Prayer: Worship and faith

I want to invite you to pray together about faith and worship.

In order to worship Him, giving everything we are and have, it is necessary to have complete faith in God, knowing that He will always do infinitely more than we ask or dream.

He is a providing Father, and we will never be alone in our steps of faith and obedience.

You don’t need to pray exactly as I’m going to say here. I know that everyone has their way of talking to the Father, and it is important that we individually seek intimacy with Him. Therefore, feel comfortable talking to the Lord in your own way. But if you want, I will be happy to accompany you in this prayer.

Prayer

“Dear God, we come before You with gratitude and praise, acknowledging Your faithfulness and presence in all circumstances. You consistently provide for us, and we have never been alone because You are always with us. We place our trust in You, not for what we receive through this faith, but because of who You are to us in every moment of our lives.

Teach our hearts to worship Your name in all circumstances, whether in the face of strong storms or on sunny days. We know that You are always present with us, wherever we are. Encourage us to get out of the boat, following Your voice.

Help us to keep our focus on You, remembering always that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble, as the Psalms declare.

May our worship not be contingent upon our circumstances. We do not want to rely on grand gestures to seek You, but may it be an expression of our unwavering faith in You, above and beyond everything else.

We desire to surrender everything to You: our dreams, pains, desires, plans, steps, and decisions. May You be both our path and our destination.

We trust that provision will always come from You, and we will never be without help as long as we walk by Your side. May we praise You not only in times of joy and prosperity but also in times of pain and difficulty, knowing that You are sovereign over all things and that You work for the good of those who love You and trust Your promises, which never fail.

Strengthen our faith, O God, so that we can trust in Your divine providence in all areas of our lives. We want to rest in You, in the hope that Your grace will pour out upon us.

May our worship be a response to Your unconditional love for us, a testimony of Your power and faithfulness.

We worship You, Father, with all our being, in spirit and in truth, recognizing that You are worthy of all praise and honor, both now and forever.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.”

The right place

Throughout life, we are constantly called to make choices. Some seem obvious, attractive, and full of opportunities. Others require faith, patience, and trust in God. The problem is that not everything that looks good to our eyes is truly what is best for our future. The Bible shows us this through the story of Abraham and Lot, a narrative that remains extremely relevant for everyone who desires to live according to God’s will. Appearances can be deceiving “Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.)” Genesis 13:10 There came a time when Abraham’s and Lot’s flocks had grown so much that the land could no longer support them together. To avoid conflict, Abraham proposed that they separate and gave Lot the opportunity to choose first where he would go. Lot saw a place that, from a human perspective, seemed like the perfect choice. The plain was fertile, abundant, and promising. Everything pointed to prosperity. But Lot evaluated only what he could see. He observed the appearance of the land but ignored […]

Prayer: Running from religious fear

In the previous text, we talked a little about religious OCD and how it takes our focus away from what Christ truly expects from us. Today, I want to invite you to pray with me about this subject, so that we may feel free in the Father’s presence, seeking Him with love, gratitude, and true peace. You do not need to pray exactly as I will write here. Open your heart genuinely to God. But it will be a pleasure to accompany you in this moment of prayer and seeking. Prayer Father, I know that many times my mind is filled with fear, guilt, and thoughts that steal the peace of my faith. I know that You do not want me to live imprisoned by spiritual anxiety, constantly trying to earn a love that was already given to me on the cross. Teach me to rest in You and to remember that Your love is not sustained by my performance, but by Your infinite grace. When intrusive thoughts come, when the fear of condemnation tries to dominate my heart, and when I feel spiritually overwhelmed, help me remember Your truth. Your Word says that I was not given a spirit […]
