Walking like Esther

The story of Esther shows us the power of boldness and action in critical moments. It clearly demonstrates how our prayer and stance can change everything!

Authority in the steps

As queen, Esther faced the challenge of interceding for her people, risking her own life. God was with her, and because of that, she found the courage to present herself to the king even without being summoned.

Esther knew she couldn’t remain silent, and with faith, she made the decision that would save the nation of Israel. She didn’t hold back when she received direction from the Lord.

In our lives, we often face challenges that seem too big. But just like Esther, we can find courage in God.

He gives us authority, guides us in difficult moments, and directs us to make wise decisions. When we act with that confidence, knowing the Lord is by our side, we can impact not only our lives but also the lives of those around us.

Dependence on God

Esther was beautiful, but she didn’t rely on her beauty. She was full of wisdom that came from her close relationship with God.

Before making any decision, she sought the Lord through fasting and prayer, showing her complete dependence on Him. This is a reminder for us that true wisdom comes from a life of intimacy with God. When we depend on Him, He gives us clarity to act with discernment and grace.

Her trust in God gave her a strategic plan, making her seen as intelligent and sensible. Our actions don’t need to be impulsive; we can rely on prayer. We can stop, think, and plan based on God’s purposes.

Esther waited for the right time and positioned herself wisely, demonstrating that success doesn’t come only from external circumstances but from God’s guidance.

Christ’s kindness

Esther was also known for her kindness and grace, which opened doors of influence for her.

Her way of dealing with the people around her was marked by kindness, earning her the respect and trust of both her people and the king.

Kindness is a powerful virtue that reflects the character of Christ in us, and when we exercise it, we can become instruments for lasting change.

Just like Esther, we should strive to be examples of love and compassion, using our authority in Christ to bless others.

When we act with kindness, we open doors for transformation and touch lives in profound ways. This encourages us to be channels of God’s grace, using the opportunities He gives us to bear fruit for His Kingdom.

The right place

Throughout life, we are constantly called to make choices. Some seem obvious, attractive, and full of opportunities. Others require faith, patience, and trust in God. The problem is that not everything that looks good to our eyes is truly what is best for our future. The Bible shows us this through the story of Abraham and Lot, a narrative that remains extremely relevant for everyone who desires to live according to God’s will. Appearances can be deceiving “Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.)” Genesis 13:10 There came a time when Abraham’s and Lot’s flocks had grown so much that the land could no longer support them together. To avoid conflict, Abraham proposed that they separate and gave Lot the opportunity to choose first where he would go. Lot saw a place that, from a human perspective, seemed like the perfect choice. The plain was fertile, abundant, and promising. Everything pointed to prosperity. But Lot evaluated only what he could see. He observed the appearance of the land but ignored […]

Prayer: Running from religious fear

Prayer: Running from religious fear

In the previous text, we talked a little about religious OCD and how it takes our focus away from what Christ truly expects from us. Today, I want to invite you to pray with me about this subject, so that we may feel free in the Father’s presence, seeking Him with love, gratitude, and true peace. You do not need to pray exactly as I will write here. Open your heart genuinely to God. But it will be a pleasure to accompany you in this moment of prayer and seeking. Prayer Father, I know that many times my mind is filled with fear, guilt, and thoughts that steal the peace of my faith. I know that You do not want me to live imprisoned by spiritual anxiety, constantly trying to earn a love that was already given to me on the cross. Teach me to rest in You and to remember that Your love is not sustained by my performance, but by Your infinite grace. When intrusive thoughts come, when the fear of condemnation tries to dominate my heart, and when I feel spiritually overwhelmed, help me remember Your truth. Your Word says that I was not given a spirit […]
