Have you been grateful?

Have you been grateful?

When a new year begins, we always look for dreams in the drawer to put them into action during the new months and not let them stand still. And filling our heart with hope is great! Having a goal moves us and, when we hear His voice to know the best path, it also takes us closer to Him.

The problem is when we transfer our happiness to our dreams, putting the responsibility of making us happy on them.

Gratitude in the now

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

It makes me question whether I’ve been grateful for what I already have.

Have I been seeing the little things that God has already poured into my life or am I busy waiting for a hyper event that takes me off the ground and makes me lose my breath?

When we plan big things, we end up focusing too much on them and forgetting about the small pieces that put together such a bigger and amazing puzzle. As human beings, we are used to easily noticing the big and we let go unnoticed or with less attention to what is detail.

Enjoy the way

The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. Save your people and bless your inheritance. Be their shepherd and carry them forever”.

Psalms 28:7-9

A life of gratitude is also a life of surrender. When we understand that everything comes from Him and everything has to aim at Him, we turn our faith to the Father and trust in His perfect will.

And that also means being grateful in the midst of pain. It’s not that God wants you to suffer smiling but that, even in tears, you realize how He takes care of you and your walk. He is an ever-present Father.

I don’t want to discourage you from your dreams or tell you to stop chasing them. I’m here to remind you that even as you dream and seek more, you can’t forget to also look at what’s in front of you today.

Don’t let your goal take your eyes off the landscape along the way. She is also very important.

Why despair for the future?

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes. Fear the Lord and shun evil”.

Proverbs 3:5-7

When we are grateful for every bit of history that God writes, our heart is reassured for what comes ahead. This happens because we see that if we have received so much and He has taken care of so many parts, why then should we despair about the future?

It is at this moment that we learn to wait. It’s like on an airplane. Even if you really want to get to your destination soon, there’s no point in wanting to rush his stop, otherwise you’d get off at a random and pointless place.

Finish the route, go to the end and trust the pilot. Everything has a certain time to form and everything has an exact space of time to go through. It’s no use wanting to get off the train right away, otherwise you end up stopping at the wrong station.

Trust in the Father’s word and take that faith to every day in every month. He has a lot prepared for you. Just leave the direction in His hands and you will see everything happening in the Lord’s perfect time.

Written from the beginning

Easter is not just an isolated celebration on the Christian calendar that appeared out of nowhere. It is the fulfillment of a promise that runs throughout the entire Bible. From the very beginning, God had already established a plan of redemption, revealed little by little over the course of history. Christ came to save us and gave Himself for us, even though we did not deserve it. His coming was not by chance, and His death was not an accident, but the center of a carefully crafted divine narrative, where every detail pointed to the perfect sacrifice. Pointing to the Messiah Long before the cross, God was already revealing, through symbols and events, what would later be fulfilled in Jesus. One of the most striking examples is the sacrifice of Isaac. “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love…”(Genesis 22:2) Just as Isaac carried the wood for the sacrifice, Jesus would carry the cross. However, unlike Isaac, Christ was the Lamb who truly gave Himself. There, God had already shown that He would provide the perfect sacrifice. Another powerful example is Joseph, who was sold for silver and rejected by his brothers. “They sold Joseph for twenty pieces […]

Prayer: A steady journey

Lord God, we thank You for the special moments that warm our hearts, for the celebrations that renew our hope, and for the new beginnings that remind us of Your love. Thank You because, in every moment, You call us closer to You. Help us not to limit our faith to dates or emotions, but to live a constant and true relationship with You. Forgive us when we allow routine to silence Your calling in our lives. Many times, when the calendar turns and ordinary days arrive, we become distracted and lose focus on Your Kingdom. Teach us to follow Christ with daily faithfulness, recognizing that the same God who speaks in special moments continues to speak in the ordinary moments of life. Strengthen our hearts to truly live the mission You have entrusted to us. Help us understand that Jesus’ “Go” has no expiration date and does not depend on circumstances. May this lead us to love, serve, teach, and testify to Your Word every day, making our lives a living instrument of Your Kingdom, even when enthusiasm fades. Lord, consecrate every detail of our routine. May everything we do, in every situation, be done for Your glory. Transform […]

The call continues

The special dates on the Christian calendar invite us to reflection, fellowship, and reunion with God. End-of-year services and messages about new beginnings warm the heart and renew hope. However, when the calendar turns and January arrives with its routine, God’s call must not lose its voice in our lives. Faith is not seasonal, and the Kingdom does not operate according to commemorative dates. Following Christ is a daily commitment that goes beyond emotional moments and reaches into the ordinary flow of life. The same God who spoke during a special service continues to speak on an ordinary Monday. The call does not end when the celebrations end; it continues to be lived out with consistency. Expiration date “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus ends His earthly ministry with the clear command to “go.” There is no deadline, no specific season, and no requirement for a favorable emotional state. The Great Commission is not limited to spiritually intense […]
