Prayer: Fighting with your knees on the ground!

As it is written in Ephesians 6:12, our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. That is also why our tools and preparation are not like those of this world.

Our struggles and battles require kneeling on the ground, dialogue with our Lord, the One who can do everything and who has the power to change any situation. I don’t know how your home, bank account, pantry, work and relationships are doing, but I do know that prayer, the act of praying together with action, has an incredible power to transform.

So today let’s pray together for our daily struggles for strength, protection and empowerment. I leave here some passages especially for you today:

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but humbly regard others as greater than yourselves.

Philippians 2:3

A man’s pride humbles him, but he of a humble spirit obtains honor.

Proverbs 29:23

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report, if there is anything excellent or worthy of praise, think about these things. Whatever you have learned, received, heard and seen in me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Philippians 4:8,9

Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.

Prayer

Beloved God, I thank you for this day, for your care for me and for those I love. I thank you for your protection and for being a refuge in the midst of every storm. Thank you for being my best friend, my beloved Father, and in whom I trust. Father, I have been facing struggles in some areas of my life that are not easy. In some of those (mention), I don’t even know how to handle, but I know it’s at your feet, on my knees that I find answers.

I want to do my best to work through everything I need to, but it hasn’t been easy, so I ask for your help Lord, help me to deal with each of these struggles in the best way. I ask that you give me strength and enable me to be able to overcome all the wiles of the enemy and after facing this still be standing to give testimony to how great You are.

Father, restore the cheer in my home. I declare that in Christ I have already won every spiritual battle, I declare that my health will be restored, that provision will not be lacking, and that through this experience I can be a testimony and example of hope to others.

My Lord, I ask you to clothe me with your compassion and armor. Rebuke every haughty look, envy, and all that they have wished against me. My God, yours is the power, the glory and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words may reach the Lord like a sweet perfume!

Prayer: Purify and restore

Father, today I stand before You, acknowledging my need for the presence of Your Holy Spirit. There are areas of my life that often resemble dry, weary, and barren land. There are times when my faith weakens, my heart becomes heavy, and my soul thirsts for the water that only You can offer. Therefore, I ask You: pour out Your showers of blessing upon me. May Your Spirit renew what is worn out, restore what is broken, and bring life where there is dryness. Just as You promised to pour water upon the thirsty land, I acknowledge my dependence on You. I do not want to seek satisfaction in the fleeting things of this world, but in the inexhaustible source of Your presence. Fill my heart with Your peace, strengthen my faith, and help me remain close to You at all times. May Your Spirit flow through my life like rivers of living water, bringing hope, direction, and renewal to every area that needs Your touch. Holy Spirit, fall upon me like a flood. Invade the places in my heart that I have not yet fully surrendered to the Lord. Wash away my worries, my fears, my insecurities, and everything […]
