Prayer: Anointing of the Spirit

God grants us gifts, pours His grace upon us, and empowers us for various actions, specific to each of His children.

But, furthermore, He also desires to anoint us in these areas. He has set us apart for the Kingdom and guides us daily toward His work.

I want to invite you to pray today for this anointing, for boldness and wisdom to serve the Kingdom. It’s important for us to pray for our dreams, but beyond that, it’s necessary to be thankful for what we already have and to seek empowerment for what He calls us to do.

You don’t need to pray exactly as I’m going to say here. I know that everyone has their way of talking to the Father, and it is important that we individually seek intimacy with Him. Therefore, feel comfortable talking to the Lord in your own way. But if you want, I will be happy to accompany you in this prayer.

Prayer

“Father, I acknowledge the need I have to be anointed and washed by You, Lord. In this moment, I pour myself out before You, surrendering all that I have and am, allowing myself to be crushed and molded so that I may be filled with the oil that heals, cleanses, and renews, the oil that comes from You.

You have called me to work for Your Kingdom, and I desire to serve You and Your children. Pour upon me Your oil that breaks every yoke and frees us from every burden.

Direct my heart to the place where You want me to be. I want to live Your dreams and plans for me, keeping my eyes focused on that.

I desire nothing but Your presence and Your action. Pour upon me Your anointing, empowering me to fulfill the purpose and the calling You have for my life. I desire to carry out Your work and follow Your will. I acknowledge that my desires and longings, if not aligned with You, can lead me to the abyss. Therefore, I want to hear Your voice above all and before any step.

Align my will with Yours, do not allow me to dream or desire something that You do not dream or desire for me. I want to be an instrument in Your hands, showcasing Your glory. May I decrease, Lord, making room for more of You!

Allow me to carry Your light, hope, and love wherever I go, not so that I may be known, but so that they may love and fear Your Name!

God, I ask that You anoint me with wisdom and discernment, so that I may recognize and follow Your will in all situations. I want to hear Your voice and promptly obey Your commandments. Make my heart sensitive to the guidance of Your Holy Spirit, allowing Him to guide and empower me to do Your will in all areas of our lives.

I want to give my best for the Kingdom and for You, completely. I do not want my dreams; I desire Yours! I do not want to walk where You do not go with me.

May Your anointing empower us to be faithful servants and witnesses of Christ in this world. May I shine as a light in the midst of darkness, reflecting Your love and Your grace to all I encounter.

In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.”

The right place

Throughout life, we are constantly called to make choices. Some seem obvious, attractive, and full of opportunities. Others require faith, patience, and trust in God. The problem is that not everything that looks good to our eyes is truly what is best for our future. The Bible shows us this through the story of Abraham and Lot, a narrative that remains extremely relevant for everyone who desires to live according to God’s will. Appearances can be deceiving “Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.)” Genesis 13:10 There came a time when Abraham’s and Lot’s flocks had grown so much that the land could no longer support them together. To avoid conflict, Abraham proposed that they separate and gave Lot the opportunity to choose first where he would go. Lot saw a place that, from a human perspective, seemed like the perfect choice. The plain was fertile, abundant, and promising. Everything pointed to prosperity. But Lot evaluated only what he could see. He observed the appearance of the land but ignored […]

Prayer: Running from religious fear

In the previous text, we talked a little about religious OCD and how it takes our focus away from what Christ truly expects from us. Today, I want to invite you to pray with me about this subject, so that we may feel free in the Father’s presence, seeking Him with love, gratitude, and true peace. You do not need to pray exactly as I will write here. Open your heart genuinely to God. But it will be a pleasure to accompany you in this moment of prayer and seeking. Prayer Father, I know that many times my mind is filled with fear, guilt, and thoughts that steal the peace of my faith. I know that You do not want me to live imprisoned by spiritual anxiety, constantly trying to earn a love that was already given to me on the cross. Teach me to rest in You and to remember that Your love is not sustained by my performance, but by Your infinite grace. When intrusive thoughts come, when the fear of condemnation tries to dominate my heart, and when I feel spiritually overwhelmed, help me remember Your truth. Your Word says that I was not given a spirit […]
