A sincere heart!

A sincere heart!

I would like to bring a brief and simple message, to analyze our hearts!

Have we done things from the heart for the Lord? Did we fall into the routine and end up praying or reading the Bible out of obligation? Do we worship the Lord in spirit and in truth?

Shall we talk about?

Routine compliance

It is true that we all have a routine and that, regardless of how busy the routine is, we need to have time for our spiritual life. Time for prayer, reading the Word and worship is sorely needed.

However, we often fall into the routine and start doing things out of a simple obligation and do not think about the real reason we are doing that. Unfortunately, this often happens in our spiritual lives.

We started to pray simply to pray, to fulfill the table. Read the Bible to fulfill the table. Is this right? With absolute certainty, it is not right at all! The Lord wants us to be whole, wants us to do things with our understanding.

What does the Lord seek?

“let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.”

Hebrews 10:22

The Bible shows us, through several passages, that we must seek the Lord with all our heart and with all our strength and understanding. Thus, we can conclude that it is not right to pray, to read the Bible, to fast, to preach or to praise from the mouth.

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.””

John 4:23

The Lord does not seek people who will praise Him from the mouth, but those who honor His name in all situations. Those who seek the face of the Lord with all their heart, because after all, it must be the most important thing in our lives.

We cannot conform to routine. We need to think about what we are doing and why we are doing it. Otherwise, it would make no sense to seek the Lord.

Analyze your heart and see if you have worshiped, sought and honored Him with all your heart.

Grace and Peace.
