Don’t doubt God’s actions!

Stop doubting God’s actions!

It is common to see people doubting God’s actions. Many times we find ourselves in situations so complicated that we begin to fear that our Lord is not listening to our prayers or has forgotten us.

But, although it is common, this should not happen because our Father is the first to want the best for us, His children. So today we are going to reflect on doubt and how dangerous it can be.

Is it a sin to doubt?

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Hebrews 11: 6

Doubt is not a sin, as long as it does not compromise our faith, so when it comes to God’s action in our lives it is wrong to doubt, because in this case we are showing unbelief about what the Lord has already done and is doing in our lives. And how it is written in verse above, it is necessary to have faith to please God.

When we doubt, we act by our own strength, being unstable. In James 1:6-8, it is written that whoever doubts must ask by faith, because whoever doubts is like the wave of the sea, carried and stirred by the wind, and will receive nothing from the Lord, for he has a divided mind and is unstable in everything you do.

Just believe, have faith!

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

Hebrews 10:23

I’m sure that at some point or situation, like me, you already said that you trusted God and a little while later you put a “but” in the phrase “I believe that, but …” Today I want to tell you that there is no need for that “but”. God is sovereign and can act in all things.

Likewise, our Lord is faithful and keeps his promises, so do not doubt God’s promises in your life. In Numbers 23:19, it is written that God is not a man to lie, nor a son of man to repent. Here again, we are sure that what was spoken by Him will be fulfilled.

Fighting doubt

We can feed the doubt within us or reject it. A strong weapon in relation to this evil is the word of God. In the Bible we find answers to any and all doubts, so develop the habit of reading it and using it in combat it’s eccentric. It reminds me that when Jesus was tempted to doubt by Satan, he used the scriptures to defend himself and we must do the same.

Finally, when you doubt, remember what God has done and be grateful. We human beings are memory failures and we easily forget the good things we have already experienced.

God bless you!
