Prayer: Don’t let the enemy deceive you!
You are precious! Repeat… you are precious! So don’t let the enemy fool you, your life is worth a lot and for it a high price was paid on the cross, that you and I might have salvation. I know that life doesn’t always go well and that sometimes nothing seems to have a solution, but I want to tell you today that if you are here it is because God has a purpose for your life and that you will still sing the hymn of victory, because we are already more than victorious in Christ.
You see, depression sneaks into the lives of many, and this is usually through the mind. When someone is in this situation, everything may seem fine on the outside, but still the depressed person feels miserable, with thoughts and feelings of anguish. Use the word of God as your child, for it alone is a sure parameter of what is truth. This is because only the one who created you can declare the right way you should function!
I leave here a passage especially for you today:
For according to the inward man I delight in the law of God; But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my understanding, and binding me under the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then I myself with the mind serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
Romans 7:22-25
The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of wickedness made me afraid. The sorrows of hell compassed me about, and the snares of death took me by surprise. In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God; He heard my voice from His temple; my cry came to His ears before His face. Then the earth shook and trembled; and the foundations of the mountains also shook and trembled, because He was wroth.
Psalm 18:4-7
Remember that you don’t need to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.
Prayer
Beloved God, the last days have not been easy, You know my days and what I have been going through, but I know that in You, I find the strength to go on, because You are bigger than all my problems, bigger than everything in this world and I know that my soul can only find rest in You. So I ask you Father renew my strength that my mind may think of what comes from above and know where to look for true help.
I rebuke in the name of the Lord Jesus every evil thought thrown into my head by the enemy. Father, cover my ears to that which is not from You, I rebuke every mental confusion, the fear, the feeling of insufficiency, because I know that I am a Son and called to live a life of abundance. Your word says that in this world we will have affliction, but Christ has already won for us on the cross!
My Father, forgive me for the things I have thought and spoken in moments of despair and fear, that every day I may seek more and more for your truth, for refreshment in the right source, which is your word! I love You very much and, I only want to listen to You, may I know how to discern the thoughts that come from the Lord and those that are lies cast by the enemy.
My God, Yours is the power, the glory and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words may reach You like a sweet perfume!
