Have we been thinking about each other? Have we understood that each one has their own time? Or have we easily lost patience?

Self-control
“Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.”
Proverbs 16:32
Self-control has to do with our ability to control our impulses, attitudes, behaviors and emotions. And it has everything to do with patience.
Unfortunately it is very easy and common for us to get stressed and lose patience with the people around us, doesn’t matter if they are relatives, friends or even people we do not know. In my point of view, this happens because of the selfishness that exists within us.
We always tend to think about ourselves before we think about other people. This is something of our nature and, consequently, we started to want everything to happen when and the way we want. Consequently, we tend to react in the wrong way to situations that are not as we wish. But that’s not how things are supposed to work, right?

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,”
Philippians 2: 3
It is not new that we live in society; and the Bible speaks a lot about living in society and how we should act.
Because we live in society, we need to understand that the people around us also have needs, wants, difficulties and plans. In addition, it is essential to understand that the people around us are not like us. Each person has its time and is going through its own phase of life.
We cannot force someone to do something or learn something, simply because we learned that way or because it is easy or simple for us. Each person has its difficulties and, in most cases, the difficulty of the person next to you will not be the same as yours!
So we need to learn to respect, not just other people’s time, but mainly God’s time.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:”
