Action or reaction?

Action or reaction?

When we know God, He reveals to us our identity, His ways and His dreams. That way, it becomes much easier for us to surrender control into His hands.

He is our origin

“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them. Male and female he created them.”

Genesis 1:27

When we want to know more about a fish, we need to dive into the sea and understand more about how the sea works. Just studying the fish won’t tell us much.

It’s like that in our lives too. If we want to know more about ourselves, we need to delve into God first and in Him we will find answers. For if we dive within ourselves to find ourselves, we will lose ourselves more and more. We don’t have the answers inside us, they come from our Creator.

Our paths and the steps we take should not be based on our own experiences, but on our origin. That origin is God. It was in Him that we were born even before we came into the world and it is in Him that we exist.

Nothing stops Him

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”

Romans 8:26

What I can do with my strength would not take me as far as God took me. What you can do in your own strength will never get you where God wants to take you. You would not approve yourself to be where the Lord wants you to be.

God’s plans often don’t make sense as we walk. But when we recognize who we are in Him, we will walk with the certainty that, even if we don’t feel empowered, the path He is leading us through will empower us.

When we are in the center of God’s will, if something or someone tries to stop us, they are not just trying to stop us, but to stop GOD. And no one can stop Him, nothing stops a word the Lord has released.

He acts, we react

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Romans 8:28

God is not reacting to your life. He is acting.

Only reacts to a situation that does not have control and needs to solve the unexpected. Surprise brings the need for reaction. At all times God is at work. He has already given you your identity and the essence you have in Him. He also hands you the knowledge of who you will become in Him.

Don’t think that all He is doing is watching and figuring out how to react to what happens. He already knows tomorrow and is acting daily. The Lord is way ahead of us but, knowing that, we shouldn’t run to try to gain control and take it out of His hands.

The more we know His Sovereignty, the more we deliver. We must completely surrender control to the One who has given us identity and strength.

We graduated from the Google Play Apps Accelerator 2026

We believe that technology and faith can walk hand in hand. This conviction has driven us since the very first day of the JFA Bible, and over the past few months it has led us to experience one of the most remarkable chapters in our history: we graduated with our new Bible AI app as part of the first global cohort of the Google Play Apps Accelerator 2026. We want to share with you not only the outcome, but also the behind-the-scenes journey of everything that happened. The invitation that changed our year At the end of 2025, Google launched the first edition of the Google Play Apps Accelerator, a pioneering global program that selected only 38 high-potential apps from around the world. Among them, only two were Brazilian, and Bible AI was one of them. We received the news with a mix of joy and gratitude. 12 weeks of the program During twelve intensive weeks, we immersed ourselves in masterclasses led by leaders in the global tech industry, one-on-one mentoring sessions covering everything from technical scalability to leadership, and exclusive conversations with experts from Google and some of the world’s largest technology companies. Every session helped us think bigger, […]

Prayer: Running from religious fear

Prayer: Running from religious fear

In the previous text, we talked a little about religious OCD and how it takes our focus away from what Christ truly expects from us. Today, I want to invite you to pray with me about this subject, so that we may feel free in the Father’s presence, seeking Him with love, gratitude, and true peace. You do not need to pray exactly as I will write here. Open your heart genuinely to God. But it will be a pleasure to accompany you in this moment of prayer and seeking. Prayer Father, I know that many times my mind is filled with fear, guilt, and thoughts that steal the peace of my faith. I know that You do not want me to live imprisoned by spiritual anxiety, constantly trying to earn a love that was already given to me on the cross. Teach me to rest in You and to remember that Your love is not sustained by my performance, but by Your infinite grace. When intrusive thoughts come, when the fear of condemnation tries to dominate my heart, and when I feel spiritually overwhelmed, help me remember Your truth. Your Word says that I was not given a spirit […]

Google chose us… Here’s why

If you use the Bible JFA app, this news is yours too. For the past 15 years, we’ve built something together that we never imagined would go this far: over 130 million downloads, with 3 million people opening the app every month to read, study, and connect with the Word of God. These numbers aren’t just ours—they belong to every person who opened the app in a difficult moment, who read a verse before going to sleep, and who shared a passage with someone who needed it. To everyone who has trusted our work. It’s this foundation, built with great care and faith, that gives us the courage to now create new tools. Introducing Bible AI Bible AI (B.AI) is our newest app. A personalized Bible study experience powered by artificial intelligence, designed to learn how you study and walk alongside your spiritual journey—always staying faithful to the biblical text while supporting you in a personal and individual way. It is not a replacement for Bible JFA. It’s the next step for those who want to go deeper—to ask questions, follow their devotional time, develop more in-depth studies and sermons, and much more.
