Today we will pray for constancy, so necessary in our lives, because without it we won’t build anything, nor will we get anywhere. In the Bible we find countless stories of people who, through constancy, took their relationship with God to another level and were used by our Lord.
Being a fickle person leads to frustration for never building anything you want, not to mention that this bad feature can lead someone to a divorce or the loss of a job, maybe you have been that way until today, but it’s ok, because I know that with the help of the Holy Spirit, you can change that in your life.
Thinking about it, we will pray for constancy to be part of our lives. I leave here a passage especially for you today:
May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
2 Thessalonians 3:5
Remembering that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I will leave it here, because each of us has a specific way to communicate with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak your way.
Prayer
Dear God, I want to thank you for your great love, for leaving your Holy Spirit on earth and for dwelling in me. Sometimes I cannot find words to thank you for everything you have done, but now I thank you for my health, family and work. Thank you for taking care of me in every detail, for your sovereignty, majesty and faithfulness.
Today I pray to You, asking You to help me to be a more constant person, I know that sometimes I give up my new projects easily. I don’t want to be like the straw that easily catches fire, but soon goes out. I want to be constant, build solid relationships, persevere in everything I need, remembering that I have the Lord at my side, who holds my hand.
I ask forgiveness for the times when I have been fickle and for all the evil this may have caused, that the Holy Spirit helps me, probing me and showing me what I can change. God, guide me along the right path and give me the wisdom to see what comes from You and what can take me away from His will.
I pray for constancy in my words, thoughts and attitudes. I know I have failed many times already, but I want to change and especially to have a deeper relationship with You. My God, Yours is the power, the glory and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words come like a sweet perfume to the Lord!
Prayer of a mere servant of God
God bless you!
