Prayer: sharing what God gave you

In the last text I wrote about the blessings that are poured into our lives in an overflowing way so that we can share them. (Click here to read). You certainly occupy a place of blessing in something. Maybe in your relationships, maybe in knowledge, maybe financially, in talents. Or in various things. Know that this is grace that was bestowed upon you.

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.  – 2 Cor. 8:8

God wants to give us more than we need so that we can use that overflow to connect with one another, to bless one another. To live in church. God wants us to experience living in unity. That’s why the pouring out of gifts is different on each person, so that we are just complete in each other.

Most likely your friend is overflowing with something you need, and likewise, you may have something the person next to you is in need. Let’s pray that you will be able to identify all that God has done in your life and then multiply.

Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.

Dear and beloved God, I first want to thank you for every gift and grace we have received through Jesus. Thank You that through Christ we are free, forgiven, accepted by You. Thank You that Jesus shares with us His place as Your Son, the authority of His name and makes us co-heirs with Him. Thank you that we receive in Jesus every spiritual blessings in the heavenly realms.

Lord, give us a look capable of recognizing all that we have received from You so that we can multiply and pass it on so that more people are edified and feel your love through us. So often we are ungrateful and do not look at the miracles that You has done in our homes and our lives. Help us to see all the grace received.

Holy Spirit, help us so that whenever we have something that can bless someone, that we will never be indifferent or people who withhold for themselves the blessings we received from the Father. Help us to have a giving heart, generous and looking towards the next. Make us channels of blessing and instruments of Your love.

Teach us to look at everything we have with a vision of eternity. Let us not despise opportunities to make a difference in someone’s life. The greatest blessing we received was through the work of Jesus. May we share the good news of salvation with others who still don’t know You either.

May we be generous with all things (gifts, resources, time, talent, etc) and in everything. May we be able to bless, as we have already been blessed by people and, above all, to share all the blessings that we have already received from the Lord.

It is in Jesus’ precious name that I pray.

Amen!

Prayer: Purify and restore

Prayer: Purify and restore

Father, today I stand before You, acknowledging my need for the presence of Your Holy Spirit. There are areas of my life that often resemble dry, weary, and barren land. There are times when my faith weakens, my heart becomes heavy, and my soul thirsts for the water that only You can offer. Therefore, I ask You: pour out Your showers of blessing upon me. May Your Spirit renew what is worn out, restore what is broken, and bring life where there is dryness. Just as You promised to pour water upon the thirsty land, I acknowledge my dependence on You. I do not want to seek satisfaction in the fleeting things of this world, but in the inexhaustible source of Your presence. Fill my heart with Your peace, strengthen my faith, and help me remain close to You at all times. May Your Spirit flow through my life like rivers of living water, bringing hope, direction, and renewal to every area that needs Your touch. Holy Spirit, fall upon me like a flood. Invade the places in my heart that I have not yet fully surrendered to the Lord. Wash away my worries, my fears, my insecurities, and everything […]

Rain and fire upon us

Rain and fire upon us

Throughout the Scriptures, God uses powerful images to reveal the work of the Holy Spirit. Among them, two appear repeatedly: rain and fire. They may seem like completely opposite images when we read them, but rain speaks of life, renewal, and abundance, while fire speaks of purification, holiness, and power. When we cry out, “Holy Spirit, fall like a flood” or “Holy Spirit, send Your fire,” we are echoing deeply biblical symbols that point to God’s work among His people. The Holy Spirit is not merely a force or a passing emotion. He is the living presence of God dwelling within us, transforming dry hearts into fertile ground and igniting cold lives with the fire of His presence. Rain upon dry ground “I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.” Ezekiel 34:26 Since the Old Testament, God has promised to pour out blessings upon His people like rain that falls at the proper time. The image of water is frequently used to describe spiritual renewal, restoration, and abundant life that come from the Lord. In a world marked by spiritual exhaustion, many hearts […]

Procrastinators

Procrastinators

We live in a tired generation. We constantly hear about procrastination, discouragement, and the difficulty of completing even simple daily tasks. Many times, our lives seem organized on the outside, but inside there is an overwhelmed mind with no strength to begin. Getting out of bed feels difficult. Small tasks become gigantic. Simple things remain unfinished and, without realizing it, we accumulate pending matters that increase our anxiety even more. Procrastination is not always born from laziness. Sometimes, it comes from mental exhaustion, emotional overload, and a mind that can no longer handle so many demands at the same time. And perhaps the answer is not in doing more, but in slowing down, breathing, and learning to walk one step at a time before God again. The body stops “For he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.” Psalm 103:14 Our minds were not created to carry everything at once. When we look at a huge list of responsibilities, pressures, and expectations, the brain tends to search for a place of comfort and escape. That is why, many times, we become paralyzed even before small tasks. Not because we do not want to do them, but […]
