“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I will place my Spirit within you and cause you to follow my statutes and carefully observe my ordinances.”
Ezekiel 36:26-27
We have lived in times when hearts have hardened. Recently I was in the intercession room before a service and a brother started to pray saying “Forgive the ‘nos’ that you Lord will hear today”.
I immediately remembered the passage at the beginning of the text, and I would like to pray with you about it, so that the hearts of stone become hearts of flesh.
Remembering that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m going to leave it here, because each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure. Feel free to speak your own way.
Prayer
“Gracious God, we thank you for this day of life and the opportunity to be in Your presence.
So many people have said “no” to You, have despised You. We cry out for a special touch of the Holy Spirit, who is the one who convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment.
Come, Holy Spirit. Turn the heart of stone into a heart of flesh. Come with Your fire and melt the frozen hearts. Transform our lives and those around us. May those who still don’t know You feel Your presence right now.
Father, we don’t want to reject You or ignore You in our days. If there is anyone reading this prayer who needs a touch from Your presence, may You Lord visit them in a special way, embracing and welcoming. That today the heart that has been closed for so long can feel You in an intense and real way.
May there be a transformation of lives on that day.
I pray to You, in Jesus’ name,
Amen.”
Grace and peace,
Ana.
