Prayer: Guidance for sentimental life!
Are you looking for direction in your emotional life? Then there is no better person to direct you than our good God. He knows what is best for us, what we need, and at what time we need it, so before we seek anyone else we must first seek our Father and He will direct us.
It is in a daily relationship with our Father, that we find our identity and emotional security. Secure people have secure relationships, and this security is in God, for we are His children, and this is the true source of happiness. Remember that a boyfriend, husband or wife will never be able to satisfy you completely.
Another thing is to look for someone with real values, remember that beauty is fleeting! Of course physical attraction is important in a life together. But don’t let someone’s physical beauty stop you from looking inside and looking for qualities that will make a difference in the long run.
Today I want to pray with you that God will give you direction in your love life. That you may find someone with good values, who seeks to please the Lord.
I leave here a passage especially for you today:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not mistreat, it does not seek its own interests, it is not easily angered, it does not hold a grudge. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-5
Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.
Prayer
Beloved God, I thank you for your care, for the security and happiness I find in you, I love to be in your presence and I want to find someone who, like me, also loves your presence. Direct me in the right path, that through the reading of your word more and more I may be a wise and righteous person according to your precepts.
Father, before I find someone, may I find my identity in you and understand what is your purpose for my life. I don’t want to look for someone to satisfy any need, but to add up to me so that together we can grow and have a blessed family, because I know that my needs can only be satisfied in You.
My Lord, may my eyes be open to see, among the people around me, someone with whom I can share my journey and live it in a way that pleases you. I want to live according to Your will for my life. Forgive me for my sins and that day by day I may look more like You. Once again I ask you to guide my sentimental life.
My God, yours is the power, the glory and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words may reach the Lord like a sweet perfume!
