable, but it also cost so many other areas of her life at specific times. Choosing to hold on to something is also, inevitably, to let go of something else.

If your hands are full of things that don’t really matter, there may not be room left in them to hold what would be most precious.

Salvation is the most valuable thing we receive from God, but it cost the Son’s life so that the Father could pour out this truth on us.

The pleasure of moving

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me”

Matthew 16:24

Have you been taking the risks and pains of what you’ve been dreaming about?

Often what is missing to get to this place is to understand that the cost of that is not something comfortable to pay. Every place that we don’t know yet, will not be comfortable at first, but it carries with it the pleasure of moving, of leaving what has already been and heading towards what will be, entrusting each step to the One who promised us.

Because it’s fair that the place where you dream of being costs an absence in the soft place of your sofa.

We graduated from the Google Play Apps Accelerator 2026

We believe that technology and faith can walk hand in hand. This conviction has driven us since the very first day of the JFA Bible, and over the past few months it has led us to experience one of the most remarkable chapters in our history: we graduated with our new Bible AI app as part of the first global cohort of the Google Play Apps Accelerator 2026. We want to share with you not only the outcome, but also the behind-the-scenes journey of everything that happened. The invitation that changed our year At the end of 2025, Google launched the first edition of the Google Play Apps Accelerator, a pioneering global program that selected only 38 high-potential apps from around the world. Among them, only two were Brazilian, and Bible AI was one of them. We received the news with a mix of joy and gratitude. 12 weeks of the program During twelve intensive weeks, we immersed ourselves in masterclasses led by leaders in the global tech industry, one-on-one mentoring sessions covering everything from technical scalability to leadership, and exclusive conversations with experts from Google and some of the world’s largest technology companies. Every session helped us think bigger, […]

Prayer: Running from religious fear

In the previous text, we talked a little about religious OCD and how it takes our focus away from what Christ truly expects from us. Today, I want to invite you to pray with me about this subject, so that we may feel free in the Father’s presence, seeking Him with love, gratitude, and true peace. You do not need to pray exactly as I will write here. Open your heart genuinely to God. But it will be a pleasure to accompany you in this moment of prayer and seeking. Prayer Father, I know that many times my mind is filled with fear, guilt, and thoughts that steal the peace of my faith. I know that You do not want me to live imprisoned by spiritual anxiety, constantly trying to earn a love that was already given to me on the cross. Teach me to rest in You and to remember that Your love is not sustained by my performance, but by Your infinite grace. When intrusive thoughts come, when the fear of condemnation tries to dominate my heart, and when I feel spiritually overwhelmed, help me remember Your truth. Your Word says that I was not given a spirit […]
