Do you recognize your identity? Or rather, do you know your identity in Christ? These are certainly difficult but important questions.
Your identity determines who you are, which involves many aspects of your life, such as how you act and your personal tastes. So, being sure of it is essential to not lose focus during a walk.
You are a child of God
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
John 1:12
Certainly, much of who we are on earth is determined by nationality, upbringing and family, but by accepting Jesus as our only savior, we became part of a heavenly family, we became God’s beloved children. Bearing in mind that the creator of all things is your father, is the first step in knowing your identity.
Our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, so as it is written in 1 Corinthians 6: 19 – 20, we do not belong to ourselves, as we were bought at a high price and with that we must honor God, through it, which begins in our identity.
Know Christ
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
2 Corinthians 5:17
It is not possible to understand his identity in Christ without knowing him. So it is essential that you know the story of your savior and meditate on the Bible, because the scriptures are alive and God speaks to us through them.
Talking to a friend, I commented on how we tend to adhere to the behavior of someone we admire or who is very close, so if we walk with Jesus we will soon be more like him.
Moment to meet again
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

The world has been experiencing a situation of great impact in recent months, the Covid-19 pandemic, where we have suffered emotional and economic losses. In addition, we had to slow down the pace of life due quarantine.
In general, people are spending more time with themselves and reflecting on their own image. It has not been an easy time, but it is in difficulty where we learn and our character is forged.
It is time to rethink areas of our lives, to get even closer to God and to have the confidence that he knows the reason for all things, because when we return to our routine we will be even stronger and with the identity established in the father. Great things are coming!
In conclusion …
You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.
Psalm 139: 1-5
Take time to talk to God, ask him to search your heart and shape your identity. God has great plans for your life and you need to be prepared. Preparation is not always easy, but to live the father’s purposes, it is worth it.
God bless you!
