There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot;
Ecclesiastes 3:1,2
Today we will continue the series “The Seasons of Life”, where through 4 texts we will be led to reflect on the moments through which our lives are composed by making an analogy with the seasons of the year, thus being spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Without a doubt, we can say that our life is full of different circumstances that are not always well defined as the seasons, sometimes spring is not only flowers and thinking about this I remembered a violin concerto by a very famous Italian composer named Antonio Vivaldi, entitled “The Four Seasons”.
In his composition, through music he brings in different notes these nuances that exist within each season, just like life, but it is still possible to perceive that there is a cycle, a beginning, a middle, and an end. In the Bible we find numerous passages that speak exactly about this, the weather, and for our reflection we will talk about autumn.
Autumn
Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains because he is faithful. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.
Joel 2:23
This is a time of change. In the falling of the leaves, autumn reveals itself to be a time of letting go, of liberation from old things, and of renunciation. Letting go can be a painful exercise, but it is important. Without this letting go of the leaves, trees would not be renewed, because the fallen leaves fertilize the soil, making it stronger for other plants to germinate.
Thus, the season of autumn teaches us: we must strip away in order to become more fruitful. And then, to see the good that has been sown sprout as a generous gift. This is a time to change our garments, and thus, also a time of redemption.
Autumn is, then, much more than a dark or gray time, of dry leaves on the ground. It is a time for interiorization, for turning our thoughts to the depths of our heart. Time to reflect on what prevents us from being better people, and what makes it impossible for us to grow.
Just as trees let their leaves fall to the ground to make room for the birth of new leaves, new life, so our life needs times of emptying and starting over.
So I ask you, how do you usually deal when something ends in your life? For example, a friendship. Is your heart at peace or tormented? Our reaction to these situations demonstrates how our heart is before the Lord. For this is the moment when we know if our heart trusts the Lord.
I believe that we think little about the end, despite its importance. We tend to ignore it or see it as something negative, which it is not always. Seeking the Lord’s discernment about the end of seasons makes us patient, which creates trust in God’s sovereignty. Calm your heart, our Father knows the right moment to put an end to each cycle of our life.
Conclusion
Thinking about what we talked about today, take some time to reflect about what is the cycle that needs to end and ask for discernment from the Lord, to do it in the best way. I leave as a tip that you list things that need to be closed in your life and pray for each item.
God bless you!

Thank you♥️ I always look forward to read your posts😇 It’s very uplifting… It’s like the questions that I am seeking are being answered here. 💜💜💜 God bless you.
Insightful. Thank you, Nicole. This is making me think about some things. It has been a very rough almost yr for me & my family. We are broken & there are so many questions in my mind and heart and worries about how it’s all going to go. What’s going to happen & how things are going to be from here on out. I feel like I’m the only one looking within to see what & where I’m going wrong & trying to learn from mistakes. I feel like no one else even thinks they’re wrong at all & therefore aren’t working on themselves or solutions to all that’s wrong. I feel like it’s just me trying & praying & crying & everyone else is just angry & bitter & not doing anything to try & resolve anything. I would appreciate prayers if anyone feels led. Thank you & GOD bless.😪🙏🙏🙏😔
Lecia, be reassured you are a precious child of God & all of us are being renewed & pulled closer to Gods willed walk We are being refined daily & going through rough times with nobody understanding is rough but when we take our eyes off self & rely on His willed PURPOSE & PROMISES we are Never alone & He will not leave us nor forsake us in a time such as this! My mom paased Feb 18th & i was in total breakdown mind ,body & sou, then pandemic hitl but GOD knew I had to refocus spiritually for new growth… phsically, memtally & emotionally for my own health. We are only one person & our strength needs replenishing thats why He gave a day of REST. He also gave His PROMISED TRUTH, our Sword . We are to remew our mind for His sacrifice already paid & our secured positionin His prepared Kingdom so its necessay to have a personal relationship! He is our healing comforter & carries His sheep when they are lost until they listen to His voice. Closer we get tbe more satan fights to destroy our mindset…You my dear are being carried so He can place you on solid ground & see & trust in Him. We’re responsible for our choices & pray for others & let God be God! He doesn’t make mistakes nor does His WORD return void. Seek Him with a pure heart focused on God & He will direct you as a lamp unto your feet & give you the desires of your heart Amen🕆👀💓 Pray & rejoice, sing to Him & receive His precious presence He loves it & you!!!
Thank you. I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom 5 1/2 yrs ago & it’s hard.
One of my greatest desires is to sing to HIM actually but I wasn’t blessed with a singing voice I’m afraid. But I would so LOVE to be able to. If I could sing, I’d sing constantly lol.
I’ve just been holding on to Jesus for dear life or I’d been totally swept away in despair by now & it made me feel good for you to say He’s carrying me.🤗🙏Thank You, JESUS, that You are here with me in the boat during this storm & for being my Best Friend through this time when- except for You-I feel so alone. I love You, Jesus💜🕊
Thank you, friend. GOD bless you.
