Perfect timing

Learning to wait with faith and patience strengthens us spiritually, shapes our character, and draws us closer to the Lord. When we rest in His sovereignty, we find peace, knowing that He has the best for us.

A Purpose for Every Season

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

Ecclesiastes 3:1

God is never late nor early; He works at the perfect time. Often, we seek immediate answers, but He teaches us to trust and wait. Every phase of life has a purpose, and even when we don’t understand it, God is shaping our character and preparing us for what’s ahead.

Waiting on the Lord does not mean inactivity but rather a season of learning and growth, acting in pursuit of His purpose. God uses the waiting period to strengthen our faith, teach us patience, and draw us closer to Him. Just as a tree needs time to develop deep roots before growing strong, our lives require a firm foundation in trusting God. When we surrender our plans to Him, we can rest assured that He is in control.

Even in times of uncertainty, we must remember that God’s plans are greater and better than our own. What may seem like a delay or divine silence is actually part of His perfect plan. We must learn to trust, knowing that, in due time, He will open the right doors and fulfill His promises.

Waiting, Faith, and Perseverance

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Romans 5:3-4

God uses the waiting period to teach us valuable lessons and strengthen us spiritually. He invites us to trust not only in what He can do but in who He is.

Waiting often brings challenges, doubts, and even the fear that God has forgotten us. However, His faithfulness never fails. Consider Abraham, who waited for years for the promise of a son. Despite human limitations and impossibilities, he continued to believe. His patience allowed him to experience God’s wonders in the best possible way.

The key to waiting patiently is to remain in communion with God through prayer and His Word. The more we seek His presence, the stronger we become. Instead of focusing on delays, we should focus on His promises.

In His Perfect Time

I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live.

Ecclesiastes 3:10-12

What may seem like a delay today could actually be God protecting us from making the wrong choices. Even a good thing at the wrong time can turn out badly.

Looking back, we can see how He has guided our paths in ways we didn’t understand at the time.

The story of Joseph shows us how God turns every situation into a blessing. Even when sold as a slave and unjustly imprisoned, he remained faithful. At the right time, God exalted him. Had he given up during the hardships, he would not have witnessed the great work God had in store for him.

Our trust must be anchored in the Lord, not in our circumstances. At the right moment, He will open doors, restore what was lost, and fulfill His promises. While we wait, we must rest in the assurance that God’s plans are always the best, and in His perfect time, everything will come together beautifully.

The right place

Throughout life, we are constantly called to make choices. Some seem obvious, attractive, and full of opportunities. Others require faith, patience, and trust in God. The problem is that not everything that looks good to our eyes is truly what is best for our future. The Bible shows us this through the story of Abraham and Lot, a narrative that remains extremely relevant for everyone who desires to live according to God’s will. Appearances can be deceiving “Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.)” Genesis 13:10 There came a time when Abraham’s and Lot’s flocks had grown so much that the land could no longer support them together. To avoid conflict, Abraham proposed that they separate and gave Lot the opportunity to choose first where he would go. Lot saw a place that, from a human perspective, seemed like the perfect choice. The plain was fertile, abundant, and promising. Everything pointed to prosperity. But Lot evaluated only what he could see. He observed the appearance of the land but ignored […]

Prayer: Running from religious fear

Prayer: Running from religious fear

In the previous text, we talked a little about religious OCD and how it takes our focus away from what Christ truly expects from us. Today, I want to invite you to pray with me about this subject, so that we may feel free in the Father’s presence, seeking Him with love, gratitude, and true peace. You do not need to pray exactly as I will write here. Open your heart genuinely to God. But it will be a pleasure to accompany you in this moment of prayer and seeking. Prayer Father, I know that many times my mind is filled with fear, guilt, and thoughts that steal the peace of my faith. I know that You do not want me to live imprisoned by spiritual anxiety, constantly trying to earn a love that was already given to me on the cross. Teach me to rest in You and to remember that Your love is not sustained by my performance, but by Your infinite grace. When intrusive thoughts come, when the fear of condemnation tries to dominate my heart, and when I feel spiritually overwhelmed, help me remember Your truth. Your Word says that I was not given a spirit […]
