Move yourself

Move yourself

The word “movement” appears for the first time in Genesis 1, verse 2. From that text, from Genesis to Revelation, it was through people moving that miracles happened. Do not stop “The earth was an empty waste and darkness was over the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was moving over the top of the waters.” Genesis 1-2 It is after this word that the text of Genesis begins to tell us how God created everything in the world in those 7 days. It was after His movement that everything began to emerge. Movement means success. No one who has won and reached incredible places has managed to stand still. People who move change their position and achieve their goals and dreams. Even if it’s not overnight, with each step they get closer to where they want to go. And as the Father moves, He calls you to move and work. Not to stand still. The Lord can do anything with a snap of His fingers, but He will work the impossible and He expects us to do everything that is possible as humans beings . We have the opportunity to participate in the work of the Father. I […]

The power of prayer

The power of prayer

I have watched some sermons and read a lot about the power of prayer. Unfortunately we often forget about this. We have access to such a powerful tool. Our first step should always be to pray, but often, in the face of situations, we leave prayer for last. Prayer makes things possible “So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him. The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. ‘Quick, get up!’ he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.” Acts 12:5-7 Last Friday I brought the story of Peter’s arrest and the church’s fervent prayer for his release. The text in Acts 2 says he was in prison between two guards and bound with chains. There was no way he could get away from there, much less get out unnoticed. But while he was in that difficult situation, the church prayed to God for a miracle to be done. Then […]

Resting in uncomfortable situations

In Acts 12 we have access to a very interesting story. King Herod was persecuting the church and going against what it taught. In this persecution he ordered James to be killed and Peter arrested. But what seemed like the end for Peter became the story of a great miracle… Calling on the strength of the Father “It was about this time that King Herod arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to persecute them. He had James, the brother of John, put to death with the sword. When he saw that this met with approval among the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This happened during the Festival of Unleavened Bread. After arresting him, he put him in prison…” Acts 12:1-4 I imagine the fear of Christians at that time. Seeing relevant leaders being forcibly and violently taken away from them because of everything they believed in. If our faith is not firm and strengthened in God, in moments like this it can be shaken. Our minds can begin to question the Lord. We may think He is silent. Faced with that scenario, the church entered into intercession. The bible describes the church’s prayer for Peter as “fervent“. I can […]

The God’s Time

The God’s Time

I’m sure you’ve heard the advice several times: “calm down, wait for God’s time, everything will be fine”, but it’s never easy to wait, quite the contrary, you always think that a certain thing should already be happening, but still nothing. But don’t worry, I assure you it’s always worth it. I’ve been through some situations of God’s time not being the same as mine, and honestly? If I didn’t wait, I wouldn’t be ready to live what He gave me, I don’t regret waiting one bit. Life is made of processes “There is an occasion for everything, and a time for every activity under heaven:. a time to give birth and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to uproot; a time to kill and a time to heal; a time to tear down and a time to build; a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance; a time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace and a time to avoid embracing; a time to search and a time to count as lost; a time to keep and a […]

Has your heart agreed with God?

God says in the bible that whatever I ask in faith will be given to me. So why have I been asking with all my strength and He won’t give it to me? Does he not hear me? This has happened to everyone at least once. Praying and waiting on God, but not receiving what was asked, thinking that the Lord is not listening to us. But that’s not true. On the opposite way “Before they call I will answer. While they are still speaking I will hear” Isaiah 65:24 The Father always hears us, His ears will always be turned towards the children. And even stronger than that, the heart of God hears our insides before we even speak. In all your prayers He was always by your side listening to every word. But He will not give you what is not linked to what He dreams for your life. God has a plan for every person even before birth. All life has a purpose, because He doesn’t do anything “just in case”, every detail has already been dreamed up. And our prayer may not be aligned with this desire of the Father, which makes us think that He closed his […]

Prayer for the weary and burdened

Prayer for the weary and burdened

The year is starting, but we came from a very troubled year for many people. It’s common to feel tired and overwhelmed, even if 2023 is just beginning. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am meek and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29 May we cling to Jesus and learn from Him to be meek and humble. Today, I invite you to pray for your neighbor and maybe for yourself so that God will bring you rest, remembering that you don’t need to pray the same way I will leave it here. After all, everyone has their own way of talking to our God. Prayer Lord, my God and Father, we thank You for another breath of life that You have given us. It was through Your grace that we came this far. Holy Spirit, we cry out to You to bring relief and comfort to our hearts. Bring peace and rest into our lives. That rest that can only come from above. Father, we ask for […]

A Prayer for Rest

A Prayer for Rest

How many times have you closed your eyes tightly, breathing deeply and crying out for the Father? Maybe because you couldn’t take it anymore or maybe because you were already one step away from giving up. The Lord says there in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” The Lord wants to give you rest, but the first step is yours: draw close to Him, trust the Father. Let’s pray for this rest and surrender to God everything we need. Remembering that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m going to leave it here, because each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure. Feel free to speak your own way. Prayer “Lord my God and Father, we thank you for this breath of life that you have given us today. Father, on this day, we want to give you all the worry, fatigue, sadness and anguish that have taken over our hearts. We ask that you take care of these things, over which we have no power. Holy Spirit, […]
