Prayer: direction for the next steps!
We are approaching the end of the year, a time when everyone starts to make their plans for the coming year, even those who are not used to planning things have something in their heart that they would like to accomplish ahead. Some want to improve their studies, others plan to start a family, or long for new opportunities. In short, there is always a goal, but they are of no use if we don’t have direction from God.
Our Father knows the best path to follow, where we should invest our time and effort. So today I want to pray with you that God will give us direction on where to follow and how to follow. I leave here a passage especially for you today:
Consecrate to the Lord all that you do, and your plans will succeed.
Many are the plans in the heart of man, but what prevails is the purpose of the Lord.
Proverbs 19:21
Well-laid plans lead to plenty; but the hasty always end in misery.
Proverbs 21:5
Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I will leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.
Prayer
Beloved God, I thank you for all that you have allowed to happen to me this year, I thank you for all your care, love, for every experience I have lived. My Lord, You have been good to me, I could see so much of your hands protecting me in recent times and I know that your plans for the next one are greater than mine, so I ask for your direction.
Father, I place my life in your hands, that every step I take may be guided by you so that I can make wise decisions. I want to please you with my life and show all the gratitude I have to you. Lord, bless my family, that we may be more and more united. May we know where to invest our time, I don’t want to waste my time in empty paths, but I do want to walk in your paths that lead to salvation.
I pray that everything that can take away my focus will be removed from my life. On my path I want to have by my side people inspired by You, who will be good friends and counselors. I want to look in the right direction and I ask my beloved, guide my every step, my life belongs to You!
My God, Yours is the power, the glory and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words may reach the Lord like a sweet perfume!
