Prayer: Remembering the sacrifice on the cross

Prayer: Remembering the sacrifice on the cross

We are approaching Easter, such an important date for us Christians, where our Savior died for us on the cross, freeing us from the bonds of sin.

And today I want to pray that we will never forget what our savior did for us, giving his life so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. I also leave here a passage especially for you today:

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

John 11:25-26

Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I will leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak in your own way.

Prayer

Dear God, I thank you for giving up your only Son to die for me on the Cross. I thank you because you had mercy on me, even with my faults and sins. I thank you for your infinite love and sacrifice. You have bestowed undeserved grace upon us by giving us the best gift we could ever receive, salvation.

Father, thank you that today I have free access to you, that I can now be talking directly to you. I pray that not only today, but that every day of my life I will remember the greatest act of love of humanity, which was Jesus giving himself up to die for me. Thank you Jesus, thank you so much.

I pray that every day more people will come to know the message of the cross and just like me, experience how wonderful it is to be a child of a God where we find freedom, love, affection and care. Lord, may the glory of this day be in what comes from above and not in worldly things with chocolates and Easter bunnies.

May my life be a vessel of blessing for more people to know of your love. My God, yours is the power, the glory, and the honor forever. It is in Jesus’ name that I pray, give thanks, and ask that my words may come as a sweet fragrance to the Lord!

Prayer of a mere servant of God

God bless you!
