What is the enemy’s power?

What is the enemy’s power?

Whoever looks for you in your past will find you there? Or will you find an empty place?

Hell at all times wants to take us to a place of our past, making us live all the mistakes again or taking away our peace with remorse for what has already gone. But while the enemy wants to remind you of your past, God keeps releasing things about your future…

God made you new!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

2 Corinthians 5:17

Christ made all things new. You are no longer the same person you were yesterday, He constantly puts you in new positions, plants new dreams in you, continues daily to pour new blessings into your heart. But the enemy just as constantly tries to focus your eyes on what has already been forgiven by the Father.

He knows that have been given to you a son’s identity, he knows how much access you have to the Father. What he always struggled to have, you have for free.

But we have a lot to learn from the enemy and I know this phrase sounds strange, but I’ll explain.

Don’t give him power

“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in he”

Matthew 10:28

The enemy already knows his future, his destiny. He will always be defeated before the strength and power of God. He knows that within us, if we seek, we have this strength coming from the Father.

Even though he knows that his own end is failure, every day he tempts us again, wanting to destroy the works of God. Pulling our attention away from the Lord.

Do you know why this happens? Because you know your ending, you know that God promised you eternal life, forgiveness, reign and freedom… But still you give up every day.

The crux of the matter is that he doesn’t try to change his future, because he knows he’s defeated. But he knows he can change yours.

Resist!

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

James 4:7

Hell wants you to have the same ending as it. The enemy knows he can’t get closer to God, but he wants you to move away from the Father and His promises. His daily “victory” has nothing to do with his strength, but with our weakness in having faith and hope focused 100% on God.

He has no power to change you, change your identity, your future. But he knows that if he can pull your attention to his lies, his vision will no longer focus on seeing the Father’s truths.

Don’t let your attention turn to discussing your past and things that no longer exist. God is releasing blessings and truths upon your future. He has already released forgiveness and purification upon your life so that you may be renewed and transformed for your future.

Work so that if someone looks for you in your past, you won’t be found there anymore. May every step of your life take you forward. Fix your eyes on the promises of a future in Him.

Listen! God is constantly in your ear telling you who you are in Him and what He wants to do in your life. Holy is not the one who never gets dirty, but the one who continually washes himself!
