These days I saw an image on Instagram that made me think about how is our morning routine. Well, the image compared the routine of someone who works too much and that of someone who has a balanced life. I agree that the ideal would be for all of us to have a more peaceful routine where we have the morning time, but we don’t live in an ideal world.
We work, study, have families, and all of this makes life a bit of a rush, so I would like to ask you, “what are your mornings like?” I particularly identify mornings as a very precious moment of our day. God’s word instructs us to praise Him first thing in the morning.
But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.Psalms 59:16
You know, one thing I realized a long time ago is that when we seek God in the morning our day is transformed and no matter how much adversity there is, we are stronger to overcome it. When we seek our father early in the morning the biblical truths, from the word of God, accompany us for the rest of the day. We are prepared to armor ourselves against the traps of the enemy.
So today I would like to encourage you to seek God in the mornings. No matter how busy our routine is, we always have a time to talk to God. If you have to take public transportation in the morning, take advantage of this time when you would be standing still to have your moment with the Lord. If you are driving somewhere, this is a great opportunity to praise Him by listening to songs of gratitude to Him or even listen to a sermon.
Our mornings reflect a lot on how our day will go
Are you that person who rolls over in bed and always wants an extra 5 minutes for a nap? Then it’s time to put an end to this once and for all, and here’s my tip: You’re awake? Get up and roll out your bed. After all, these 5 minutes rolling over would be an excellent time to thank God for these more 24 hours granted to you. Remembering that each one of our days is not an acquired right, but a granted gift.
If we remember this early in the morning, then we will probably enjoy our day more, and in this way, even if our mornings are racing, we will have them and more than having free time, when we face our activities as a gift, they become pleasurable, because we will do each one with the necessary care.
Finally, I want to reaffirm: have the mornings! May your mornings be blessed in the presence of God’s Holy Spirit. And remember, He is at your side to overcome whatever challenges you will face throughout the day. In Him is your strength!
I leave here some verses for you:
Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.Isaiah 33:2
Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.Psalm 90:14
God bless you!
