Prayer: I am a beloved child!

Last week we talked a little bit about favoritism and God being things that don’t go together, our Father is just and loves his children equally, and then maybe you ask yourself: why does my brother have this or that, or is better off than me? Does God love the other more than He loves me?

These seemingly harmless questions are doubts planted by the enemy in our minds and hearts, and we can’t let them take root, because soon we will be far from the glory of God, feeling unjust, and that our Father gave his only begotten Son to die for us all. So counter such lies with a single truth: you are a beloved child!

God is no respecter of persons, He loves all His children equally, but each one chooses whether to live in this love. Each one chooses his or her own way, our Father has given us freedom, we have the right to choose to walk by His side in an upright way or not.

The Gospel is not easy, for it demands surrender. Everything is achieved through effort and sacrifice. It is difficult to live like this in a world where everything seems to have lost value, including honor, but know that before us who suffered, was hated and had to face death was Christ, for love of us. So, enough of excuses, stop trying to change God’s pattern, He said that He will give you the strength to overcome all things. Trust that in the right time He will give you what is yours!

I leave here some passages especially for you today:

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

Then Peter opened his mouth and said, “I perceive the truth, that God shows no partiality;
but that he is well pleased with him who fears him in every nation and does what is right.

Acts 10:34-35

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:33

Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.

Prayer

Beloved God, I begin this prayer by breaking the lies cast by the enemy in my mind, for I know that I am loved by You and I want to carry in my heart gratitude for all that You have done and why Your only-begotten Son died for me on a cross, to deliver me from mortal condemnation. I rebuke in Jesus’ name every doubt cast into my heart.

Forgive me for not showing gratitude for all that You do in my life, how many times have I erred against You and still felt entitled to something. I am far from being a perfect son, but I want to do my part and put myself in charge of our relationship, because relationship is a two-way street and I want to walk closer to You.

Lord, I pray declaring blessings on all those dear to me, that these people grow in faith and have all their needs met, I ask the same for myself, Father you know my need, I ask for your action on it, I know you know what is best for me, so let your will be done!

My God, yours is the power, the glory and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words may reach the Lord like a sweet perfume!

Prayer: Purify and restore

Father, today I stand before You, acknowledging my need for the presence of Your Holy Spirit. There are areas of my life that often resemble dry, weary, and barren land. There are times when my faith weakens, my heart becomes heavy, and my soul thirsts for the water that only You can offer. Therefore, I ask You: pour out Your showers of blessing upon me. May Your Spirit renew what is worn out, restore what is broken, and bring life where there is dryness. Just as You promised to pour water upon the thirsty land, I acknowledge my dependence on You. I do not want to seek satisfaction in the fleeting things of this world, but in the inexhaustible source of Your presence. Fill my heart with Your peace, strengthen my faith, and help me remain close to You at all times. May Your Spirit flow through my life like rivers of living water, bringing hope, direction, and renewal to every area that needs Your touch. Holy Spirit, fall upon me like a flood. Invade the places in my heart that I have not yet fully surrendered to the Lord. Wash away my worries, my fears, my insecurities, and everything […]
