Prayer: Going through trials with faith!

Today we will pray for a theme recently written here on the blog… as it is known, in this world we will have afflictions, as Jesus said in John 16:33, but in the same verse He also says: “but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world”. How good it is to know that our King has already conquered all the evil that we could face, isn’t it?

Sometimes it seems that we will not be able to cope, as I told some of my testimonies, but it happens that in Christ we are strengthened, we find shelter, salvation, healing, care, and much more when we believe that there is no way out, but He is the solution, He sends resources and people from where we never imagined He would come.

So today let’s pray together for the strengthening of our faith and for His provision in the midst of all the trials we are going through!

Here are some passages especially for you today:

3 Not only so, but we[a] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Romans 5:3-5

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

Romans 8:35

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

2 Corinthians 1:3,4

17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:17,18

Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.

Prayer

Beloved God, first of all I come before You to ask forgiveness for my mistakes, failures, attitudes, thoughts and actions that displeased You. I know that I need to improve, I still have a lot to learn, and this will only be possible if I am walking on Your path, together with You. I’m sorry if I ever questioned Your greatness or thought that You weren’t seeing my pain, I know that You are faithful, the one who is not faithful is me, for I am a human being full of flaws.

Father, it is not easy to go through the trials I am in, but as Your Son said, in this world we will have afflictions, but He has already won for us on the cross. All I have is the Lord and that is enough for me, for He knows my needs better than I do.

I am small next to You, so I make the Lord my refuge. Strengthen my faith, my mind, clothe me in your armor so that with you I can overcome the evil day. My God, yours is the power, the glory and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words may reach the Lord like a sweet perfume!

Prayer: Purify and restore

Father, today I stand before You, acknowledging my need for the presence of Your Holy Spirit. There are areas of my life that often resemble dry, weary, and barren land. There are times when my faith weakens, my heart becomes heavy, and my soul thirsts for the water that only You can offer. Therefore, I ask You: pour out Your showers of blessing upon me. May Your Spirit renew what is worn out, restore what is broken, and bring life where there is dryness. Just as You promised to pour water upon the thirsty land, I acknowledge my dependence on You. I do not want to seek satisfaction in the fleeting things of this world, but in the inexhaustible source of Your presence. Fill my heart with Your peace, strengthen my faith, and help me remain close to You at all times. May Your Spirit flow through my life like rivers of living water, bringing hope, direction, and renewal to every area that needs Your touch. Holy Spirit, fall upon me like a flood. Invade the places in my heart that I have not yet fully surrendered to the Lord. Wash away my worries, my fears, my insecurities, and everything […]

Prayer: Guarding my steps

Prayer: Guarding my steps

Father, I know that many times I make decisions based only on what my eyes can see. Just as Lot saw a land that was beautiful, fertile, and full of possibilities, I am also tempted to choose paths based on appearance, comfort, and immediate opportunities. Forgive me for the times when I considered only the visible benefits and failed to seek Your direction. Give me a sensitive heart to discern not only what seems good, but what is truly part of Your will for my life. Help me understand that the environments I choose to remain in deeply influence who I become. Guard my heart from influences that pull me away from Your presence, and strengthen my faith to remain in places that promote spiritual growth, even when they do not seem the most attractive in human eyes. May I never exchange Your peace for temporary advantages, nor Your presence for empty promises that do not come from You. Father, give me wisdom to recognize the moments when I need to leave behind certain seasons, relationships, habits, or environments. Many times I cling to what I already know out of fear of change or uncertainty. But I know that when […]
