Have we done things to please others? Where’s our treasure? Have we sought the approval of men and women instead of the Lord’s approval?
God has spoken a lot to my heart about it and has shown me how I must seek only to please Him and no one else. We constantly do things to please other people and I would like to talk a little about this topic.
Come on?
God reveals our identity
I have been thinking a lot and learning a lot about character, about who I am and how I should act. In this adventure of getting to know myself better, I realize more and more that I can only clearly understand who I am, when I know my Father more and more.
It is no use wanting to discover, for myself, who I am, since I don’t even know what I need and don’t I was the one who grew up. I have a Creator who knows me, knows all my yearnings, all my struggles and knows more about me than I do myself.
“Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness,”
Genesis 1:26
Knowing that we are made in the image and likeness of the Lord, means that only He knows who we are and the only way to find out what we should do and what His plans are for our future, is by seeking Him. .
The focus is to please the Lord!
“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
Galatians 1:10
Paul warns us about seeking the favor of men, that is, pleasing men instead of pleasing God. Unfortunately it is extremely common to leave aside our characteristics and our qualities, to shape our character according to a situation or a social group.
But why does that happen? This is just because we are proud and we want people’s tension, we want to be seen in front of society. We want to be known and have status. What stays in my mind is: do we really need this? Do we really need to be ashamed of who we are and try to insert new characteristics into our character?
The answer is no, for the simple fact that God’s plans are perfect and, knowing this, we can conclude that the characteristics that He placed in us are the most perfect. The characteristics that He placed in each of us are the characteristics that He himself will use to glorify To yourself.
Through Jesus, we have value!
“Why should I care about what others say, if the only person whose opinion really matters, looks at me and says that I am more valuable than all the jewels in this world?”
Transformed Ego Book – Timothy Keller
This is a phrase that marked my life greatly, because it made me open my eyes and realize that really nothing else matters, except to please the Lord and accomplish what He teaches me.
I confess that I often fail to please him, I have my struggles and difficulties. But I know that nothing is an excuse for me to stop trying to be more and more like Jesus. I live on Grace and Grace undeserved, such Grace that is renewed over me every morning, again, no matter how much I don’t deserve it.
So, if I received something that I didn’t deserve, there is nothing more fair than giving it due value. In the same way it works with our characteristics: we did not deserve to be created, but by the mercy of God here we are. So let us do it in His way.
Grace and peace.

This is why we must be born again, as the scriptures say after sin entered into the world Adam had a son and he was created in his image (that is to say Adam’s). We must be restored to the image that God intended when he made mankind.
This article is a reminder to me that Jesus paid it all. I am no longer a prisoner of guilt, shame and condemnation. That I can now live my life by faith in the One who gave himself for me. The pressure to perform has been removed and the weight of having to prove myself to others lifted. For I am approved by my heavenly Father.
Thank you for putting me in remembrance. God bless you!
This is so inspiring amessage,it warms my soul always listening and reading the word of God.

Marguerite!! Thanks for God Word for me.God Bless You.
We must never minimise who we are from God’s perspective. But when His image is in us we can reflect His splendor and demonstrate our greatest capacity as human beings. Our transformation brings glory to God and fulfillment to our souls.
Enabled by the Holy Spirit we must descipline the SELF (where the mind goes, the man follows) and believe what God thinks about us. Sin is no longer my master and I chose to be a servant into Christ. Blessings to all
Powerful. Thank you very much
Thank you for sharing ❤️ I really needed to hear this. It has been an eye opener for me. Thanks again . Have a blessed day🙏🤗❤️🙌
Leo,
I read your blog and think that it hits the nail on the head. We are nothing without God and Jesus. My problem is that God remains silent and absent from my life. No matter how much I plead for God to show up in my life and help me along the path. 40+ years and still nothing, no sign, not a single peep, just empty silence. I can’t be what God wants when God won’t tell me, show me. Thanks, and may God Bless You, in Jesus name, Amen.
When you read His Word, you will learn what He wants us to be. He is probably showing up in ways that you’d never imagine. The book of Ester doesn’t mention much about God speaking to anyone but you can see His providence. Everyone has different gifts and purposes. Maybe yours is something else. Regardless, it would be for the edification of His church, the Body, not just for personal desires. I’m glad that you still believe in Him. Trust that He hears you and is doing what’s best for you. Remember, His will is not our own. Who knows the mind of Our Heavenly Father? Keep the faith brother and watch for how He moves in your life.
Perhaps a change in perspective would help. God is constantly reaching out to us. Just me responding to you is Him working through me to reach you. Other examples, have you ever thought about someone and they called you? Or someone said something that perfectly fit something you were wrestling with? Or something was weighing on you and a scripture for a devotion you do completely resonates with that something? Or a song perfectly fitting some happening in your life at that exact moment? Anything one might call deja vu? Or synchronicity? Or you might have had a hard day and the weather is amazingly calming and beautiful…or you might be sad and as you are sitting on your porch outside some critter in nature does something that makes you laugh. Perhaps a troubling event in the brings on a dream that resolves it. All of these are examples of God speaking to you. Yes He can be auditory also but that is not His most common way to reach out to us. One other thing I find beneficial is not to seek with an agenda (like show me my purpose God), let Him show you what He wants to and just receive it. I hope this helps you to maybe seek with a different perspective. It truly can amaze when you do.
I needed to hear this today thank u so much for sharing ……God Bless

I have a question…. We saw that God has allready made us perfect in his likeness and this means we are allready complete and there is no lack in us because we are all designed just the way God is… correct?
In this case sometimes we are not really happy with our own attitude, this might be the way that we think or the way we act or the way we do things… And at the end of the day we try our level best to change ourselves in these areas and to an extent we fail… What is your say on this?
Hi Jobin.
I’m replying to you as Joseph above.
Blessings
From my experience, you’ll never be able to do it on your own. It’s constantly staying in the Word of God and asking the Holy Spirit to dwell in you. Giving up your own desires and submitting 100% to His will is what did it for me. Having a serious prayer life, using the blood of Jesus with the authority given and being fervent in all prayer and supplication. It’s almost instant however, remember the enemy doesnt want you to change so it is a battle. Learning how to identify certain spirits and strongholds and then commanding them out in the name of Jesus helps. Often times you have to fight for your freedom and in order to stay free, you have to stay very close to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He will cleanse your heart and renew your spirit. How he does it is mysterious and miraculous sometimes but never stop asking Him to do so with a sincere heart. God bless in Jesus Name
Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
The times we battle ourselves would be times battling spiritual principalities of darkness to remain in line with God. We are not God but are seen as His Son is seen, being hidden within Him. This does not mean we do not struggle with the things opposing God that desire our attention. We are told to work out our salvation and this internal struggle is part of it.
This has really changed my thought patterns today, this message is a big point of positive transformation in my life.
We need and must please our creator and master Jesus and no one else.
Besides you can never please human beings, because whatever you do for them will not be enough.
God bless you so much.
