Prayer: Dependent on the Lord

I want to take this moment today to pray together. May we recognize that no matter how much we know how to get by and how independent we are most of the time, we will always depend on God’s love and grace.

Remembering that you don’t need to pray exactly as I’m going to say here. I know that everyone has their own way of communicating with the Father, and it is important that we seek this intimacy. Feel free to talk to the Lord in your way. But if you wish, I am here to accompany you in this prayer.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for enabling me every day and strengthening me in all situations. Without You, I go nowhere.

As much as I know how to do and decide things on my own, I depend entirely on Your wisdom and strength. Father, I know that in many moments of life I feel capable and independent, but I also know that without Your guidance, all my efforts are in vain.

Lord, pour out Your divine wisdom upon me, which illuminates my path and teaches me the right direction. Teach me to always seek Your counsel before making decisions, whether big or small. May I never trust solely in my own ability, but surrender to Your perfect guidance.

Strengthen me in my weaknesses, give me the necessary strength to face daily challenges, knowing that in You I find the true source of power. When my strength fails, may I find renewal in You. When my focus weakens, may Your light guide me back to the right path, and may I be sensitive to hear Your voice and follow it. And when my hope runs out, may I remember Your infinite love and grace.

Lord, with every step I take, may I feel Your hand guiding and sustaining me. May I trust fully in Your providence and care, knowing that everything comes from You and returns to You.

I know that You work in each of us individually and uniquely. Do not let me constantly compare myself to those around me, but help me recognize that, even though some of these people are inspirations to me, I also have something special within my heart, deposited by You. I know You have the best for me in a specific and special way.

Thank You, Father, for being my refuge and my strength, a very present help in times of trouble. May I live each day for Your glory, recognizing that without You I am nothing, and that by Your side, I will reach even greater places.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

The right place

Throughout life, we are constantly called to make choices. Some seem obvious, attractive, and full of opportunities. Others require faith, patience, and trust in God. The problem is that not everything that looks good to our eyes is truly what is best for our future. The Bible shows us this through the story of Abraham and Lot, a narrative that remains extremely relevant for everyone who desires to live according to God’s will. Appearances can be deceiving “Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.)” Genesis 13:10 There came a time when Abraham’s and Lot’s flocks had grown so much that the land could no longer support them together. To avoid conflict, Abraham proposed that they separate and gave Lot the opportunity to choose first where he would go. Lot saw a place that, from a human perspective, seemed like the perfect choice. The plain was fertile, abundant, and promising. Everything pointed to prosperity. But Lot evaluated only what he could see. He observed the appearance of the land but ignored […]

Prayer: Running from religious fear

Prayer: Running from religious fear

In the previous text, we talked a little about religious OCD and how it takes our focus away from what Christ truly expects from us. Today, I want to invite you to pray with me about this subject, so that we may feel free in the Father’s presence, seeking Him with love, gratitude, and true peace. You do not need to pray exactly as I will write here. Open your heart genuinely to God. But it will be a pleasure to accompany you in this moment of prayer and seeking. Prayer Father, I know that many times my mind is filled with fear, guilt, and thoughts that steal the peace of my faith. I know that You do not want me to live imprisoned by spiritual anxiety, constantly trying to earn a love that was already given to me on the cross. Teach me to rest in You and to remember that Your love is not sustained by my performance, but by Your infinite grace. When intrusive thoughts come, when the fear of condemnation tries to dominate my heart, and when I feel spiritually overwhelmed, help me remember Your truth. Your Word says that I was not given a spirit […]
