Prayer: God in control of my life!

We don’t have the script for our lives, only our Father does, and that’s a good thing, isn’t it? God is in control of everything we are going through and knows what is best for us. This is wonderful, but sometimes we find it difficult to just trust, we want to be in control and know what is going to happen in the future, which is impossible.

But do you know what? When our Lord is in control there is no need to know what is going to happen in the future and, furthermore, when we prepare ourselves and give our best today we will certainly be prepared for whatever comes, be it blessings or trials.

This is why I want to pray with you today, that we hand over our future to the Father and prepare ourselves daily for whatever comes. I leave here a passage especially for you today:

Seek ye therefore first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:33

Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.

Prayer

Beloved God, I thank you for this day and for your care. For the opportunity I have today to be a better person, to trust your promises more and make wiser decisions than I did yesterday. I know that I fail and need to improve in many things, but I don’t want to make bad decisions anymore.

Today I commit myself to improve my attitude towards life, not being a victim of the future anymore, but a person of faith and action in the present.

Father, I have plans, but I know that the final answer will come from You. I also humbly ask for your help to give me encouragement and courage today so that I can get those dreams and plans put in me by You off the paper. Sometimes for fear of failure I don’t start, but I don’t want to be like that, that my posture is that of a victorious and determined person.

May I grow in His grace every day, I know that by doing what I need to do today, the Lord is already taking care of my future and in this I rejoice. God, the control of my life is all yours, fulfill your will. My God, Yours is the power, the glory and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words may reach the Lord like a sweet perfume!

Prayer: Purify and restore

Father, today I stand before You, acknowledging my need for the presence of Your Holy Spirit. There are areas of my life that often resemble dry, weary, and barren land. There are times when my faith weakens, my heart becomes heavy, and my soul thirsts for the water that only You can offer. Therefore, I ask You: pour out Your showers of blessing upon me. May Your Spirit renew what is worn out, restore what is broken, and bring life where there is dryness. Just as You promised to pour water upon the thirsty land, I acknowledge my dependence on You. I do not want to seek satisfaction in the fleeting things of this world, but in the inexhaustible source of Your presence. Fill my heart with Your peace, strengthen my faith, and help me remain close to You at all times. May Your Spirit flow through my life like rivers of living water, bringing hope, direction, and renewal to every area that needs Your touch. Holy Spirit, fall upon me like a flood. Invade the places in my heart that I have not yet fully surrendered to the Lord. Wash away my worries, my fears, my insecurities, and everything […]
