Brazilian startup Mr. Rocco graduates from the Google Play Apps Accelerator 2026 and presents the Bible AI case study at Google’s headquarters
The Bible AI app by Mr. Rocco was one of only two Brazilian apps selected for the first edition of Google’s global acceleration program. Its founder, Marcel Rocco, shared the platform’s case study at the Showcase Summit held in Mountain View, one day before the opening of Google I/O 2026.
After 12 weeks of mentorships, masterclasses, and direct access to Google specialists, Mr. Rocco, the Brazilian startup behind Bible AI, completed its participation in the first cohort of the Google Play Apps Accelerator, a pioneering Google Play acceleration program that selected 38 high-potential apps from around the world. Among those selected, only two represented Brazil, and Bible AI was one of them.
Bible AI is an innovative Bible platform that enhances Bible study and reading through artificial intelligence. Available on the Google Play Store and App Store, it combines cutting-edge technology with the tradition of Bible reading, offering each user a personalized and accessible experience to deepen their spiritual journey.
The selection resulted from a rigorous process conducted by Google, which sought startups with high growth potential. According to the official Android Developers Blog, the program offers participants:
- Curated learning: virtual masterclasses and workshops led by global industry leaders;
- Guidance and mentorship: one-on-one sessions covering everything from technical scaling to leadership;
- Direct access: exclusive sessions with Google specialists and experts from the industry’s most relevant companies.
“Completing the first global cohort of the Google Play Apps Accelerator is an extraordinary validation of the work we are building. Bible AI was born from the conviction that technology and faith can walk together, and now we have Google’s recognition and support to take this project to a new level,” says Marcel Rocco, founder of the app.
The program brought together startups from the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Bible AI stood alongside companies from countries such as the United States, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom, confirming the growing prominence of Brazil’s technology ecosystem on the global stage.
Case study presented at Google headquarters in Mountain View on the eve of Google I/O 2026
To mark the conclusion of the program, Mr. Rocco CEO Marcel Rocco was one of the founders invited to present the Bible AI case study during the Alumni Summit Showcase, held at Google’s global headquarters in Mountain View, California, one day before the official opening of Google I/O 2026. Before Google executives and startup founders from around the world, Marcel shared the journey of Mr. Rocco and the vision behind Bible AI, an application built upon the foundation of Bible JFA’s 130 million users to provide 24/7 spiritual companionship while remaining faithful to the biblical text.
